Abstract

1,106,853. Cladding sheets. E. C. PAYTER & CO. Ltd. 20 Jan., 1967 [29 Jan., 1966], No. 4080/66. Heading E1B. A stepped wall or roof (as shown) cladding sheet has upper and lower edge flanges each bent through 180‹, or a series of upper and lower edge lugs similarly bent. As shown, the upper edge flange has holes 18 formed at intervals therealong, with corresponding smaller, co-axial holes formed through the portion 14 of the sheet running under the flange. Corresponding dimples 22 are formed in the lower edge flange, which engage in the holes 18 of an adjacent sheet. The sheet is fastened to, e.g. rafters 24 by fastening means 25 passing through the holes in the portions 14 of the sheet, and each hammered home by a punch passing through the corresponding hole 18.
