Abstract

144,540. Renard, H. J. P., and Demarteau, B. Oct. 15, 1919. Breech actions, sliding breech-block, and sliding barrel and breech-block; small-arms combined with walking-sticks; stocks.- Consists of a walking-stick adapted to serve as an auxiliary stock for an automatic pistol, and to carry a bayonet at its lower end. The stick C has a removable handle B which is held by a catch c, and encloses an electric signalling-lamp, the lens a and press-button b of which are shown. The stick is made hollow, to receive a magazine D forming part of an automatic Browning or Colt pistol F, which may be secured to the stick and held by a catch s when the handle B has been removed. The stick encloses a bayonet o, held by a catch P which also serves to secure the bayonet, when reversed, in operative position. In the housed position of the bayonet, the end o<1> acts as a ferrule for the stick.
