Abstract

Elément composite comportant un corps de base métallique et au moins deux couches d'un élément dur, superposées et ne contenant pas de liant métallique, caractérise en ce que le corps de base est enrobé d'une ou de plusieurs couches constituées chacune d'un ou de plusieurs carbures et/ou de plusieurs nitrures de Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, Si, B, et en ce que cette couche, ou, le cas échéant, ces couches, portent à leur tour une ou plusieurs couches constituées chacune d'une combinaison d'au moins un oxyde et d'au moins un nitrure et/ou d'au moins un oxynitrure de Cr, Al, Ca, Mg, Th, Sc, Y, La, Ti, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, la teneur en azote de la couche extérieure étant comprise entre 0,1 et 30 % (en atomes), et de préférence entre 0,2 et 15 % (en atomes).
