Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for producing an electrical contact carrier according to claim 1.
- electrical switchgear electrical contacts are provided to close a current path through the switching device or keep closed, or to open or keep open.
- the relevant contacts are arranged on movable or immovable or housing-fixed contact carriers. This separate training of the contact on a contact carrier has prevailed due to the high demands on the contacts.
- short-term arcing events occur, which in turn leads to material removal and high thermal stress on the material.
- the contacts are exposed to environmental influences, and should have over a long time good electrical properties, which, however, can be affected by oxide layers.
- the contacts are therefore made of special materials to meet the correspondingly high requirements.
- Common contact materials for electrical contracts contain precious metals such as silver or gold. These materials are rare and costly.
- the contact carrier is formed of copper or a copper alloy, on which an electrical contact of a silver and / or gold alloy is arranged. It is provided according to a common method, the contact carrier from a complex semi-finished in shape a bimetal consisting of a copper alloy for the contact carrier and a noble metal alloy as a contact material for the actual contact to manufacture. Due to the manufacturing process, the majority of the noble metal alloy is removed from the semifinished product. It is intended, for example, that the majority of the noble metal alloy, apart from the region which is to form the contact itself, is removed by a punching process.
- the GB 2 072 057 A describes the production of a contact carrier, which consists of a base body and a contact material, which is inserted into a recess of the base body, and is subsequently formed by embossing to a contact.
- the US 3,995,365 A discloses the manufacture of an electrical contact wherein contact areas are made in a blank, and subsequently contacts are punched out of the blank.
- the DE 701 293 C describes the production of a contact carrier consisting of a resilient body and a rolled contact area.
- the US Pat. No. 3,164,708 discloses the production of electrical contacts, wherein holes are produced in a semi-finished product, in which a contact material is introduced and subsequently contact carriers are punched out of it.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a method of the type mentioned, with which the mentioned disadvantages can be avoided, with which reduces the cost of contact material and the manufacturing quality of the contacts can be increased.
- a contact carrier can be formed with an electrical contact, wherein only a small amount of contact material is obtained. Due to the rational use of the generally at least one noble metal comprehensive contact material, the cost of a finished contact carrier can be significantly reduced. Furthermore, valuable and rare resources can be saved. By dispensing with a punching of the contact material in the region of the contact to be formed, the production quality in this area can be further increased significantly, whereby the scrap can be reduced and the quality assurance measures applied can be reduced. As a result, the production cost can be reduced and the quality can be increased.
- FIG. 1 shows a region of production of a contact bridge according to a preferred embodiment of the present method.
- the figure shows an area of a manufacturing arrangement for the production of contact carriers 1 according to a method wherein provision is made to produce a base profile 3 in a base material 4, wherein a contact material 5 is subsequently applied to a contact receiving area 6 is applied, wherein the contact material 5 is formed into a contact 7, and wherein subsequently the contact carrier 1 is removed from the base material 4.
- a contact carrier 1 can be formed with an electrical contact 7, wherein only small waste of contact material 5 is obtained.
- the contact material 5 which generally comprises at least one precious metal, the costs for a finished contact carrier 1 can be significantly reduced. Furthermore, valuable and rare resources can be saved.
- the production quality in this area can be further increased significantly, as a result of which the scrap can be reduced and the quality assurance measures used can be reduced. As a result, the production cost can be reduced and the quality can be increased.
- the single FIGURE shows a partial area of a manufacturing arrangement in which, in a type of pipelining, a respective method step is carried out on one and the same base material 4, which is optionally moved on between the method steps to the following arranged tool.
- the subject method is provided for producing a contact carrier 1, which may be any type of contact carrier 1 of a switching device, therefore a device which directly carries or has an electrical contact.
- the contact carrier 1 is a switching bridge 2 of a safety switching device, in particular a circuit breaker or a circuit breaker.
- a safety switching device in particular a circuit breaker or a circuit breaker.
- switching bridges 2 such safety relays special requirements are made, since these must open circuits in the event of a short circuit, in which currents flow in the range of several thousand amps.
- the contact carrier 1 consists, except for the contact 7 itself, of the material of the base material 4.
- the base material 4 denotes the semifinished product from which the contact carrier 1 is made, and from the material thereof consists essentially. It is preferably provided that the base material 4 includes a substantial portion of copper. Preferably, the base material 4 is a metal strip or a metal cuboid of sufficient thickness.
- contact 7 is in each case a region of the contact carrier 1 to understand, which is provided and designed to be within an electrical switching device in physical contact to connect with another component, and to form such an electrically conductive connection.

- the contact 7 is formed from a contact material 5, which differs from the material of the base material 4. It is preferably provided that the contact material 5 comprising a noble metal, in particular silver and / or gold, is formed, wherein it can further be provided that the contact material 5 includes copper.
- a base profile 3 is produced in the base material 4.
- the base profile 3 forms the contour of the contact carrier 1 on at least one side, in particular the side on which the contact 7 is formed. It can be provided to work out the base profile 3 in different ways from the base material 4, for example by means of cutting shaping methods such as milling or filing. It is preferably provided that the base profile 3 according to13panabariader method, in particular by punching and / or embossing, is produced in the base material 4. Such methods have particular advantages in mass production.
- the figure shows the base material 4 with basic profiles 3 already produced.
- a contact material 5 is applied to a contact receiving area 6.
- the contact receiving area 6 designates the area at which the electrical contact 7 is to be arranged. It can be provided that the contact receiving area 6 is already formed during production of the base profile 3. Description
GB 2 072 057 A - Die
