Abstract

1440327 Wall cladding MASTIC CORP 19 Sept 1973 43966/73 Heading EIW Wall cladding comprises backing boards e.g. 12 fixed horizontally or vertically to a supporting structure e.g. 48, and covered by extruded or bent panels e.g. 10 which are shaped to interlock with an adjacent panel along one edge, and to be retained by the backing board along the other edge. The backing board has one edge rebated on the inside, an inturned lip along one edge of the panel being located in the rebate. The panel is shaped along the same edge to retain an inturned lip along the other edge of an adjacent panel. The backing board alone is fixed to the supporting structure. The panels may be of plastics or metal.
