Claims (23)
1. Katalysator för rening av avgaser, vilken kata-lysator omfattar en katalytiskt väsentligen inert, eld-5 fast monolitisk bärare, ett inre skikt, som innehäller en katalytiskt aktiv eldfast oxid och som bildats pä ytan av bäraren, och ett yttre skikt, som innehäller en katalytiskt aktiv eldfast oxid och som bildats pä ytan av det inre skiktet, kännetecknad därav, att bära-10 ren har kontinuerliga längstrackta fria strömningskana-ler, av vilka var och en sträcker sig genom bäraren och vilka begränsas av en tunn vägg, det inre skiktet är ut-fällt pä kanalernas väggar och det innehäller ceriumoxid och platina och dess vikt är 10-200 g/1 katalysator, det 15 yttre skiktet är utfällt pä ytan av det inre skiktet och det innehäller en zirkoniumförening och rodium och dess vikt är 5-60 g/1 katalysator, och den katalytiskt aktiva eldfasta oxiden är finfördelad och den har en specifik ytarea av minst 10 m2/9·
2. Katalysator enligt patentkravet 1, känne tecknad därav, att tjockleken av det inre skiktet är 5-110 pm och tjockleken av det yttre skiktet är 3-35 pm.
3. Katalysator enligt patentkravet 1 eller 2, 25 kännetecknad därav, att den katalytiskt aktiva eldfasta oxiden är aktiv aluminiumoxid.

Förfarande för framställning av en katalysator avsedd för rening av avgaser, vilken katalysator omfattar 15 en katalytiskt väsentligen inert, eldfast monolitisk bä-rare, ett inre skikt, som innehäller en katalytiskt aktiv eldfast oxid och som bildats pä ytan av bäraren, och ett yttre skikt, som innehäller en katalytiskt aktiv eldfast oxid och som bildats pä ytan av det inre skiktet, varvid 20 bäraren har kontinuerliga längsträckta fria strömningska-naler, av vilka var och en sträcker sig genom bäraren och vilka begränsas av en tunn vägg, det inre skiktet är ut-fällt pä kanalernas väggar och det innehäller ceriumoxid och platina och dess vikt är 10-200 g/1 katalysator, det 25 yttre skiktet är utfällt pä ytan av det inre skiktet och det innehäller en zirkoniumförening och rodium och dess vikt är 5-60 g/1 katalysator, och den katalytiskt aktiva eldfasta oxiden är finfördelad och den har en specifik ytarea av minst 10 m2/g, kännetecknat därav 30 att en uppslamning, som innehäller en finfördelad, katalytiskt aktiv eldfast oxid och/eller en prekursor därav, ceriumoxid eller en annan ceriumförening och platina el-ler en platinaförening, utfälls pä en katalytiskt väsentligen inert eldfast monolitisk bärare, varefter en upp-35 slamning, som innehäller en finfördelad katalytiskt aktiv eldfast oxid och/eller en prekursor därav, zirkoniumoxid 28 39 462 eller en annan zirkoniumförening och rodium eller en ro-diumförening, utfälls pä bäraren, och bäraren,pä vilken uppslamningarna utfällts, kalcineras.
12. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 11, k ä n n e -5 tecknat därav, att tjockleken av det inre skiktet är 5-110 pm och tjockleken av det yttre skiktet är 3-35 pm.
13. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 11 eller 12, kännetecknat därav, att den katalytiskt akti- 10 va eldfasta oxiden är aktiv aluminiumoxid.
14. Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 11-13, kännetecknat därav, att bäraren bestär av kordierit.
15. Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 11-13, 15 kännetecknat därav, att bäraren bestär av me- tall.
16. Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 11-15, kännetecknat därav, att mängden ceriumoxid är 15-40 vikt-% beräknat pä det inre skiktet. 20
17. Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 11-16, kännetecknat därav, att mängden platina är 0,1-3,5 vikt-% beräknat pä det inre skiktet.
18. Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 11-17, kännetecknat därav, att zirkoniumföreningen 25 är zirkoniumoxid.
19. Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 11-17, kännetecknat därav, att zirkoniumföreningen är zirkonylacetat.
20. Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 11-19, 30 kännetecknat därav, att mängden zirkoniumfö rening är 10-30 vikt-% beräknat pä det yttre skiktet.
21. Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 11-20, kännetecknat därav, att mängden rodium är 0,05-2,00 vikt-% beräknat pä det yttre skiktet. 35 29 394:12
22. Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 11-21, kännetecknat därav, att platinaföreningen i uppslamningen är platinahydroxid.
23. Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 11-22, 5 kännetecknat därav, att rodiumföreningen i uppslamningen är rodiumnitrat.
