Abstract
1,211,232. Boxes. MARDON, SON & HALL Ltd. 5 Sept., 1968 [5 Sept., 1967], No. 40551/67. Heading B8P. A paperboard &c. box comprises a tray-like body and a similar lid whose walls slide over the outer surfaces of the walls of the body such that outfolded extensions 16, (17), Fig. 1 (not shown), of the end walls of the body engage infolded and adhesively secured extensions 18, (19), Fig. 2 (not shown), of end walls of the lid and resist removal of the lid from the body. The extensions 18, (19) of the lid may include unadhered end portions 20, (21), the rear parts of which are engaged by the extensions 16, (17) of the body. The lid and body are erected by connecting flaps (6)-(9) of blanks, Figs. 1 and 2, to side walls (3), (5) by adhesive applied in triangular areas of the side walls defined by score lines (12)-(15) which also permit the lid or body to collapse. The lid may be formed with a hinged display flap (24) defined by lines of weakness (23).
