Abstract
357,284. Spray carburetters. ARMSTRONG SIDDELEY MOTORS, Ltd. and CANTRILL, H., Park Side, Coventry. July 1, 1930, No. 19923. [Class 7 (iii).] A slow-running duct 4 is connected with the main air passage 5 by three passages 2, 3, 13, the passage 2 being placed above the closed position of the throttle valve 6. The passages 2, 3 communicate with one another through a small hole 12. Air enters the duct 4 through a duct 8 and the upper passage 2 has the smallest, and the middle passage 3 the largest bore. As the throttle valve 6 is opened, the passages on the inlet side of the throttle valve change over from acting to dilute the slow-running mixture delivered by the preceding passage into the mixture delivery passages. The invention is particularly applicable to a carburetter as described in Specification 273,891, [Class 7 (iii), Internal-combustion engines, Carburetting-apparatus &c. for
