Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve discharge characteristics in heavy loading by adding fluorine system resin powder and interfacial activator solution to form slurry-like positive electrode mixture, rolling the positive electrode mixture to make the resin powder fibrous and drying it to form anode. CONSTITUTION:Active positive electrode material 2 of metal oxide, conductive agent of carbon powder and fluorine resin powder are sufficiently mixed, and then water to which interfacial activator is added is gradually added, mixed and kneaded to make slurry-like positive electrode material 2. Then it is rolled into a thin layer to make the fluorine resin powder fibrous and thereafter heated to remove completely water content. Then it is press fitted and supported in the inner surface of a metal container 1 to form an anode 2. Interfacial activator used for forming this positive electrode 2 is preferably of non-ionic system which readily breaks in the positive electrode mixture, with its density being 0.01-10wt%.
