Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de production de maytansinol et de ses dérivés. Le maytansinol, la maytanacine ou le propionate de maytansinol sont produits par culture d'un microorganisme appartenant au genre Nocardia capable de produire du maytansinol, de la maytanacine ou du propionate de maytansinol dans un milieu de culture contenant des sources de carbone assimilables et des sources digestibles jusqu'à ce que le maytansinol, la maytanacine ou le propionate de maytansinol soient accumulés de façon substantielle dans ce milieu et récupération de ces composés. Les composés obtenus selon l'invention sont utiles comme agents antimitotiques.
