Aiming - rests for; stocks: sighting accessories; firing - appliances applicable generally; breech actions, sliding breech - block; breech actions, sliding barrel and breech - block; small-arms combined with other articles. - Consists in providing an automatic pistol a with a spiked rod d, for supporting it above the parapet of a trench, a deep magazine b, a hyposcope h, and means such as a cord k for pulling the trigger. The pistol is so mounted on the rod that its height can be adjusted. A steadying-spike g is provided on the rod. A recess is provided in the hyposcope to receive the recoiling part of the pistol. The rod d and spike f can be used as a weapon.
