Breech actions, sliding barrel and breech-block; breech actions, sliding- chamber; breechactions, sliding breech-block.- Relates to recoiling- barrel or recoiling- chamber guns having a breech-block formed of two or more parts hinged together to allow the rear part to move in a curved path, and consists (1) in forming the locking faces on the front part 8<a> only, and (2) in arranging the rear part 8<d> in a slanting position, so that on the recoil of the gun, it experiences no sudden change of direction. The front part 8<a> is guided rectilinearly during the common recoil of breech-bolt and barrel or breech-bolt and chamber.
