Abstract

280,387. Schall, W. E. Dec. 10, 1926. Electric appliances. - The apparatus required for the production of high frequency and high tension currents for diathermy is placed in two separate boxes a, b, the box a containing the transformer c, the box b containing the spark gaps h, inductances d, d<1> and condensers f, g. The electric connections between the boxes are made by means of plugs and sockets j, n, the boxes being either superposed as shown or placed side by side. A projecting rim i may be provided on the upper box to fit round the other when in use. The primary circuit c<1> of the transformer is controlled by a hand-switch r or foot-switch s, and tappings u are provided in the transformer primary to suit different voltages. Tappings are also taken from the inductance coil d', the coil d being movable by means of a shaft v.
