Description
- Die Erfindung betrifft Maßnahmen zur Behandlung und Veredelung von Leder. Insbesondere betrifft sie ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Lederschrumpf umfassend die folgenden Schritte a) Waschen zumindest eines Chrom-gegerbten Fells (Chromwetblue) in einer Wasch-Lösung, b) Neutralisieren des behandelten Fells in einer Neutralisations-Lösung, c) Vorfettung des Fells, d) Färbung des Fells in einer Färbe-Lösung, e) Fettung durch Zugabe von Fettungsmittelgemisch, f) Fixierung durch Zugabe von Ameisensäure, g) Endtoneinstellung, h) Fixierung, i) Waschen des Fells, j) Trocknen des Fells, k) Auftragen einer Bindermischungs-Lösung, l) Auftragen eines wässrigen Emulsionslack, m) Bügeln und Stollen des Felles, n) Walken des Felles unter kontinuierlicher Feuchtigkeitszufuhr, o) Entfeuchten des Fells, p) Klimatisierung des Fells und weitere Reduktion des Feuchtigkeitsgehalts und q) Auftragen einer Fixierungs-Lösung.
- Leder mit künstlich gezogenem Narben, sogenanntes Schrumpfleder, findet seit vielen Jahren Einsatz in der Schuh - und Taschenindustrie. Eine Übersicht über die Herstellung von verschiedenen Lederarten ist beschrieben in "Handbuch der Gerbereichemie und Lederfabrikation", 2. Aufl., 1955, Springer Verlag.
- Handelsübliche Leder weisen Oberflächen mit stark variierenden Musterungen auf und können glatterer oder erhabenerer Struktur sein.
- Es gibt zahlreiche Patentschriften, welche das klassische Schrumpfungsverfahren über den Weg des sogenannten Schrumpfens aus dem Blößenzustand bei entsprechenden Vorbehandlungen mit marktüblichen sulfonsäurehaltigen, synthetischen Gerbstoffen beschreiben, beispielsweise in den Offenlegungs- und Patentschriften
DE1150488B ,DE1257353B ,EP0265657A1 ,DE617015A ,DE2843233A1 undDE1053517B . - Als Schrumpfgerbstoffe kommen besonders saure Phenole zur Verwendung, wie Tanigan CLS 50 oder Irgatan LV conc. fl. oder Mimosa und Sumach. Diese Gerbstoffe können zur weiteren Erhöhung der Adstringens mit HCOOH Ameisensäure angeteigt werden um den Effekt des Schrumpfens zu verstärken. Eine Ausnahme ist nur das Glutardialdehyd, welcher nicht mit Säure adstringenter gemacht wird, sondern wo die Blöße alkalisch eingestellt sein muss, um einen intensiven Schrumpf zu erfahren.
- Nach wie vor besteht ein Nachteil bisher üblicher Verfahren in der Unregelmäßigkeit des Schrumpfkorns a) in der Fläche eines einzigen Fells gesehen und b) im Vergleich von Fellen innerhalb einer Partie (Charge). Das ist zumeist der unterschiedliche Struktur innerhalb der Haut, aber auch dem Umstand der schwierigen Dickeneinstellung im Stadium der Blöße geschuldet.
- Es besteht insbesondere ein hoher Bedarf an hochwertigen Kalbschrumpfleder im Dickenbereich 2,1-2,6 mm. Daher wäre es wünschenswert, bei gleichzeitiger Erzielung einer hohen Verschnittquote bzw. Fächenausbeute für den Verarbeiter durch enorme Vergleichmäßigung im Schrumpfbild (Oberflächenstruktur des Leders) gleichzeitig die Ausfall-bzw. Ausschussquote im Fertiglederzustand zu reduzieren.
- Das der Erfindung zugrundeliegende technische Problem kann daher in der Bereitstellung eines effektiven Verfahrens zur Herstellung von Lederschrumpf gesehen werde, dass die zuvor genannten Nachteile des Stands der Technik vermeidet.
- Die Erfindung betrifft somit ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Lederschrumpf umfassend die folgenden Schritte:
- a) Waschen zumindest eines Chrom-gegerbten Fells (Chromwetblue) in einer Wasch-Lösung enthaltend etwa 200% (w/w) Wasser und etwa 0,2% (w/w) eines nicht-ionischen Tensides;
- b) Neutralisieren des behandelten Fells in einer Neutralisations-Lösung enthaltend etwa 100% (w/w) Wasser, etwa 1,5% (w/w) Natriumformiat und etwa 3% (w/w) Natriumbicarbonat;
- c) Vorfettung umfassend die Inkubation des Fells mit etwa 0,5% (w/w) Lösung eines Fettsäureesters, etwa 2% (w/w) Lösung eines Polymergerbstoffes und etwa 20% (w/w) Lösung eines Nachgerbstoffes;
- d) Färbung des Fells in einer Färbe-Lösung umfassend etwa 50% (w/w) Wasser, etwa 1,5% (w/w) Ammoniak und anionischem Farbstoff;
- e) Fettung durch Zugabe von etwa 100% (w/w) Wasser und etwa 4,5% Fettungsmittelgemisch, wobei dieses Fettungsmittelgemisch etwa 45% (w/w) langkettige Paraffine und etwa 55% (w/w) sulfitierte Öle aufweist;
- f) Fixierung durch Zugabe von etwa 3,5% (w/w) Ameisensäure;
- g) Endtoneinstellung durch Überführung des Fells in eine Toner-Lösung umfassend etwa 200% (w/w) Wasser mit anionischem Farbstoff des Typs saurer Substantiv
- h) Fixierung durch Zugabe von etwa 0,5-1,0 %(w/w) Ameisensäure;
- i) Waschen des Fells in etwa 200% (w/w) Wasser;
- j) Trocknen des Fells;
- k) Auftragen einer Bindermischungs-Lösung umfassend Bindergemisch und eine anorganische Pigmentdispersion im Verhältnis 4:1, wobei die Bindermischungs-Lösung etwa 40% (w/w) feinteilige Polyurethandispersion und etwa 30% (w/w) modifizierte Polyurethan/Acrylatcopolymeremulsion aufweist;
- l) Auftragen eines wässrigen Emulsionslacks (Poly urethandispersion)mit etwa 25% (w/w) Wirkstoffgehalt;
- m) Bügeln und Stollen des Felles;
- n) Walken des Felles unter kontinuierlicher Feuchtigkeitszufuhr;
- o) Entfeuchten des Fells bis zu einem Feuchtigkeitsgehalt von etwa 25% (w/w) im Fell;
- p) Klimatisierung des Fells und Reduktion des Feutigkeitsgehalts auf etwa 15% (w/w) oder weniger; und
- q) Auftragen einer Fixierungs-Lösung umfassend eine etwa 30% (w/w) Polyurethandispersion, wobei das Polyurethan 2-Isocyant vernetzt ist und ein Mischungsverhältnis Binder zu Wasser von 3 Teilen :10 Teilen vorliegt, wodurch der Lederschrumpf erhalten wird.
- Die Angaben für Konzentrationen in Gewichtsprozent (w/w) beziehen sich auf das Falzgewicht des zu behandelnden Fells. Unter dem Begriff "etwa" ist zu verstehen, dass die Konzentrationen von dem genannten Wert um +/- 15%, bevorzugt +/- 10% oder bevorzugt +/-5% abweichen können. Besonders bevorzugt entsprechen die Konzentrationen jedoch exakt den genannten Werten. Diese Interpretation gilt für Mengenangaben, Zeitangaben oder Temperaturangaben entsprechend.
- Es versteht sich, dass mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren auch mehr als ein Fell gleichzeitig behandelt werden kann. Dementsprechend ist unter zumindest ein Chromwetblue auch eine Vielzahl an Ledern, d.h. zwei, drei oder mehrere Chromwetblues zu verstehen, die mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren behandelt werden.
- Die Schritte der Feuchtbehandlung, also Schritte a) bis i) werden vorzugsweise in beweglichen Gefäßen und bevorzugt in rotierbaren Gefäßen durchgeführt. Besonders bevorzugt sind hierfür Holzfässer geeignet. Die Felle können für die Durchführung der einzelnen Verfahrensschritte im selben Gefäß belassen werden oder in jeweils ein anderes Gefäß überführt werden.
- Die im Verfahren eingesetzten Trocknungsschritte können unter Verwendung von Vakuumtrocknungstechniken, Hängetrocknung oder Trocknungstunneln durchgeführt werden. Walk- und Ausreck- Behandlungen erfolgen bevorzugt mittels Walzmaschinen.
- Das Auftragen von Bindermischungs-Lösung in Schritt k) und von Fixierungs-Lösung in Schritt q) erfolgt bevorzugt mittels einer Rundläuferspritzmaschine.
- In Schritt k) erfolgt der Auftrag 2 bis 3 Mal wobei die Bindermischungs-Lösung in einer Menge von etwa 10-15 g pro Quadratfuß aufgetragen wird. Anschließend erfolgt bevorzugt eine Verfilmung mittels Durchlauftrockentunnels bei etwa 80°. Die Schritte werden bevorzugt 3 Mal wiederholt.
- In Schritt q) erfolgt bevorzugt ein Auftrag der Fixierungs-Lösung in einer Menge von 10 mg pro Quadratfuß.
- Bügelschritte werden bevorzugt mittels einer Durchlaufbügelmaschine bei etwa 80°C durchgeführt.
- Das Stollen wird bevorzugt mit einer Durchlaufstollmaschine durchgeführt.
- Der Begriff "nicht-ionisches Tensid" bezeichnet ein Tensid, welches keine dissoziierbaren funktionellen Gruppen enthält und sich in wässriger Lösung nicht in Ionen auftrennt. Nichtionische Tenside bestehen generell aus einem unpolaren und einem polaren Teil. Als unpolarer Teil dient meistens ein Fettalkohol (bevorzugte Kettenlänge zwischen C12 und C18) oder Octyl- oder Nonylphenole. Als polare Gruppen kann eine Hydroxygruppe oder eine Ethergruppe dienen, welche beispielsweise in Polyethylenglycol oder Monosacchariden enthalten sind. Ein "nicht-ionisches Tensid" im Sinne der Erfindung ist besonders bevorzugt ein Polyalkylenglycolether (Fettalkoholethoxylate (FAEO), Fettalkoholpropoxylate (FAPO), Alkylglucoside, Alkylpolyglucoside (APG), Oktylphenolethoxylate oder Nonylphenolethoxylate.
- Als "Polymergerbstoff" im Sinne der Erfindung wird ein Gerbstoff bezeichnet, der aus Makromolekülen, sogenannten konstitutionellen Repetiereinheiten oder Wiederholeinheiten, besteht. Als Grundkörper für gerbwirksame, künstlich hergestellte, Polymere können beispielsweise Acrylate und Polyurethane dienen. Als reaktive Gruppen können Aldehyde, Isocyanate, Isothiocyanate und Succinimidester verwendet werden. Bevorzugt besteht ein Polymergerbstoff im Sinne der Erfindung aus einem Kondensat von aliphatischen Aldehyden und einer oder mehreren Verbindungen aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Harnstoff, Dicyandiamid, Melamin und Guanidin, besonders bevorzugt aus einem Kondensationsprodukt aus Dicyandiamid und Formaldehyd.
- Unter Nachgerbung versteht man die Nachbehandlung von vorgegerbtem, oft chromgegerbtem Leder. Die Nachgerbung dient bevorzugt der Betonung besonderer Merkmale der Lederart, beispielsweise der Optimierung von Farbe, Narbenfeinheit, Narbenfestigkeit, Weichheit, Fülle, Formhaltevermögen, Gewicht des Leders, Verhalten gegen Wasser (Hydrophobie) oder der Fixierung von Gerbstoffen. Als Nachgerbstoffe können synthetische oder natürliche Stoffe dienen, beispielsweise mineralische Gerbstoffe wie Chrom, Aluminium oder Zirkonium, synthetische Nachgerbstoffe wie Naphthalin-Phenol-Kondensate, Fette oder Aldehyde. Ein "Nachgerbstoff" im Sinne der Erfindung ist bevorzugt ein synthetischer Nachgerbstoff, beispielsweise ein Naphthalin-Phenol-Kondenstationsprodukt.
- Als Anionische Farbstoffe, auch Säurefarbstoffe genannt, werden Farbstoffe bezeichnet, die einen oder mehreren Säurereste, meist Sulfonsäurereste, aufweisen und aus wässrigem Medium direkt auf die Faser aufziehen. Anionische Farbstoffe werden bevorzugt zum Färben von Polyamidfasern und Wolle benutzt, auf denen sie mit der Aminogruppe elektrovalente Bindungen eingehen. Anionische Farbstoffe besitzen typischerweise eine Azo-, Nitro- oder Anthrachinonchromophore. Vertreter der anionischen Farbstoffe sind beispielsweise Naphtholgelb S und die Patentblau-Farbstoffe. Ein "anionischer Farbstoff" im Sinne der Erfindung ist bevorzugt ein anionischer Farbstoff des Typs saurer Substantivfarbstoff, besonders bevorzugt Kongorot oder Benzopurpurin.
- Eine "feinteilige Polyurethan Dispersion" ist bevorzugt ein fließfähiges Zweiphasensystem, bestehend aus Wasser und einem Polymer, d.h. einem dispergierten Kunststoff, der zu der Klasse der Polyurethane gehört, beispielsweise Isocyanate, Polyole und Polyamine, sowie gegebenenfalls weiteren Komponenten. Die Polyurethanteilchen liegen typischerweise in einer stabilen Dispersion vor und sind kugelförmig Gebilde in einem Größenbereich zwischen etwa 30 nm und 1000 nm wodurch sie ein milchig weißes Aussehen der Dispersion bewirkt wird. Die Größenverteilung kann sowohl ein Maximum (monomodal) als auch zwei Maxima (bimodal) aufweisen. Unterhalb 50 nm Teilchengröße erscheint die Dispersion zunehmend transparent, oberhalb 1000 nm neigen die Teilchen zum Absetzen. Der Gewichtsanteil des Polyurethanfeststoffs in der Dispersion beträgt üblicherweise zwischen 30% bis 60%. Als Maß für die Feinteiligkeit einer Dispersion kann der sogenannte LD-Wert (Lichtdurchlässigkeitswert der Dispersion) dienen. Der LD-Wert wird bevorzugt gemessen, indem man die Dispersion in 0,01%iger (w/w) wäßriger Lösung in einer Küvette einer Kantenlänge von 2,5 cm mit Licht der Wellenlänge 546 nm vermißt und mit der Durchlässigkeit von Wasser unter den vorstehend genannten Bedingungen vergleicht. Die Durchlässigkeit von Wasser wird dabei mit 100 % angegeben. Je feinteiliger die Dispersion ist, desto höher ist der LD-Wert, der nach der oben beschriebenen Methode gemessen wird. Als bevorzugt ist eine Polyurethandispersion mit einem LD-Wert größer oder gleich 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 85%, 90% oder 95% anzusehen. Besonders bevorzugt ist eine 2-Ioscyanat vernetzte, wässrige, feinteilige Polyurethandispersion mit etwa 30% Wirkstoffgehalt. Bevorzugte feinteilige Dispersionen sind auch offenbart in den Offenlegungsschriften
EP 0 257 412 A1 ,WO 2010/139654 A2 . - Eine "modifizierte Polyurethan/Acrylatcopolymer Emulsion" im Sinne der Erfindung ist bevorzugt eine Emulsion aus einem Polyurethan- Acrylat-Copolymer, das chemische Modifikationen aufweist. Wenn in diesem Zusammenhang ein Copolymer als Acrylat Copolymer bezeichnet wird, so sollen hierunter Copolymere verstanden werden, die aus Acrylsäure oder deren Derivaten copolymerisiert wurden. Umfasst vom Begriff Acrylat im Sinne der Erfindung sind auch Acrylamide, Acrylester wie Acrylacetate etc, aber auch Copolymere, in denen das Acrylat das überwiegend vorhandene Polymer ist. Erfindungsgemäß kommen als modifizierte Copolymere vor allem Copolymere in Betracht, die von Acrylsäure oder Methacrylsäure und deren Derivaten, wie Amiden und Estern, insbesondere Acrylsäure, Acrylamiden und Acrylestern abgeleitet sind. Sie können ggf. basische Comonomere, wie primäre, sekundäre, tertiäre oder quarternäre Aminosubstituenten, z.B. Quarternisierungsprodukte von Dimethylaminoethylmethacrylat- oder Diallyldimethylammoniumacrylsäure-Anteilen; hydrophobe Substituenten, wie langkettige Alkylgruppen mit 10 bis 30, bevorzugt 12 bis 24 C-Atomen, saure Substituenten, wie Sulfonat-, Phosphat- und Carboxylgruppen oder hydroxylgruppenhaltige Anteile, wie Vinylalkohol, aufweisen. Auch Copolymere aus Vinylpyrrolidon/Acrylat oder Dialkylaminoalkylmethacrylat sind geeignet. Zu den Polyurethanen werden auch Polyurethanpolyvinylpyrrolidone, Polyester-Polyurethane, Polyether-Polyurethane sowie Polyharnstoffe gezählt. Das Polyurethan kann beispielsweise ein aliphatisches, cycloaliphatisches oder aromatisches Polyurethan-, Polyharnstoff/urethan oder Polyharnstoffcopolymer sein. Polyurethane können weiterhin aus Polyestern, die gradkettig oder verzweigt sind, oder Alkydverbindungen, die mobilen Wasserstoff aufweisen, hergestellt.
- Nachfolgend ist ein bevorzugtes Verfahren im Sinne der Erfindung ausführlich beschrieben.
- Bevorzugt wird hierbei ein sogenanntes Chromwetblue (gegerbtes Zwischenprodukt mit einem Chromoxidgehalt vom mindestens 1,5%) eingesetzt. Bei der Chromgerbung zur Herstellung der Chromwetblues werden typischerweise Chrom (III)-Salze (Chromhydroxid) eingesetzt. Entsprechende Verfahren sind im Stand der Technik bekannt.
- Dieses Ausgangsstadium sogenanntes Wetblue ermöglicht im Vergleich zum Blößenverfahren eine genauere Dicken- und Feuchtigkeitseinstellung innerhalb der Haut. Die anschließende Veredlung bedingt eine hohe Genauigkeit in der Prozessführung und ist maßgeblich mitverantwortlich für die Ausformung des gewünschten Schrumpfkorns bzw. Narbenbildes (Lederoberfläche).
- Dazu werden in rotierenden Gefäßen bei 12 Umdrehungen pro Minute (U/min), vorzugsweise in Holzfässer, bezogen auf das Falzgewicht, 200% Wasser 40°C und 0,2% eines nicht-ionischen Tensids zum Waschen der Chromwetblue zugeführt. Die Laufzeitbeträgt 30 Minuten. Danach werden die Leder in einem Zeitraum von 150 Minuten in einer neuen Flotte von 100% Wasser 40°C mit 1,5% Na-formiat und 3% Na-bicarbonat neutralisiert. Der End-pH-Wert liegt bei pH>6. Es folgt eine Vorfettung mit 0,5% eines Fettsäureesters über 60 Minuten, in Kombination mit 2% eines Polymergerbstoffs über 40 Minuten und 20% eines synthetischen Nachgerbstoffs (Naphthalin-Phenol-Kondensationsprodukt) über 60 Minuten. Die nächsten Schritte leiten die Färbung mit anionischen Farbstoffen ein und gehen direkt in die Fettung mit langkettigen Paraffinen und hydrophoben Emulgatoren über.
- Dabei wird die Durchfärbung bei 50% Wasser 20°C mit 1,0% Ammoniak und anionischen Farbstoffen, vorzugsweise sauer-substantive Farbstoffen, über 60 Minuten bei ca.12 U/min erzielt und im selben Medium unter Zugabe von 100% Wasser 60°C und 4,5% Fettungsmittelgemisch von langkettigen Paraffinen ca. 45% Wirkstoffgehalt und sulfitierten Ölen ca. 55% Wirkstoffgehalt in einem Verhältnis von 1:1 über 40 Minuten lang gefettet und durch Zugabe von 3,5% Ameisensäure 85%ig über 60 Minuten fixiert.
- Die Endtoneinstellung der Farbe erfolgt in einem frischen Bad mit 200% Wasser 50°C und einer Zugabe anionischer Farbstoffe des Typs sauer Substantiv während 60 Minuten und wird durch die Zugabe von 0,5-1,0% Ameisensäure 85% über 20 Minuten fixiert und abgeschlossen. Der End pH liegt zwischen 3,5 und 3,6.
- Es folgt ein Waschgang mit 200% Wasser 20°C über 10 Minuten.
- Im Anschluss an die Nassarbeiten wird die Trocknung durch ein intensives Abwelken und Ausrecken mittels handelsüblicher Walzenmaschinen eingeleitet. Es erfolgt eine Vortrocknung unter Einsatz der Vakuumtechnik bei 60°C 3 Minuten und eine Austrocknung im Trockentunnel über 8 Stunden bei 50°C. Durch ein intensives Rückbefeuchten der Ledermatrix auf > 50% Wassergehalt wird eine Rekonditionierung der Faser erreicht. Dem folgt eine Rücktrocknung der Ledermatrix auf unter 15% Wassergehalt mittels Vakuumtechnik bei 60°C 1-2 Minuten und Hängetrocknung über mind. 8 Stunden bei 40°C. Die intensive Weichmachung der Faser erfolgt mittels einer handelsüblichen Durchlaufstollmaschine mit Stiftwerkzeugen und ist vorbereitender Arbeitsgang für die Oberflächenbeschichtung (Zurichtung).
- Das Finish besteht aus einer Mischung von feinteiligen Polymeren ca. 40 % Wirkstoffgehalt und feinteiligen Polyurethandispersionen ca. 30% Wirkstoffgehalt (Modifizierte Polyurethan/Acrylatcopolymer Emulsion), welche ihre Farbgebung durch den Zusatz von unorganischen Pigmentdispersionen erhalten. 400 Teile Bindergemisch werden mit 100 Teilen anorganischen Pigmenten und 350 bis 400 Teile Wasser gemischt. Die Bindermischung wird 2-3 Mal (10 bis 15 g/Quadratfuß Leder) mittels einer handelsübliche Rundläuferspritzmaschine auf die Lederoberfläche aufgetragen und anschließen mit einer Durchlaufbügelmaschine mit 80°C verfilmt. Dieser Arbeitsgang wiederholt sich 3 Mal. Durch eine einmalige Zwischenlackierung mit einem wässrigen Emulsionslack auf Polyurethanbasis mit etwa 25% (w/w) Wirkstoffgehalt von ca. 10 g/Quadratfuß Leder wird der Zurichtfilm mittelhart eingestellt.
- Anschließend wird mit der Durchlaufbügelmaschine bei ca. 80°C gebügelt. Durch ein wiederholtes Stollen mittels der Durchlaufstollmaschine wird eine intensive Faserlockerung erreicht, welche eine Vorarbeit für das anschließende Walken im Walkfaß darstellt. Der Arbeitsgang Walken ist maßgebend für die Ausprägung des Walkkorns und der daraus resultierenden Lederoberfläche (Schrumpfoptik).
- Durch kontinuierliches Einbringen von Feuchtigkeit über 2 Stunden in das Walkfaß (1,5m Breite, 2m Höhe; Wasser 40Liter /70 Stücke Leder) und gleichzeitig rotierender mechanischer Bearbeitung bei mindestens 18 U/min wird die Konditionierung der Faser gewährleistet. Nach 3 Stunden Laufzeit wird mit dem systematischen Entzug der Feuchtigkeit bis auf 25% Wassergehalt der Leder unter beibehaltener rotierender mechanischen Bearbeitung über 6-8 Stunden begonnen und so die Korngröße des Schrumpfbildes bei gleichzeitiger Griffeinstellung (Festigkeit und sogenannter Sprung des Fertigleders) bestimmt.
- Eine anschließende Klimatisierung im Trockentunnel bei 40°C über 2 Stunden und der Absenkung des Wassergehalts des Leders unter 15% fixiert das Narbenbild.
- Die endgültige Fixierung des Schrumpfnarbens wird durch das Auftragen von 2-Isocyanat vernetzten, wässrigen, feinteiligen Polyurthetan Dispersionen (etwa 30%ig) in einem Mischungsverhältnis von 30 Teilen Binder in 100 Teilen Wasser mit einer Auftragsmenge von mindestens 10 mg/Quadratfuß Leder mittels einer handelsüblichen Rundläuferspritzmaschine erreicht.
- Vorteilhafterweise müssen beim erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren weder eine vorzeitige Sortimentsauswahl in einem frühen Stadium der Lederherstellung (Wasserwerkstatt) erfolgen noch müssen spezielle Schrumpfgerbstoffe zum Einsatz kommen, um eine zuverlässige sortimentliche Quantität qualitativ einheitlicher Oberflächen zu erzielen. Durch die Erzielung dieser gleichmäßigen Oberfläche und die durch die Vorsortierung gewährleistete Sortimentsbestimmung im Vergleich zur Blößensortierung, wird eine maximale Oberflächennutzung für die darauf folgende Verarbeitung des Leders ermöglicht. Die Herangehensweise beim erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren im Vergleich zu im Stand der Technik üblichen Verfahren ist eine andere und basiert auf der Verwendung einer substanzhaltigen Kalbfellware, welche klassisch nach dem Chrom ungelöst Verfahren chromgegerbt wird.
- Die zuvor gemachten Erklärungen und Interpretationen gelten mutatis mutandis für die folgenden bevorzugten Ausführungsformen des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens.
- In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens weist der Lederschrumpf eine Felldicke von 2 bis 3 mm, bevorzugt 2,3 bis 2,5 mm auf.
- Bevorzugt ist eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens, wobei die Schritte a) und d) in einem rotierenden Gefäß bei 12 U/min durchgeführt werden.
- Bevorzugt ist weiterhin eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens, wobei das Waschen in Schritt a) bei etwa 40°C für etwa 30 min durchgeführt wird.
- Bevorzugt ist auch eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens, wobei das Neutralisieren in Schritt b) bei etwa 40°C für etwa 150 min durchgeführt wird und ein End-pH Wert größer als pH 6,0 in der Lösung erreicht wird.
- Bevorzugt ist ebenfalls eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens, wobei die Inkubationszeit für die Inkubation des Fells in Schritt c) mit etwa 0,5% (w/w) Lösung eines Fettsäureesters etwa 60 min, mit der etwa 2% (w/w) Lösung eines Polymergerbstoffes etwa 40 min und mit der etwa 20% (w/w) Lösung eines Nachgerbstoffes 60 min beträgt.
- Bevorzugt ist eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens, wobei das Färben in Schritt d) bei etwa 20°C für etwa 60 min durchgeführt wird.
- Bevorzugt ist zudem eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens, wobei die Fettung in Schritt e) für etwa 40 min durchgeführt wird.
- Bevorzugt ist eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens" wobei die Fixierung in Schritt f) für etwa 60 min durchgeführt wird.
- Bevorzugt ist ebenfalls eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens, wobei die Endtoneinstellung in Schritt g) für etwa 60 min bei etwa 50°C durchgeführt wird.
- Bevorzugt ist eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens" wobei die Fixierung in Schritt h) für etwa 20 min durchgeführt wird und ein End- pH Wert zwischen pH 3,5 und 3,6 in der Lösung erreicht wird.
- Bevorzugt ist weiterhin eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens" wobei der Schritt i) für etwa 10 min bei etwa 20°C durchgeführt wird.
- Bevorzugt ist zudem eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens" wobei das Trocknen in Schritt j) einen Schritt umfasst, bei dem das Fell abgewelkt und ausgereckt wird, unter Einsatz von Vakuum bei etwa 60°C für etwa 3 min vorgetrocknet und für etwa 8 Stunden (h) bei etwa 50°C ausgetrocknet wird.
- Bevorzugt ist auch eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens" wobei das Walken in Schritt n) für etwa 2 h und das Entfeuchten in Schritt o) für etwa 6 bis 8 h in einem rotierenden Gefäß mit 18 U/min etwa 10 min bei etwa 20°C durchgeführt werden.
- Bevorzugt ist schließlich eine Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens" wobei die Klimatisierung in Schritt p) für etwa 2 h bei etwa 40°C durchgeführt wird.
- Schließlich betrifft die Erfindung auch einen Lederschrumpf, der durch das zuvor beschriebenen erfindungsgemäße Verfahren erhältlich ist und bevorzugt eine Felldicke von 2 bis 3 mm, bevorzugt 2,3 bis 2,5 mm aufweist.

Figur 1 zeigt eine schematische Übersicht über das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren umfassend die Schritte Waschen zumindest eines Chrom-gegerbten Fells (Chromwetblue) in einer Wasch-Lösung enthaltend bezogen auf das Falzgewicht des Fells 200% (w/w) Wasser und 0,2% (w/w) eines nicht-ionischen Tensides (101); Neutralisieren des behandelten Fells in einer Neutralisations-Lösung enthaltend bezogen auf das Falzgewicht des Fells 100% (w/w) Wasser, 1,5% (w/w) Natriumformiat und 3% (w/w) Natriumbicarbonat (102); Vorfettung umfassend die Inkubation des Fells mit 0,5% (w/w) Lösung eines Fettsäureesters, 2% (w/w) Lösung eines Polymergerbstoffes und 20% (w/w) Lösung eines Nachgerbstoffes (103); Färbung des Fells in einer Färbe-Lösung umfassend 50% (w/w) Wasser, 1,5% (w/w) Ammoniak und anionischem Farbstoff (104); Fettung durch Zugabe von 100% (w/w) Wasser und 4,5% Fettungsmittelgemisch, wobei dieses Fettungsmittelgemisch 45% (w/w) langkettige Paraffine und 55% (w/w) sulfitierte Öle aufweist (105); Fixierung durch Zugabe von 3,5% (w/w) Ameisensäure (106); Endtoneinstellung durch Überführung des Fells in eine Toner-Lösung umfassend 200% (w/w) Wasser mit anionischem Farbstoff des Typs saurer Substantiv (107); Fixierung durch Zugabe von 0,5-1,0 %(w/w) Ameisensäure (108); Waschen des Fells in 200% (w/w) Wasser (109); Trocknen des Fells (110); Auftragen einer Bindermischungs-Lösung umfassend Bindergemisch und eine anorganische Pigmentdispersion im Verhältnis 4:1, wobei die Bindermischungs-Lösung 40% (w/w) feinteilige Polyurethandispersion und 30% (w/w) modifizierte Polyurethan/Acrylatcopolymeremulsion aufweist (111); Auftragen eines wässrigen Emulsionslack auf Polyurethanbasis mit etwa 25% (w/w) Wirkstoffgehalt (112); Bügeln und Stollen des Felles (113); Walken des Felles unter kontinuierlicher Feuchtigkeitszufuhr (114); Entfeuchten des Fells bis zu einem Feuchtigkeitsgehalt von 25% (w/w) im Fell (115); Klimatisierung des Fells und Reduktion des Feutigkeitsgehalts auf 15% (w/w) oder weniger (116); und Auftragen einer Fixierungs-Lösung umfassend eine 30% (w/w) Polyurethandispersion, wobei das Polyurethan 2-Isocyant vernetzt ist und ein Mischungsverhältnis Binder zu Wasser von 3 Teilen :10 Teilen vorliegt, wodurch der Lederschrumpf erhalten wird (117). -
Figur 2: Figur 2A zeigt die Oberfläche eines gleichmäßigen Kalbslederschrumpfes, der mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren erzeugt wurde. Zum Vergleich ist inFigur 2B die Oberfläche eines ungleichmäßigen Kalbslederschrumpfes, der nicht mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren erzeugt wurde, abgebildet. - Die folgenden Ausführungsbeispiele dienen lediglich der Illustration der Erfindung und dürfen nicht zur Einschränkung des Schutzbereichs herangezogen werden.
- Es wurde ein sogenanntes Chromwetblue (gegerbtes Zwischenprodukt mit einem Chromoxidgehalt vom mindestens 1,5%) eingesetzt.
- In rotierenden Holzfässern wurde bei 12 U/min, bezogen auf das Falzgewicht, 200% Wasser 40°C und 0,2% eines nicht-ionogenen Tensids zum Waschen der Chromwetblue zugeführt. Die Laufzeit betrug 30 Minuten. Danach werden die Leder in einem Zeitraum von 150 Minuten in einer neuen Flotte von 100% Wasser 40°C mit 1,5% Na-formiat und 3% Na-bicarbonat neutralisiert. Der End-pH-Wert liegt bei pH>6. Es folgte eine Vorfettung mit 0,5% eines Fettsäureesters über 60 Minuten, in Kombination mit 2% eines Polymergerbstoffs über 40 Minuten und 20% eines synthetischen Nachgerbstoffs (Naphthalin-Phenol-Kondensationsprodukt) über 60 Minuten. Die nächsten Schritte leiten die Färbung mit anionischen Farbstoffen ein und gehen direkt in die Fettung mit langkettigen Paraffinen und hydrophoben Emulgatoren über.
- Dabei wurde die Durchfärbung bei 50% Wasser 20°C mit 1,5% Ammoniak und sauer-substantive Farbstoff über 60 Minuten bei ca.12 U/min erzielt und im selben Medium unter Zugabe von 100% Wasser 60°C und 4,5% Fettungsmittelgemisch von langkettigen Paraffinen ca. 45% Wirkstoffgehalt und sulfitierten Ölen ca. 55% Wirkstoffgehalt in einem Verhältnis von 1:1 über 40 Minuten lang gefettet und durch Zugabe von 3,5% Ameisensäure 85%ig über 60 Minuten fixiert.
- Die Endtoneinstellung der Farbe erfolgte in einem frischen Bad mit 200% Wasser 50°C und einer Zugabe anionischer Farbstoffe des Typs sauer Substantiv während 60 Minuten und wurde durch die Zugabe von 0,5-1,0% Ameisensäure 85% über 20 Minuten fixiert und abgeschlossen. Der End-pH-Wert liegt zwischen 3,5 und 3,6.
- Es folgte ein Waschgang mit 200% Wasser 20°C über 10 Minuten.
- Im Anschluss an die Nassarbeiten wurde die Trocknung durch ein intensives Abwelken und Ausrecken mittels handelsüblicher Walzenmaschinen eingeleitet. Es erfolgte eine Vortrocknung unter Einsatz der Vakuumtechnik bei 60°C 3 Minuten und eine Austrocknung im Trockentunnel über 8 Stunden bei 50°C. Durch ein intensives Rückbefeuchten der Ledermatrix auf > 50% Wassergehalt wurde eine Rekonditionierung der Faser erreicht. Dem folgte eine Rücktrocknung der Ledermatrix auf unter 15% Wassergehalt mittels Vakuumtechnik bei 60°C 1-2 Minuten und Hängetrocknung über mind. 8 Stunden bei 40°C. Die intensive Weichmachung der Faser erfolgte mittels einer handelsüblichen Durchlaufstollmaschine mit Stiftwerkzeugen und ist vorbereitender Arbeitsgang für die Oberflächenbeschichtung (Zurichtung).
- Das Finish bestand aus einer Mischung von feinteiligen Polymeren ca. 40 % Wirkstoffgehalt und feinteiligen Polyurethandispersionen ca. 30% Wirkstoffgehalt (Modifizierte Polyurethan/Acrylatcopolymeremulsion), welche ihre Farbgebung durch den Zusatz von unorganischen Pigmentdispersionen erhalten. 400 Teile Bindergemisch wurden mit 100 Teile anorganischen Pigmenten und 350-400 Teile Wasser gemischt. Die Bindermischung wird 2-3 Mal (10-15gr/Quadratfuß Leder) mittels einer handelsübliche Rundläuferspritzmaschine auf die Lederoberfläche aufgetragen und anschließen mit einer Durchlaufbügelmaschine mit 80°C verfilmt. Dieser Arbeitsgang wiederholte sich 3 Mal. Durch eine einmalige Zwischenlackierung mit einem wässrigem Emulsionslack auf Basis Polyurethan 25% Wirkstoffgehalt von ca. 10gr/Quadratfuß Leder wurde der Zurichtfilm mittelhart eingestellt.
- Anschließend wurde mit der Durchlaufbügelmaschine bei ca. 80°C gebügelt. Durch ein wiederholtes Stollen mittels der Durchlaufstollmaschine wurde eine intensive Faserlockerung erreicht, welche eine Vorarbeit für das anschließende Walken im Walkfaß darstellt. Der Arbeitsgang Walken ist maßgebend für die Ausprägung des Walkkorns und der daraus resultierenden Lederoberfläche (Schrumpfoptik).
- Durch kontinuierliches Einbringen von Feuchtigkeit über 2 Stunden in das Walkfaß (1,5m Breite, 2m Höhe) (Wasser 40Liter /70 Stücke Leder) und gleichzeitig rotierender mechanischer Bearbeitung bei mindestens 18 U/min wurde die Konditionierung der Faser gewährleistet. Nach 3 Stunden Laufzeit wurde mit dem systematischen Entzug der Feuchtigkeit bis auf 25% Wassergehalt der Leder unter beibehaltener rotierender mechanischen Bearbeitung über 6-8 Stunden begonnen und so die Korngröße des Schrumpfbildes bei gleichzeitiger Griffeinstellung (Festigkeit und sogenannter Sprung des Fertigleders) bestimmt.
- Eine anschließende Klimatisierung im Trockentunnel bei 40°C über 2 Stunden und der Absenkung des Wassergehalts des Leders unter 15% fixierte das Narbenbild.
- Die endgültige Fixierung des Schrumpfnarbens wurde durch das Auftragen von 2-Isocyanat vernetzten, wässrigen, feinteiligen Polyurthetandispersionen (ca. 30%ig) in einem Mischungsverhältnis von 30 Teilen Binder in 100 Teilen Wasser mit einer Auftragsmenge von mindestens 10 mg/Quadratfuß Leder mittels einer handelsüblichen Rundläuferspritzmaschine erreicht.
- Der so gewonnene Kalbslederschrumpf zeigt überwiegend eine homogen gestaltete Oberfläche wie in
Fig. 2A gezeigt.
Claims (15)
- Verfahren zur Herstellung von Lederschrumpf umfassend die folgenden Schritte:a) Waschen zumindest eines Chrom-gegerbten Fells (Chromwetblue) in einer Wasch-Lösung enthaltend etwa 200% (w/w) Wasser und etwa 0,2% (w/w) eines nicht-ionischen Tensides;b) Neutralisieren des behandelten Fells in einer Neutralisations-Lösung enthaltend etwa 100% (w/w) Wasser, etwa 1,5% (w/w) Natriumformiat und etwa 3% (w/w) Natriumbicarbonat;c) Vorfettung umfassend die Inkubation des Fells mit etwa 0,5% (w/w) Lösung eines Fettsäureesters, etwa 2% (w/w) Lösung eines Polymergerbstoffes und etwa 20% (w/w) Lösung eines Nachgerbstoffes;d) Färbung des Fells in einer Färbe-Lösung umfassend etwa 50% (w/w) Wasser, etwa 1,5% (w/w) Ammoniak und anionischem Farbstoff;e) Fettung durch Zugabe von etwa 100% (w/w) Wasser und etwa 4,5% Fettungsmittelgemisch, wobei dieses Fettungsmittelgemisch etwa 45% (w/w) langkettige Paraffine und etwa 55% (w/w) sulfitierte Öle aufweist;f) Fixierung durch Zugabe von etwa 3,5% (w/w) Ameisensäure;g) Endtoneinstellung durch Überführung des Fells in eine Toner-Lösung umfassend etwa 200% (w/w) Wasser mit anionischem Farbstoff des Typs saurer Substantivh) Fixierung durch Zugabe von etwa 0,5-1,0 %(w/w) Ameisensäure;i) Waschen des Fells in etwa 200% (w/w) Wasser;j) Trocknen des Fells;k) Auftragen einer Bindermischungs-Lösung umfassend Bindergemisch und eine anorganische Pigmentdispersion im Verhältnis 4:1, wobei die Bindermischungs-Lösung etwa 40% (w/w) feinteilige Polyurethandispersion und etwa 30% (w/w) modifizierte Polyurethan/Acrylatcopolymeremulsion aufweist;l) Auftragen eines wässrigen Emulsionslacks auf Polyurethanbasis mit etwa 25% (w/w) Wirkstoffgehalt;m) Bügeln und Stollen des Felles;n) Walken des Felles unter kontinuierlicher Feuchtigkeitszufuhr;o) Entfeuchten des Fells bis zu einem Feuchtigkeitsgehalt von etwa 25% (w/w) im Fell;p) Klimatisierung des Fells und Reduktion des Feutigkeitsgehalts auf etwa 15% (w/w) oder weniger; undq) Auftragen einer Fixierungs-Lösung umfassend eine etwa 30% (w/w) Polyurethandispersion, wobei das Polyurethan 2-Isocyant vernetzt ist und ein Mischungsverhältnis Binder zu Wasser von 3 Teilen :10 Teilen vorliegt, wodurch der Lederschrumpf erhalten wird.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, wobei der Lederschrumpf eine Felldicke von 2 bis 3 mm, bevorzugt 2,3 bis 2,5 mm aufweist.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei die Schritte a) und d) in einem rotierenden Gefäß bei etwa 12 U/min durchgeführt werden.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, wobei das Waschen in Schritt a) bei etwa 40°C für etwa 30 min durchgeführt wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, wobei das Neutralisieren in Schritt b) bei etwa 40°C für etwa 150 min durchgeführt wird und ein End- pH Wert größer als pH 6,0 in der Lösung erreicht wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, wobei die Inkubationszeit für die Inkubation des Fells in Schritt c) mit etwa 0,5% (w/w) Lösung eines Fettsäureesters etwa 60 min, mit der etwa 2% (w/w) Lösung eines Polymergerbstoffes etwa 40 min und mit der etwa 20% (w/w) Lösung eines Nachgerbstoffes etwa 60 min beträgt.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, wobei das Färben in Schritt d) bei etwa 20°C für etwa 60 min durchgeführt wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, wobei die Fettung in Schritt e) für etwa 40 min durchgeführt wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, wobei die Fixierung in Schritt f) für etwa 60 min durchgeführt wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, wobei die Endtoneinstellung in Schritt g) für etwa 60 min bei etwa 50°C durchgeführt wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 10, wobei die Fixierung in Schritt h) für etwa 20 min durchgeführt wird und ein End- pH Wert zwischen pH 3,5 und 3,6 in der Lösung erreicht wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 11, wobei der Schritt i) für etwa 10 min bei etwa 20°C durchgeführt wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 12, wobei das Trocknen in Schritt j) einen Schritt umfasst, bei dem das Fell abgewelkt und ausgereckt wird, unter Einsatz von Vakuum bei etwa 60°C für etwa 3 min vorgetrocknet und für etwa 8 h bei etwa 50°C ausgetrocknet wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 13, wobei das Walken in Schritt n) für etwa 2 h und das Entfeuchten in Schritt o) für etwa 6 bis 8 h in einem rotierenden Gefäß mit etwa 18 U/min etwa 10 min bei etwa 20°C durchgeführt werden.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 14, wobei die Klimatisierung in Schritt p) für etwa 2 h bei etwa 40°C durchgeführt wird.
