Abstract
Método para fabricar un despolarizador mixto estable de óxido de plata bivalente, caracterizado porque comprende (1) formar una mezcla de despolarizador de óxido de plata bivalente que contiene óxido de plata bivalente, (2) comprimir el despolarizador mixto, (3) tratar la pastilla de despolarizador mixto con una solución reductora suave que es lo suficientemente suave para no reducir ninguna parte substancial del óxido de plata bivalente a plata en las condiciones de tratamiento, (4) consolidar la pastilla de despolarizador mixto tratada en un recipiente de cátodo comprimiéndola en el recipiente, y (5) tratar el conjunto consolidado de despolarizador mixto/recipiente de cátodo con una solución reductora fuerte para formar una capa de plata substancialmente continua y permeable al electrolito en la superficie expuesta del despolarizador mixto.
