Abstract
119,756. Greville, E. E. Dec. 6, 1917. Transformers; regulating.-An induction coil for medical purposes has two or more secondary coils F, G mounted to slide over the primary coil A. A single vibrating contact-breaker C is associated with the primary. The windings F, G are connected by brushes to plates H, J, I, K which are connected to terminals as shown in Fig. 3. Primary current can be supplied from the terminals N, O, and secondary current from the coils F, G, separate or combined, from the terminals P Q, Q R. Regulation may be effected by moving the core as well as the secondary coils. The movable core may not occupy all the space inside the coils, and supplementary cores of various shapes may be introduced.
