Definitions

  • the invention relates to a sewing machine for producing lockstitch seams, which is provided with a needle bar for receiving a needle guiding an upper thread, and has a rotary hook in which a bobbin case with a bobbin guiding a lower thread and with a bobbin case changing device is provided by means of which can be removed from a magazine in which a large number of bobbin capsules can be arranged, and this bobbin capsule can be inserted into the rotary gripper
  • Sewing machines form seams using an oscillating needle that moves an upper thread.
  • the needle guides an upper thread, which is intertwined with a thread supply arranged on a bobbin for a lower thread for the double lockstitch seam.
  • the bobbin is located in a rotating hook which rotates relative to the bobbin and detects the upper thread with each stitch of the needle into the material and engages it with the lower thread.
  • the bobbin is usually located in a bobbin case, which is inserted together with the bobbin into the rotary hook of the lockstitch sewing machine and, after being emptied, is removed together with its bobbin case and replaced with a filled bobbin.
  • Such exchanges of an empty bobbin for a full bobbin must be carried out relatively frequently, since conventional bobbins have only a small thread take-up capacity. Therefore, bobbin case changing device has already become known, by means of which bobbin cases with empty bobbins can be exchanged automatically with bobbin cases with full bobbin cases in the circulating gripper.
  • the bobbin capsules, in which bobbins filled with a thread are arranged, can be arranged in a magazine.
  • Such magazines go for example from the DE 10 2010 003 182 B4 forth.
  • an endless chain conveyor is disclosed, on which several receptacles for bobbin cases are arranged along the chain.
  • the exchange process and the removal of a bobbin case from the chain conveyor is carried out by a pulling and Pushing process carried out by means of a lever.
  • a lockstitch embroidery machine previously known, which can also be designed as a sewing machine, and is formed with an upper thread and a lower thread system.
  • the machine is also equipped with a changing device and a magazine for several grippers, lower thread bobbins and bobbin cases, with which these can be inserted and removed alternately into the lower thread system of the machine.
  • the changing device and the magazine are fastened together with sliding blocks on longitudinal grooves of a hollow profile strut.
  • the same disadvantage as with the DE 10 2010 003 182 B4 is therefore also with the DE 10 2006 045 061 A1 expected. This can also be used for those from the WO 2005/108666 A1 Known bobbin changing device for a lockstitch sewing machine can be assumed.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of improving the functional reliability of sewing machines with bobbin case changing devices of the type mentioned at the outset.
  • the bobbin case changing device is fastened to the same machine frame upper part of the sewing machine to which the rotary hook with its carrier is also fastened. Since, in known bobbin case changers, their components and / or the rotary gripper are attached to different frame parts of the sewing machines, the slightest relative movements or changes in the alignment between the sewing machine frame and the attachment point of the bobbin case change device can impair the functional reliability of the bobbin case change device in the prior art. Even temperature fluctuations can lead to such impairments.
  • the bobbin case changer in particular its gripping means and its Magazine to be arranged on the machine frame upper part of the sewing machine, on which the rotary hook with its carrier is also attached.
  • This ensures that, for example, thermally induced expansions or contractions of the machine frame affect all components of the changer and also of the rotary gripper in the same way, as a result of which the distances between the components mentioned do not change, or at most only insignificantly. Functional reliability can thus also be ensured without readjustment of an orientation of the bobbin case changing device with respect to the rotary gripper.
  • the bobbin case changing device has a pivotable gripping means with which a bobbin case in each case from a bobbin case magazine to the gripper of the Sewing machine can be transferred and used.
  • a pivotable gripping means with which a bobbin case in each case from a bobbin case magazine to the gripper of the Sewing machine can be transferred and used.
  • a further preferred embodiment of the invention can provide that the bobbin case changing device is provided with a bobbin case magazine which is rotatable about an axis of rotation and which has several receptacles, preferably more than two receptacles, for each bobbin case distributed around the axis of rotation.
  • This preferred measure according to the invention can also contribute to the fact that the bobbin case changing device according to the invention is designed to be particularly compact and that changing processes can be carried out particularly quickly and safely.
  • FIG. 1 only an excerpt from the illustration shows an example of a sewing machine 1 designed as a lockstitch sewing machine, the housing 2 of which has a lower housing-shaped base plate, from which a stand 3 extends essentially vertically upwards. An arm adjoins an upper end of the stand and runs approximately parallel to the base plate 2.
  • the sewing machine has an arm shaft mounted in the arm, which, like the other basic components of the sewing machine mentioned below, in FIG Fig. 1 are not shown or only partially or in a highly schematic manner.
  • the arm shaft drives an oscillating needle bar that can be moved up and down, on the needle holder of which a needle for receiving an upper thread (not shown) can be attached.
  • a gripper device 3 Arranged in the base plate 2 is a gripper device 3 with a rotary gripper, the rotational movement of which is synchronized with the oscillating movement of the needle bar.
  • a lower thread is located on a bobbin, which is arranged in a multi-part bobbin case.
  • the looper device 3 with its circulating looper guides the upper thread guided by the needle around the bobbin case 4 in a manner known per se, so that it can form a seam together with the lower thread.
  • the needle bar and the gripper device are driven by a common drive, namely a servo-electric motor, not shown in detail, whose rotary drive movement to the needle bar and to the gripper device 3 is picked up by a machine main shaft and translated in a certain ratio.
  • sewing machines can also be provided which are designed differently from this, for example in that the needle bar and rotary hook are driven differently than by a common main shaft.
  • the sewing machine also has a feed device, not shown, with a needle and / or top feed device. Accordingly, the material slide, which is also driven by the main machine shaft via a corresponding gear mechanism, is provided with a tap hole for the needle to pass through.
  • the Figures 1-8 show a representation of the assembly of the gripper device 3 arranged in the base plate 2, which is located in the base plate immediately below a needle plate.
  • the gripper device 3 has the circulating gripper 3 which rotates in a vertical plane and which is intended to receive the bobbin holding a thread supply together with its bobbin case in a manner known per se.
  • Fig. 1 the rotary gripper is shown without bobbin and bobbin case.
  • a bobbin with the bobbin of thread is arranged in the rotary hook 5.
  • the bobbin 11 is located in a bobbin case 4 and can be arranged in the bobbin case and inserted into the rotary gripper 5 and removed from the rotary gripper 5.
  • FIG. 1-8 A preferred embodiment of a bobbin case changing device 8 according to the invention is also shown.
  • This has a magazine designed as a revolver magazine 9 for the arrangement of a plurality of bobbin cases 4.
  • the disk-shaped magazine 9 can be rotated about an axis of rotation, the drive movement for the rotary movement being generated by means of an electric motor 10.
  • the electric motor 10 provided for this purpose is located behind the revolver magazine 9, the axis of rotation of the electric motor 10 being aligned with the axis of rotation of the revolver magazine 9.
  • receptacles 12 are provided on an upper side of the disk-shaped magazine 9, on each of which a bobbin case 4 can be arranged.
  • the revolver magazine 9 has a total of 9 recordings.
  • the receptacles 12 are matched to the bobbin cases 4 in such a way that the bobbin cases can only be arranged in a certain rotational position with respect to the pin-like receptacle 12 and are secured against rotational movements on the receptacle 12.
  • the bobbin case changing device 8 also has a first sensor 14 arranged in the region of the turret magazine, by means of which the reaching of a bobbin case can be determined at a predetermined transfer or changing position.
  • the transfer or exchange position is always the same rotational position at which one of the coil capsules 4 is moved by a handling gripper Bobbin capsule changing device 8 is added and removed from the magazine 9.
  • a second sensor 15 arranged in the area of the transfer or change position, it can be determined whether a bobbin case 4 is also arranged in the receptacle 12 in the transfer or change position.
  • Signals from the sensors 14, 15 can be made available to a controller of the sewing machine and, based on these signals, the electric motor 10 can be controlled by the controller.
  • the revolver magazine can in particular be stopped in the transfer position when a bobbin case is reached.
  • the bobbin case changing device 8 is further provided with a swivel arm 18 which is pivotally mounted at one of its ends about a swivel axis 18a. To carry out the pivoting movements in one of the two pivoting directions, the pivoting arm 18a is operatively connected to a motor 19, in particular an electric motor. The motor 19 of the swivel arm 18 is also controlled by the control of the sewing machine.
  • Both the swivel arm 18 with its motor drive and the magazine 9 with its motor drive are jointly attached to a carrier part 24 and are held by the latter.
  • the carrier part 24 is in turn attached to the housing 2 of the sewing machine, the sewing machine upper part, below a base plate of the sewing machine.
  • the carrier part is attached to the sewing machine upper part by several screws.
  • the gripper device with the rotary hook 5 is also attached and arranged.
  • the sewing machine upper part is opened and thereby arranged in a maintenance position.
  • the swivel arm 18 is provided at its free end with a handling gripper 20 for bobbin cases.
  • the handling gripper 20 is arranged on a carrier 21, which in turn is attached to the swivel arm 18.
  • the carrier 21 can be moved in a straight line relative to the swivel arm 18 in a direction parallel to the swivel axis 18a.
  • the handling gripper 20 can be moved in the direction of the revolver magazine 9 and withdrawn again, provided that it is arranged by the swivel arm 18 in front of the revolver magazine 9.
  • the handling gripper 20 can be placed in front of the circulation gripper 5 of the sewing machine, provided that the handling gripper is placed in front of the circulation gripper 5 by means of the swivel arm.
  • bobbin cases 4 with the bobbin arranged therein can be removed from the magazine 9 and transferred to the circulation gripper 5 by a pivoting movement of the swivel arm 18 and a delivery movement.
  • the one in the Fig. 9 and 10th Handling gripper 20, shown in more detail, has a gripper receptacle 22 for arranging a bobbin case 4 on the rotary gripper 5, the geometrical shape of which is adapted to the geometric shape of the bobbin case 4.
  • the gripper 20 here has a counter surface which corresponds in particular to the outer shape of the outer surface area of the coil capsule in the transition from its closed end face to the circumference of the coil capsule 4.
  • the receptacle 22 has a parabolic counter surface 23, against which a portion of the peripheral region of the closed end face of the bobbin case 4 can be brought into contact at least essentially in a form-fitting manner. Except for its rotational position in relation to a longitudinal axis of the bobbin case 4, the bobbin case 4 is thus clearly positioned in all three spatial directions in the handling gripper.
  • the handling gripper 20 also has a bobbin case holding finger 25, which has a contact surface 26 which is inclined with respect to the orientation of the longitudinal axis of the bobbin case 4 in the handling gripper 20 and a tapered free end 27.
  • the bobbin case holding finger 25 can be displaced relative to the gripper seat 22 and transversely to the longitudinal axis of the bobbin case 4. This movement is driven and determined by the control. During this movement and because of the clear only possible rotational orientation of the bobbin case 4 in the handling gripper 20, the tip of the free end 27 of the bobbin case holding finger 25 passes between a bobbin case flap 28 and the top of the closed end face of the bobbin case 4.
  • the latter pivots the bobbin case flap 28 pivotably articulated on the bobbin case 4 against a counter bevel 29 of the gripper receptacle 22.
  • the bobbin case flap 28 is pressed into a groove 30 of the counter bevel 19 along a substantial part of its longitudinal extent.
  • the bobbin case holding finger 25 lies on the side of the bobbin case flap 28 facing away from the groove 30 and holds the bobbin case flap 28 in the groove.
  • a width of the groove 30 corresponds approximately to the width of the bobbin case flap 28.
  • the bobbin case flap 28 is thus held in this state in the groove 30 and in the handling gripper 20 in a form-fitting manner, in particular in a passive form-fitting manner.
  • the bobbin case 4 is thereby clearly positioned in the handling gripper 20 both in its spatial and in its rotational position.
  • the handling gripper 20 is also able to release the bobbin case flap 28 and thus also the bobbin case 4 as a whole by withdrawing the bobbin case holding finger 25. This can be used to insert and arrange a bobbin case 4 in the rotary gripper 5 or - if there should be a need for this - in a receptacle of the magazine 9.
  • the sewing machine is also provided with a sensor 32 known per se for the detection of residual thread, i.e. a sensor with which it can be determined whether and when the lower thread bobbin has reached a certain degree of emptying and thus only a certain amount of residual thread on the bobbin located.
  • the sensor 32 for detecting residual thread on the bobbin sends a signal representing this detection result to the sewing machine control, which then initiates a bobbin exchange based on the detection of a remaining thread quantity as a remaining thread supply, but at least signals the operator of the need to replace the bobbin.
  • the control should not interrupt the completion of the seam that is currently sewn when the remaining thread quantity is reached. This ensures that the currently sewn material does not become a waste.
  • the control triggers the exchange.
  • the last sewing process must be ended and the needle must be arranged outside the rotary hook 5.
  • the swivel arm 18 from its in Fig. 1 Stand-by position shown pivoted into its first swivel end position in front of the rotary gripper.
  • the gripper 20 is in a position in which the longitudinal axis of the bobbin case 4 in the rotary gripper 5 is aligned with the course of the longitudinal axis of the bobbin case in the handling gripper 20, provided that a bobbin case 4 was already arranged in the handling gripper 20 at this time.
  • the carrier 21 is moved to the latter with the position of the swivel arm 18 unchanged along or parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bobbin case 4, so that the holder of the handling gripper 20 is located directly above the bobbin case 4.
  • the bobbin case holding finger 25, as in the Fig. 9 and 10th shown moved towards the bobbin case flap 28 and pressed against the bobbin case counter surface 29 and into the groove 30.
  • the bobbin case 4 is thus held in the handling gripper 20.
  • the carrier 21 back towards the swivel arm 18 the bobbin case 4 with the almost empty bobbin can be removed from the rotary gripper 5.
  • the swivel arm 18 is then moved in the direction of the magazine 9.
  • the bobbin case holding finger 25 is withdrawn.
  • the spring-loaded bobbin case flap 28 is hereby released and thereby pivots towards the closed end face of the bobbin case 4 and comes into contact with this end face.
  • the almost empty bobbin case 4 can thus fall out of the handling gripper 20 in a predetermined manner.
  • the bobbin case holding finger 25 is preferably withdrawn at a point at which the handling gripper 20 is located above a container into which the bobbin case 4 with the almost empty bobbin can fall.
  • the pivoting movement of the pivot arm 18 is stopped as soon as the pivot arm 18 has reached its second end position, which is located opposite the magazine 9 ( Fig. 1 ).
  • the handling gripper 20 is arranged opposite a changing position of the magazine 9, into which the magazine rotates one of the respective receptacles 12, so that one arranged in this receptacle 12 Bobbin case 4 together with its bobbin, each filled with bobbin thread, can be removed by the handling gripper 20. It is determined by means of the second sensor 15 whether there is also a bobbin case 4 in the respective receptacle.
  • the first sensor 14 is used to determine whether the respective bobbin case 4 is in the intended change position.
  • the handling gripper 20 is also arranged here by means of the swivel arm 18 in such a way that the gripper 20, after taking its second swivel end position, is then guided only by a parallel displacement of the carrier 21 relative to the swivel arm 18 via the bobbin case arranged in the changing position of the magazine 9 must be arranged in the receptacle 22 of the gripper 20 ( Fig. 2 ). After the handling gripper 20 has gripped the bobbin case 4 in the change position in this way ( Fig.
  • the bobbin case flap 28 is introduced by means of the bobbin case holding finger 25 in the manner already described above against the counter-bevel 29 of the receptacle 22 and into the groove 30 arranged there, whereby the bobbin case 4 is held and gripped in the predetermined orientation on the handling gripper 20 is ( Fig. 10 ).
  • the carrier 21 can then be withdrawn again ( Fig. 4 ) and the swivel arm 18 are positioned in its first end position in front of the rotary gripper 5 ( Fig. 5 ).
  • the handling gripper 20 with the bobbin case 4 inserted therein is then fed to the rotary gripper 5 and inserted therein ( Fig. 6 ).
  • the bobbin case 4 is released from the handling gripper 20 and fixed in the rotary gripper 5 ( Fig. 7 ).
