Abstract

519,591. Spray carburetters. TAKEDA, K. Sept. 26, 1938, No. 27998. [Class 7(iii)] Light and heavy fuel from separate float chambers are discharged through nozzles 6, 6<1> respecfively into the mixing chamber of a straightthrough carburetter provided with the usual handcontrolled sliding valves 8, 9. Light fuel, which may be alcohol, is fed to the annular passage 4 and heavy fuel is conveyed to to the passage 3 which terminates in a nozzle 5. The area of the nozzle 5 is larger than that of the discharge nozzle 6 on the engine side of the throttle valves. The fuel passage between the float chambers and the spraying points are uncontrolled, light fuel alone being discharged during small throttle openings.
