Abstract

La présente invention est relative à un procédé de préparation d'isopropényl phénol par décomposition thermique d'oligomères de p-isopropényl phénol, caractérisé en ce qu'on introduit en continu lesdits oligomères dans un milieu réactionnel organique inerte chauffé sous pression réduite, à un débit tel que la concentration des oligomères dans le milieu réactionnel est maintenue à une valeur non supérieure à 30 % en poids, réalisant ainsi la décomposition thermique des oligomères dans le milieu réactionnel ; et on distille l'isopropényl phénol résultant, en continu, hors du système réactionnel et on le recueille.
