Regulating transformers.-In transformers for arc-welding in which regulation is effected by moving the windings in relation to each other, or by moving a magnetic shunt, or by employing both these methods, a secondary winding having a comparatively high number of turns, preferably more than fifty, is employed so as to obtain a more nearly constant current in. the secondary circuit.
