Breech actions, sliding breech-block.-Relates to straight-pull bolt actions, and consists in a construction specially modified for miniature rifles, and light rifles having no magazine. The breech-bolt 10 is provided with a helical groove 12, with which a stud 13 on the operating-slide 16 engages. The operating-slide is cylindrical, and entirely encloses the breech-action when the breech is closed. To prevent firing of the gun unless the slide is fully forward and the breech locked, a stud 23, Figs. 13 and 14, on the slide projects into the path of the head 21 of the firing-pin.
