Abstract

121,294. Marin, A. J. Nov. 12, 1917, [Convention date]. Explosives.-Consists in the addition of nitrate or perchlorate of guanidine, or nitrate of dicyandiamidine, and trinitronaphthalene to explosives containing ammonium perchlorate and sodium nitrate incorporated with nitrohydrocarbons such as liquid di- and tri-nitrotoluenes. An example contains perchlorate of ammonia 34 to 32.2, nitrate of quanidine 26 to 24, nitrate of soda 25 to 24.6, trinitronaphthalene 4' to 5.6, and a mixture of liquid di- and tri-nitrotoluenes 11 to 13.6 per cent.
