1. Förfarande för framställnin9 av 5-klor-3-klorsulfonyl-2-tiofenkarboxy1syraester med formeln (I) 5 SO?Cl ,_V il {I)

15 R är C1-c4 alkyl, kännetecknat därav, att en förening med formeln (II) S02C1 20 --/ ΓΊί ^ s COOK 25 där R avser det samma som ovan, kloreras i närvaro av aktiverat järn i ett organiskt 1ösningsmedel, som i reaktionsförhäl- landen är inert, eller i en blandning av sädana lösningsme- del, varvid klorgas mätäs tills 50 - 70 % av den önskade 5-klor-3-klorsulfonyl-2-tiofenkarboxylsyraestern med ; formeln I bildats, varvid nämnda aktiverade järn fram- : : ställts genom att suspendera 0,1 - 1,0 mol metalliskt järn : per mol av en förening med formeln II i 0,5 - 5 liter :./35 organiskt 1ösningsmedel, som i aktiveringsförhäl1anden är * inert, eller i en blandning av sädana 1 ösningsmedel och :V: 100 - 500 g klorgas per mol järn mätäs under 1-5 timmar.

Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, känneteck-10 n a t därav, att kloreringen av föreningar med formeln II genom matning av 5 - 50 g klorgas per timme och mol av en förening med formeln utförs vid 20 - 50°C, tills 50 - 70 % av den önskade 5 — k 1or-3-klorsulfonyl-2-tiofenkarboxy1syra-estern bildats och därefter halls reaktionsblandningen i 15 isvatten. • · *
