Abstract

495,387. Spray carburetters. SCOTT, H. T. May 11, 1937, No. 13395. [Class 7 (iii)] Unvaporized fuel in the mixture impinging on one side of the throttle is collected and sprayed from the opposite side of the valve by suction. The fuel is collected in grooves 20, 21, 22 in the valve and sprayed through nozzle- . like orifices 24a, 25, 26 which lead from the grooves to the opposite side of the throttle. To direct the fuel into the grooves the walls of the grooves nearest the valve spindle have curved edges 34 whilst the other walls are straight and may be disposed beneath lips 33 on a spring metal ring 32.
