  • the invention has for its object a paint supply device with an ink knife to accomplish.
  • the proposed solution provides quick and / or simple and / or inexpensive handling of a zonally adjustable ink supply device comprising a one-part or multi-part color meter.
  • the adjusting elements can be set in advance so that the zero position of the adjusting means or their drives does not have to be reset each time the knife is changed. This also prevents wear on the possibly more expensive actuators themselves.
  • the color knife can be separated from the adjusting means, the knife can be used as a metering edge on several of its edges.
  • a gill gap accommodating the ink knife is designed with an oversize in its length, so that when the ink knife is ready for use it does not end in the clamping gap, ie with its end opposite the metering edge strikes. • the ink knife In order to enable an easily reproducible arrangement of the ink knife, it is arranged in the ink fountain on a knife holder which can be detached therefrom and which can also be fitted precisely into an assembly device. • the adjustment path not used for the adjustment in printing operation can be used to readjust the zero position, e.g. B. necessary because of wear of the ink knife edge.
  • the zero positions can be adjusted directly with the actuators of the actuating means. Only when the entire setting range has been fully used is the color knife in question to be turned or turned over, or exchanged for a new knife or a newly sharpened knife.
