Naval mountings.-Relates to mountings in which the gun recoils beyond the limits of a fixed barbette C and a shield B having a floor or platform B<1> is provided which moves with the gun in training. The invention consists in providing this floor with a pocket or well b' which is situated outside the barbette and accommodates the breech of the gun when recoiling at high angles of elevation.
