Abstract

105,649. Voss, E. May 15, 1916. Two-stroke-cycle engines. - The engine shown in Fig. 5 compresses scavenging air in its crank chamber and combustible mixture in an inclined pump B<1> which discharges into the working cylinder when the ports D, A, C are covered by the main piston. An automatic or a mechanicallyactuated non-return valve is located in the pump delivery pipe. Charges enter the pump B<1> through a terminal port B. An exhaust valve is located in the cvlinder head.
