Abstract

1,205,760. Spray carburetters. OUTBOARD MARINE CORP. Oct.10, 1967, [Aug. 11, 1967], No. 46271/67. Heading F1B. Two fuels, e.g. petrol and kerosene, are supplied through separate nozzles 24 and 22 in accordance with the position of the throttle valve 20. Kerosene is fed to the nozzle 22 from a float chamber 28 supplied by a fuel pump 30 from a remote fuel tank. Petrol is fed to the nozzle 24 from a float chamber 42 supplied by a fuel pump 44 from a remote fuel tank. The conduit 34 between the chamber 42 and nozzle 22 contains a compressible section 36 of rubber tubing which is pinched progressively between a plate 48 and a cam follower 46. The cam 50 is actuated by a remote control and the follower 46 is linked to the throttle valve 20 for conjoint operation.
