Un luminophore est proposé. Le luminophore comprend une composition représentée par la formule : M<1>02.aM<2>0.bM<3>X2:M<4>où M<1>est au moins un élément choisi dans le groupe constitué de Si, Ge, Ti, Zr et Sn ; M<2>est au moins un élément choisi dans le groupe constitué de Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba et Zn ; M<3>est au moins un élément choisi dans le groupe constitué de Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba et Zn ; X est au moins un élément halogène ; M<4>est au moins un élément incluant essentiellement Eu<2+>choisi dans le groupe constitué des éléments de terres rares et Mn ; a est compris dans la plage 0,1 <= a <= 1,3 ; et b est compris dans la plage 0,1 <= B ≤ 0,25.
