Abstract

246,929. Schr÷der, E. Nov. 8, 1924. Transformers. - In a welding transformer in which regulation is effected by relative movement of the primary and secondary windings, the movable winding S is divided into two parts which are independently movable about the centre of an annular core A. The core is supported by bolts P radiating from bosses B to one of which is secured a notched disc K adapted to be engaged by a lever H pivoted at i to the coil former so as to enable the coil to be retained in any position of adjustment. The transformer is enclosed in, a cylindrical casing U so as to facilitate portability by rolling, and the casing is extended at one end to provide storage accommodation for accessories such as welding mask, gloves, &c.
