Abstract
Una endoprótesis intraluminal que comprende: un tubo reticular que tiene un diámetro no desplegado y un diámetro aumentado, caracterizado porque el tubo comprende una viga estructural (14) que se extiende entre un primer extremo del tubo y un segundo extremo del tubo, e incluye: a) elementos longitudinales primero y segundo (22, 24), cada elemento extendiéndose al menos parcialmente entre los extremos primero y segundo del tubo, y b) una ranura (30) entre los elementos longitudinales primero y segundo, formada a través de todo el grosor de la viga, donde la anchura de la ranura permanece sustancialmente inalterada cuando el tubo se expande desde el diámetro no desplegado hasta el diámetro expandido, y donde la viga estructural cambia de una primera geometría a una segunda geometría, cuando el tubo cambia desde el diámetro no desplegado al diámetro aumentado.
Description
Endoprótesis.
Esta invención se refiere a endoprótesis para
aplicaciones intraluminales. Más en concreto, esta invención atañe
a una estructura nueva para tales endoprótesis.
Las endoprótesis se utilizan ampliamente para
numerosas aplicaciones, en las que la endoprótesis es colocada en
el lumen de un paciente, y expandida. Tales endoprótesis pueden
utilizarse en lumen coronarios u otros lumen vasculares, así como
en otros lumen corporales.
Por lo común las endoprótesis son elementos
cilíndricos. Las endoprótesis se expanden desde diámetros reducidos
hasta diámetros aumentados. Frecuentemente tales endoprótesis son
colocadas en un catéter de balón, con la endoprótesis en el estado
de diámetro reducido. En esta colocación se hace avanzar la
endoprótesis sobre el catéter, hasta un punto de colocación. En el
punto se infla el balón, para expandir la endoprótesis al diámetro
aumentado. El balón es desinflado y retirado, dejando en su posición
la endoprótesis con el diámetro aumentado. De este modo, se utiliza
tales endoprótesis para expandir zonas ocluidas en la vasculatura, u
otro lumen, de un paciente.
Son numerosos los ejemplos de endoprótesis del
arte previo. Por ejemplo, la patente de EE.UU. número 5 449 373, de
Pinchasik et al., muestra una endoprótesis con al menos dos
segmentos rígidos unidos por un conector flexible. La patente de
EE.UU. número 5 695 516, de Fischell, muestra una endoprótesis con
una celda que tiene forma de mariposa cuando la endoprótesis está
en estado de diámetro reducido. Tras la expansión de la
endoprótesis, la celda asume una forma hexagonal.
La endoprótesis de la invención, es de la clase
revelada en la patente de EE.UU. número 5 695 516.
En el diseño de la endoprótesis, es deseable que
la endoprótesis sea flexible a lo largo de su eje longitudinal,
para permitir el paso de la endoprótesis a través de segmentos
arqueados de la vasculatura de un paciente, u otro lumen corporal.
Preferentemente la endoprótesis tendrá, como máximo, una mínima
contracción longitudinal cuando sea expandida, y una vez expandida
resistirá fuerzas de compresión.
Para satisfacer este requisito, la endoprótesis
de la invención está caracterizada por el hecho de que el tubo
comprende una viga estructural, que se extiende entre un primer
extremo del tubo y un segundo extremo del tubo, y comprende a)
elementos longitudinales primero y segundo que se extienden, cada
elemento, al menos parcialmente entre los extremos primero y
segundo del tubo, y b) una ranura entre los elementos longitudinales
primero y segundo, donde la anchura de la ranura permanece
sustancialmente constante cuando el tubo se expande desde el
diámetro no desplegado hasta el diámetro expandido, y donde la viga
estructural cambia desde una primera geometría a una segunda
geometría, cuando el tubo cambia desde el diámetro no desplegado al
diámetro aumentado.

la figura 13 es la vista de la figura 12, con la
endoprótesis modificada para que las vigas de soporte incluyan
elementos paralelos, separados, de acuerdo con la presente
invención.
En referencia ahora a las diversas figuras de
ilustraciones, en las que los elementos idénticos enumeran de
idéntica forma, se proporciona una descripción de la realización
preferida de la presente invención. Donde se muestra varias
realizaciones, los elementos comunes son enumerados de forma similar
y no descritos por separado, añadiéndose apóstrofes para distinguir
las realizaciones.
Tal como se describirá de forma más completa, la
presente invención está dirigida a una nueva viga de soporte para
una endoprótesis expansible. La viga de soporte es aplicable a una
amplia variedad de diseños de endoprótesis. En una realización
preferida, la guía de soporte se utilizará como segmento
longitudinal en una endoprótesis. Por lo tanto, se describirá ahora
tal endoprótesis con referencia a las figuras 1 a 9.
Subsiguientemente se describirá el uso de la nueva viga con otros
diseños de endoprótesis (a saber, los mostrados en la patente de
EE.UU. número 5 449 373, de Pinchasik et al., y en la patente
de EE.UU. número 5 695 516, de Fischell), para ilustrar el amplio
rango de aplicabilidad de la nueva viga de soporte, a una amplia
variedad de diferentes diseños de endoprótesis.
La figura 1 ilustra una endoprótesis 10 que
tiene una longitud en reposo L, y un diámetro reducido o no
desplegado D_{r}. La endoprótesis 10 es del diseño mostrado en la
mencionada aplicación de patente de EE.UU. La ranura de la
construcción de nueva viga, tal como se describirá, no se muestra en
la figura 1.
Por sencillez en la ilustración, la endoprótesis
10 se muestra lisa en la figura 2, que ilustra una circunferencia
en reposo C_{r} (C_{r} = \pi D_{r}). En la figura 2, se
muestra posiciones A, B, C, D y E, separadas respecto de sus
posiciones normales formadas integralmente A_{1}, B_{1},
C_{1}, D_{1} y E_{1}. Esto permite que se muestre la
endoprótesis 10 como si hubiera sido cercenada en posiciones
normalmente formadas integralmente A - A_{1}, B - B_{1}, C -
C_{1}, D - D_{1} y E - E_{1}, y en disposición plana. La
figura 6 es una parte aumentada de la vista de la figura 2, para
ilustrar mejor una estructura de celda que será descrita.
La endoprótesis 10 es un tubo reticular, hueco.
La endoprótesis 10 puede expandirse desde el diámetro de reposo
D_{r} (y la correspondiente circunferencia en reposo C_{r})
hasta un diámetro expandido o aumentado. La figura 3 es una vista
similar a la figura 2 (a saber, que ilustra la endoprótesis
expandida 10 como aparecería si se partiera longitudinalmente y se
dejara lisa). Puesto que la figura 3 es una representación
bidimensional, no se muestra el diámetro aumentado. Sin embargo se
muestra la circunferencia agrandada C_{e}, así como una longitud
L_{e} tras la expansión. El diámetro expandido es igual a
C_{e}/\pi.
Tal como se discutirá, preferentemente la
longitud L_{e} no es sino escasamente menor (por ejemplo menos
del 10% más pequeña) que la longitud L_{r}. En el caso ideal,
L_{e} es igual a L_{r}.
El material de la endoprótesis 10 define una
pluralidad de celdas 12. Las celdas 12 son áreas limítrofes que
están abiertas (a saber, que se extienden a través del grosor de la
pared de la endoprótesis 10). La endoprótesis 10 puede fabricarse
por cualquier medio adecuado, incluyendo láser o molienda química.
En tales procesos, se muele un cilindro hueco para retirar material
y formar las celdas abiertas 12.
Las celdas 12 tienen un eje mayor o longitudinal
X_{M}-X_{M}, y un eje menor o transversal
X_{m}-X_{m}. En las realizaciones de las
figuras 1-3, el eje mayor
X_{M}-X_{M} es perpendicular al eje cilíndrico
longitudinal X-X de la endoprótesis 10. En las
realizaciones de las figuras 8 y 9, el eje mayor
X_{M}'-X_{M}' es paralelo al eje cilíndrico
longitudinal X'-X' de la endoprótesis 10'. La celda
12 es simétrica en torno a los ejes X_{M}-X_{M}
y X_{m}-X_{m}.
La celda 12 se define mediante porciones de
material tubular que incluyen segmentos longitudinales primero y
segundo o vigas de soporte 14. Las vigas 14 tienen, cada una, un eje
longitudinal X_{a}-X_{a} (mostrado en la figura
6). Los ejes longitudinales X_{a}-X_{a} de las
vigas son paralelos a los lados opuestos del eje mayor
X_{M}-X_{M} de la celda, y están posicionados
sobre estos.
En referencia la figura 6, cada una de las vigas
longitudinales 14 tiene un patrón ondulatorio para definir una
pluralidad de crestas 17, 21, 25 y valles 19, 23. Las crestas 17,
21, 25 están separadas hacia afuera respecto de los ejes
longitudinales X_{a}-X_{a} y los valles 19, 23
están separados hacia dentro respecto de los ejes longitudinales
X_{a}-X_{a}. Tal como se utilizan en este
contexto, "hacia dentro" y "hacia fuera" significan
respectivamente hacia, y alejándose del eje principal
X_{M}-X_{M} de la celda.
Cada una de las crestas 17, 21, 25 y cada uno de
los valles 19, 23 es un segmento arqueado, generalmente
semicircular. Las crestas 17, 21, 25 y los valles 19, 23 están
unidos por segmentos rectos paralelos y separados espacialmente 16,
18, 20, 22, 24 y 26, que se extienden perpendiculares al eje mayor
X_{M}-X_{M}. Hay partes extremas rectas 16, 26
alineadas linealmente, de segmentos opuestos 14, unidas en
posiciones de conexión longitudinal 27 primera y segunda, separadas
espacialmente sobre el eje principal
X_{M}-X_{M}. Las posiciones de conexión
transversal 28 primera y segunda están separadas espacialmente sobre
el eje menor X_{m}-X_{m}. Las posiciones de
conexión transversal 28 primera y segunda, están posicionadas en los
vértices de las crestas centrales 21 de las vigas longitudinales
14.
Hay ranuras 30 formadas a través de todo el
grosor de cada una de las vigas 14. Las ranuras 30 se extienden
entre extremos primeros y segundos 31, 32. Los primeros extremos 31
son adyacentes a las posiciones de conexión longitudinal 27. Los
segundos extremos 32 son adyacentes a las posiciones de conexión
transversal 28. Las ranuras 30 dividen las vigas 14 en elementos
paralelos primeros y segundos 14_{1}, 14_{2}.
Excepto en lo que se describirá, las vigas 14
tienen dimensiones uniformes en sección transversal, a través de
toda su longitud, como se ilustra en la figura 4. A modo de ejemplo
no limitativo, la anchura W y el grosor T de los segmentos en línea
recta 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 y 26, son respectivamente de unas 0,0065
pulgadas (unos 0,16 mm) y unas 0,0057 pulgadas (unos 0,14 mm). La
anchura W incluye las anchuras (de la misma anchura ambas) de los
dos elementos 14_{1}, 14_{2}, mas la anchura W_{s} de la
ranura 30. A modo de ejemplo no limitativo, la anchura W_{s} está
en el rango de 0,001 a 0,00 25 pulgadas (0,0254 a 0,0635 mm). A modo
de otro ejemplo no limitativo, la anchura W_{s} es menor de 0,005
pulgadas (0,0127 mm).
Por razones que serán descritas, la anchura W'
(figura 5) en los vértices de las crestas 17, 21, 25 y de los
valles 19, 23, es más estrecha que la anchura W (en el ejemplo dado,
la anchura estrecha W' es de unas 0,0055 pulgadas, o unos 0,13 mm).
La anchura de las crestas 17, 21, 25 y de los valles 19, 23 se
incrementa gradualmente, desde la anchura W' en los vértices hasta
la anchura W en los segmentos rectos 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 y 26. En
las posiciones de conexión transversales y longitudinales 27, 28, la
anchura W_{c} (mostrada en la figura 2) es preferentemente igual
o menor que la anchura común W. Preferentemente, la anchura W_{s}
de la ranura 30 permanece constante a través de toda su
longitud.
Las longitudes combinadas de los segmentos 16 -
20 hasta el vértice de la cresta 21, representan una longitud de
trayecto 50 desde la posición de conexión longitudinal 27 hasta la
posición de conexión transversal 28. De forma similar, las
longitudes combinadas de otros segmentos arqueados y rectos
22-26 hasta el vértice de la cresta 21, representan
longitudes de trayecto 51 de longitud idéntica, de idéntica
geometría desde las posiciones de conexión longitudinal 27 hasta
las posiciones de conexión transversal 28. Cada una de las
longitudes de trayecto 50, 51 es más larga que una distancia en
línea recta entre las posiciones de conexión transversales y
longitudinales 27, 28. Tal como se describirá, la distancia en línea
recta entre las posiciones de conexión transversal y longitudinal
27, 28, se incrementa según se expande el diámetro de la
endoprótesis 10. Las longitudes de trayecto 50, 51 están
dimensionadas para no ser menores que la distancia expandida en
línea recta.
La endoprótesis 10 incluye una pluralidad de
celdas idénticas 12. Bordes opuestos de los segmentos 14 definen
celdas oblicuamente adyacentes (tales como las celdas 12_{1},
12_{2} en la figura 2). Las celdas 12 que tienen ejes mayores
X_{M}-X_{M} colineales con el eje mayor
X_{M}-X_{M} de la celda 12, están
interconectadas en las posiciones de conexión longitudinal 27. Las
celdas que tienen ejes menores colineales con el eje menor
X_{m}-X_{m} de la celda 12, están
interconectadas en las posiciones de conexión transversal 28.
Como se ha mencionado, la endoprótesis 10 en el
diámetro reducido de la figura 1, es avanzada hasta un punto,
dentro de un lumen. Después la endoprótesis 10 es expandida en ese
punto. La endoprótesis 10 puede ser expandida por cualquier medio
convencional. Por ejemplo, la endoprótesis 10 en diámetro reducido,
puede ser colocada sobre la punta de balón de un catéter. En ese
punto, se expande el balón para generar fuerzas radiales sobre el
interior de la endoprótesis 10. Las fuerzas radiales impulsan a la
endoprótesis 10 a expandirse radialmente, sin expansión o
contracción longitudinales apreciables. La deformación plástica del
material de la endoprótesis 10 (por ejemplo acero inoxidable) tiene
como resultado que la endoprótesis 10 retiene la forma expandida
tras la subsiguiente retirada de presión en el balón.
Alternativamente, la endoprótesis 10 puede estar formada de un
material super-elástico o con memoria de forma, tal
como nitinol - un material bien conocido en endoprótesis, que es
una aleación de níquel y titanio).
Cuando se expande la endoprótesis 10, las
longitudes de trayecto 50, 51 se enderezan para acomodarse a la
expansión. Durante tal cambio en la geometría de las longitudes de
trayecto 50, 51, cada uno de los elementos 14_{1}, 14_{2}
cambia su geometría de forma similar, de forma que en todo momento
los elementos 14_{1}, 14_{2} son paralelos entre sí, y están
separados por la separación 30.
La figura 3 ilustra el enderezamiento de las
longitudes de trayecto 50, 51. En la figura 3 la endoprótesis 10 ha
sido expandida solo parcialmente, hasta un diámetro expandido menor
que un diámetro expandido mínimo. En un tamaño expandido máximo,
las longitudes de trayecto 50, 51 son completamente rectas. La
expansión adicional de la endoprótesis 10 más allá del tamaño
expandido máximo, tendría como resultado el estrechamiento del eje
menor X_{m}-X_{m} (esto es, un estrechamiento de
la separación entre las posiciones de conexión transversal, y un
estrechamiento resultante de la longitud L_{r} de la
endoprótesis), o necesitaría el estiramiento y adelgazamiento del
material de endoprótesis.
Como se muestra en la figura 3, durante la
expansión de la endoprótesis 10 los elementos rectos 16, 18, 20,
22, 24 y 26 permanecen sustancialmente inalterados. El
enderezamiento de las longitudes de trayecto 50, 51 tiene como
resultado la curvatura de las crestas arqueadas 17, 21, 25 y de los
valles 19, 23. Puesto que la anchura W' de las crestas 17, 21, 25 y
de los valles 19, 23 es menor que la anchura W de los segmentos
rectos 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 y 26, las crestas arqueadas 17, 21, 25 y
los valles 19, 23 arqueados son menos duros que los segmentos
rectos 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 y 26, y por lo tanto se deformarán con
mayor probabilidad, durante la expansión.
Puesto que la geometría de las vigas 14 cambia
durante la expansión, la geometría de los elementos primero y
segundo 14_{1}, 14_{2} cambia similarmente, de modo que los
elementos 14_{1}, 14_{2} permanecen en una relación paralela
entre sí, tanto antes como después de la expansión. Tal como se
utiliza en esta aplicación, el término "paralelos entre sí"
significa que la separación 30 entre los elementos 14_{1},
14_{2} es sustancialmente constante a través de toda la longitud
de los elementos 14_{1}, 14_{2}. Los elementos 14_{1},
14_{2} y la viga 14 pueden ser curvos o rectos, a través de sus
longitudes.
Cuando la endoprótesis 10 se expande, las celdas
12 asumen una forma de rombo mostrada en la figura 3. Puesto que
las fuerzas de expansión son radiales, se incrementa la longitud del
eje mayor X_{M}-X_{M} (es decir, la distancia
entre las posiciones de conexión longitudinal 27). La longitud del
eje menor X_{m}-X_{m} (y por lo tanto la
longitud de la endoprótesis 10) permanece inalterada.
La endoprótesis 10 es extremadamente flexible.
Al objeto de avanzar hasta un punto, los ejes X-X de
la endoprótesis 10 deben curvarse para navegar a través de un lumen
curvo. Además, para la colocación en un sitio curvo en un lumen, la
endoprótesis 10 debe ser lo suficientemente flexible como para
retener una forma curva después de la expansión, y como para
curvarse cuando el lumen se curve con el tiempo. La endoprótesis 10,
tal como se ha descrito arriba, consigue estos objetivos.
Cuando se curva sobre su eje
X-X, la endoprótesis 10 tiende a comprimirse
axialmente sobre el lado interno de la curva, y a expandirse
axialmente sobre el lado externo de la curva. El presente diseño
permite tales expansión y contracción axiales. La nueva geometría
de celda 12 tiene como resultado una estructura de tipo acordeón,
que es altamente flexible antes y después de la expansión radial.
Además, la forma de rombo de las celdas 12 tras la expansión
radial, resiste las fuerzas de estrechamiento que tienen a colapsar
la endoprótesis 10.
La estructura doble de soporte de los elementos
separados por las ranuras, incrementa la flexibilidad sin reducir
la resistencia a las fuerzas de compresión. Además, durante la
expansión y durante la flexión de la endoprótesis sobre su eje, el
uso de elementos paralelos, separados 14_{1}, 14_{2}, tiene como
resultado niveles menores de tensión que los que se experimentaría
mediante una viga sólida.
Son posibles numerosas modificaciones. Por
ejemplo, la endoprótesis 10 puede estar alineada con un manguito
bien interno o externo (tal como un tejido de poliéster o ePTFE)
para el crecimiento de tejido. Además, la endoprótesis puede
cubrirse con revestimientos radio-opacos tales como
platino, oro, tungsteno o tantalio. Adicionalmente a los materiales
descritos previamente, la endoprótesis puede fabricarse de
cualquiera entre una amplia variedad de materiales conocidos
previamente, incluyendo pero no limitándose a MP35N, tantalio,
platino, oro, Elgiloy y Phynox.
Si bien se muestra tres celdas 12 en la figura
2, conectadas longitudinalmente rodeando la circunferencia C_{r}
de la endoprótesis, podría conectarse igualmente un número
diferente, para variar las propiedades de la endoprótesis 10 a
elección del diseñador. Análogamente, si bien cada columna de las
celdas 12 en la figura 2 se muestra con tres celdas 12 conectadas
longitudinalmente, el número de celdas 12 conectadas
longitudinalmente podría variar para ajustar las propiedades de la
endoprótesis. Además, si bien cada segmento longitudinal 14 se
muestra teniendo tres crestas 17, 21, 25 por cada segmento
longitudinal 14, el número de crestas puede variar. La figura 7
ilustra una endoprótesis 10'', con una celda 12'' que tiene cinco
crestas 117'', 17'', 21'', 25'' y 125'' por cada segmento
longitudinal 14''. Preferentemente, el segmento longitudinal tendrá
un número impar de crestas, de forma que los puntos de conexión
transversal estén en un vértice de una cresta central. En la figura
7 no se muestra ranuras en las vigas 14'', por sencillez en
la
ilustración.

Las figuras 8 y el 9 ilustran una realización
alternativa, en la que el eje mayor
X_{M}'-X_{M}' de las 12' es paralelo al eje
cilíndrico X'-X' de la endoprótesis 10'. En la
figura 9, la endoprótesis expandida 10' se muestra en un estado
casi completamente expandido, donde las longitudes de trayecto 50',
51' son sustancialmente lineales. En las figuras 8 y 9 no se
muestra ranuras en las vigas 14', por sencillez en la
ilustración.
Las figuras 10 y 12 ilustran diseños de
endoprótesis del arte previo. La figura 10 es una endoprótesis 10a
como la mostrada en la patente de EE.UU. número 5 449 373, de
Pinchasik et al., y la figura 12 es una endoprótesis 10b
como la mostrada en la patente de EE.UU. número 5 695 516, de
Fischell. La endoprótesis 10a se muestra plana, como si se hubiera
partido longitudinalmente en las posiciones Aa - Aa_{1} hasta Pa -
Pa_{1}. Análogamente, la endoprótesis 10b se muestra plana como
si se hubiera partido longitudinalmente en las posiciones Ab -
Ab_{1} hasta Eb - Eb_{1}.
Los diseños tanto de la figura 10 como de la
figura 12 incluyen vigas de estructura sólida 14a, 14b. Las vigas
14a se curvan cuando la endoprótesis 10a está en un estado de
diámetro reducido. Las vigas 14a cooperan para definir celdas 12a.
Las vigas curvas 14a se enderezan cuando la endoprótesis 10a se
expande. Las vigas 14b son rectas y cooperan para definir una celda
12b con forma de mariposa. Tras la expansión, las vigas 14b
permanecen rectas, pero pivotan para que la celda 12b asuma forma
de hexágono tras la expansión.
El aspecto de estructura de soporte doble de la
presente invención, es aplicable a endoprótesis del arte previo
tales como los mostrados en las figuras 10 y 12. Las figuras 11 y 13
muestran respectivamente las endoprótesis del arte previo de las
figuras 10 y 11, modificadas de acuerdo con un aspecto de estructura
de soporte doble de la presente invención. Específicamente, las
vigas 14a', 14b' están provistas con ranuras 30a, 30b para dividir
las vigas en elementos primero y segundo 14a_{1}', 14a_{2}' y
14b_{1}', 14b_{2}' paralelos, separados, que tienen los
beneficios descritos previamente.
Claims (17)
1. Una endoprótesis intraluminal que comprende:
un tubo reticular que tiene un diámetro no desplegado y un diámetro
aumentado, caracterizado porque el tubo comprende una viga
estructural (14) que se extiende entre un primer extremo del tubo y
un segundo extremo del tubo, e incluye:
- a)
- elementos longitudinales primero y segundo (22, 24), cada elemento extendiéndose al menos parcialmente entre los extremos primero y segundo del tubo, y
- b)
- una ranura (30) entre los elementos longitudinales primero y segundo, formada a través de todo el grosor de la viga, donde la anchura de la ranura permanece sustancialmente inalterada cuando el tubo se expande desde el diámetro no desplegado hasta el diámetro expandido, y donde la viga estructural cambia de una primera geometría a una segunda geometría, cuando el tubo cambia desde el diámetro no desplegado al diámetro aumentado.
2. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 1, que comprende además una pluralidad de celdas
(12).
3. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 2, en la que las celdas (12) son idénticas.
4. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 1, en la que la ranura (30) tiene un primer extremo y
un segundo extremo.
5. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 1, en la que la viga (14) consta de una pluralidad de
celdas (30).
6. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 1, en la que la viga (14) tiene dimensiones uniformes
de sección transversal, en toda su longitud.
7. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 1, en la que la viga (14) tiene una dimensión de
sección transversal no uniforme, a través de una parte de su
longitud.
8. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 1, en la que la viga (14) tiene un patrón
ondulatorio.
9. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 8, en la que el patrón ondulatorio define una
pluralidad de crestas (17, 21, 25) y valles (19, 23).
10. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 9, en la que cada una de las crestas (17, 21, 25) y
cada uno de los valles (19, 23), es un segmento semicircular
arqueado.
11. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 9, en la que cada una de las crestas (17, 21, 25) y
cada uno de los valles (19, 23), está separado mediante segmentos
rectos paralelos (18, 20, 22, 24, 26).
12. La endoprótesis intraluminal la
reivindicación 10, en la que los segmentos paralelos (18, 20, 22,
24, 26) permanecen paralelos cuando la endoprótesis se expande
desde el diámetro no desplegado hasta el diámetro expandido.
13. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 10, en la que los segmentos arqueados semicirculares
(17, 21, 25, 19, 23) de las crestas y los valles, se curvan cuando
la endoprótesis se expande desde el diámetro no desplegado al
diámetro expandido.
14. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 3, en la que las celdas (12) asumen una forma de
rombo cuando la endoprótesis se expande desde el diámetro no
desplegado al diámetro expandido.
15. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 1, en la que la endoprótesis es una endoprótesis
expansible por balón.
16. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 1, donde la endoprótesis está fabricada de un
material con memoria de forma.
17. La endoprótesis intraluminal de la
reivindicación 16, en la que el material con memoria de forma es
nitinol.
