Definitions

  • the invention relates to a sharpener for a pen, in particular for a cosmetic or pharmaceutical pen.
  • a sharpener is usually used to sharpen the lead of a pen, thereby peeling off an optional lead envelope - hereinafter also referred to as (pencil) sheath - in the region of the pen tip.
  • a sharpener comprises an approximately cuboidal or wedge-shaped sharpener body, in which a pin guide channel is introduced with a substantially circular conical pointed cone as a guide for the pen tip such that its lateral surface approximately tangent to an outer surface of the sharpener body. In the vicinity of this tangent, the pointed cone is opened via a chip ejection slot to the adjacent outer surface of the sharpener body.
  • a sharpener further comprises a paring knife, which is fixed tangentially with respect to the lateral surface of the pointed cone on the sharpener body and protrudes with a cutting edge deart in the chip ejection slot that upon rotation of a pin inserted into the cone tapered with respect to the sharpener body by the cutting edge of the peeling knife a chip of lifted off the pen.
  • sheath edge The transition between lead and sheath material in the area of the pen tip is referred to below as the "sheath edge”.
  • the uneven edge of the casing is also problematic in terms of skin compatibility. If such a pin is not sharpened regularly, the jagged edge of the jacket, when used, comes in close proximity to the area of the skin on which the lead material is applied and may cause skin irritations or injuries and associated pain or even infections. This is particularly problematic from the additional point of view that cosmetic and pharmaceutical sticks are often applied to particularly sensitive skin areas, e.g. Eyelids or lips, are used.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a pen sharpener, which is particularly suitable for use to produce a particularly uniform jacket edge when used properly in the pen tip of the sharpened pin.
  • the pin guide channel comprises at least one circular cone-shaped channel section with a base diameter which slightly exceeds the diameter of the pin to be sharpened.
  • This circular-cone-shaped channel section is also referred to below as "pointed cone".
  • the pin guide channel opens into a pin insertion opening.
  • the sharpener comprises an approximately tangential to the lateral surface of the pointed cone employed peeling knife.
  • the peeling knife is used in the first variant of the invention according to claim 1 for peeling off a pen tip, which necessarily includes a front lead portion and a rear shell portion in a pin of the type mentioned above.
  • the term "mine section” refers to that section of the pen tip in which the lead emerges outwards.
  • a "shell portion” corresponding to that portion of the pen tip is referred to, in which the pin shell protrudes outward.
  • the sharpener here according to the invention comprises a contour tool for introducing a shoulder into the pen tip, which recesses against a circular cone-shaped envelope surface of the pen tip, as is produced by the peeling blade, which thus forms a concave contour with respect to the circular cone-shaped envelope surface.
  • the contour tool is arranged with respect to the pin guide channel that it introduces the paragraph in the transition between the mine section and the shell portion of the pen tip.
  • contour tool paragraph is thus introduced exactly in the region of the pen tip in which is located in a pen tip formed by a conventional pen nib uneven edge of the mantle.
  • This edge of the jacket material is made uniform by the contouring tool provided according to the invention, ie, smoothed and brought into a rotationally symmetrical shape.
  • the sharpener according to the invention is thereby advantageously used for the tips of pens and pens.
  • the smoothed edge of the casing additionally virtually eliminates the risk of skin injury or skin irritation with continued use of the non-sharpened stick.
  • the contour tool is preferably designed to form in the pen tip as a paragraph a step-shaped contour with a near-acute wall portion and a sharp edge remote from the distal wall portion, the near-peak wall portion is approximately cylindrical, and thus approximately parallel to the pin axis.
  • the tip-remote wall region is preferably produced in such a way that it is aligned at least predominantly approximately radially with respect to the pin axis.
  • “sharp-edged” here a transition is referred to, whose radius is small compared to the width of the adjacent wall portions of the paragraph.
  • To the apex of the pen tip of the near-peak wall area expediently extends to the outer periphery of the pen tip. He thus goes here preferably continuously (without renewed stage) in the circular cone-shaped wall portion of the pen tip.
  • the heel is introduced by the contour tool in the pen tip, that the pin surface is formed in the near-end wall portion exclusively of the mine.
  • the contour tool is designed and arranged in the pin guide channel in such a way that it causes material removal all the way to the mine, and optionally into it, in the entire region of the wall close to the tip.
  • the tip-remote wall region of the shoulder is preferably inserted into the pen tip by the contour tool to be correspondingly formed and to be arranged in the pin guide channel such that this wall region is formed at least predominantly by the jacket.
  • the step-shaped shoulder is preferably introduced by the contour tool into the pen tip in such a way that the dividing line between the refill material and the sheath material, ie the sheath edge, runs essentially along the transition between the two wall regions of the shoulder.
  • the contour tool comprises a processing edge for the removal of casing material and optionally also lead material.
  • the machining edge is preferably oriented substantially radially, ie perpendicular to the axis of the pin guide channel, at least in an inner section.
  • a sufficiently smooth jacket edge can also be achieved with a contour tool which has a machining edge which is set slightly opposite to the radial direction. Therefore, a "machining edge” is also referred to as “essentially radial", the orientation of which deviates slightly from the radial direction, in particular forms an angle of attack (off-center) with the axis of the pin guide channel which exceeds 80 °, preferably> 85 °. In this case, the tip-distant wall portion of the paragraph formed by the contour tool has a slight conicity.
  • the machining edge of the contour tool is set slightly against the insertion direction of the pin, at least in an inner region, so that the (off-peak) angle of attack formed between the machining edge and the axis of the pin guide channel slightly exceeds 90 °.
  • the contour tool forms a shoulder in the pen tip, wherein the sheath edge lies in a receding towards the pin end groove.
  • the contour tool is designed in the manner of a knife, turning tool or turning iron.
  • the machining edge forms a main cutting edge for peeling off the mantle material.
  • the contour tool has, in addition to the processing edge forming the main cutting edge, on an inner edge a secondary cutting edge which is substantially parallel to the axis of the pencil guide channel.
  • the secondary cutting edge is not aligned exactly parallel to the axis of the pin guide channel, but includes a (small) clearance angle with the axis of the pin guide channel, of e.g. 2 ° - 5 °.
  • the contour tool is designed in the manner of a file.
  • the processing edge forms a rasp in this case.
  • the machining edge viewed from the apex of the pen tip, is arranged at an axial height which corresponds to approximately one third of the total length of the pointed cone. Between the processing edge and the base of the pointed cone in this case, so about twice as large distance is formed as between the processing edge and the apex of the pointed cone.
  • the processing edge has a concave profile, in particular either in the form of an arc or a polygon.
  • the contour tool cuts a shoulder whose tip-distant wall section is convexly curved.
  • the contour tool cuts a shoulder with cross-sectionally straight, angled wall sections, in particular a radial wall section with the outside bevel.
  • the contour tool is arranged on the peeling blade in the radial direction opposite side of the pin guide channel.
  • the contour tool is arranged on the peeling blade in the radial direction facing side of the pin guide channel.
  • the contour tool can in this case be formed either by a separate part of the paring knife, which is preferably arranged under the paring knife.
  • the contour tool is integrally formed on the paring knife.
  • the contour tool can be formed in particular by a deflection of the peeling knife.
  • two staggered peeling blades may be provided, one of which cuts out the shell portion and the other cuts out the lead portion of the pen tip.
  • the contour tool is formed in this case at one of the mutually facing ends of the two peeling blades.
  • the contour tool is made of stainless steel.
  • the sharpener in a preferred embodiment further comprises a blade, in particular of steel or plastic, for rounding off the apex of the pen tip.
  • the sharpener is particularly suitable for sharpening cosmetic and pharmaceutical sticks.
  • the Fassonmesser is in an appropriate design around a separate from both the paring knife and the contour tool part. It may deviate, but also be formed integrally with the paring knife and / or the contour tool.
  • Fig. 1 shows in section a first embodiment of a sharpener 1, in which a (uncut shown) pin 2 is inserted as intended for sharpening.
  • the pin 2 is in particular a cosmetic pencil.
  • the pin 2 comprises a mine 3, which is enveloped by a substantially cylindrical pin shell 4 made of wood. At one end 5 of the pin 2 is already sharpened to a substantially circular conical pin tip 6.
  • the pen tip 6 is essentially subdivided into a front lead portion 7, and a rear cover portion 8.
  • the sharpener 1 comprises a sharpener body 20, a paring knife 21, which is fastened with a screw 22 to the sharpener body 20, and a contour tool 23 for inserting the heel 9.
  • the sharpener body 20 which is here made of plastic by way of example, has a round pin insertion opening 25 on a front side 24 (in the representation on the right).
  • a bore which forms a pin guide channel 26 following the pin insertion opening 25.
  • the pin guide channel 26 comprises a first, the pin insertion opening 25 facing cylindrical channel portion 27, and a second, adjacent to this circular cone-shaped channel portion.
  • This circular-cone-shaped channel section is referred to below as a pointed cone 28.
  • the pointed cone 28 has a base diameter D on, which slightly exceeds the diameter of the pin 2.
  • the sharpener body 20 has an oblique surface 31 which is aligned approximately tangentially to the pointed cone 28.
  • the lateral surface of the pointed cone 28 through a continuous elongated opening to the outside of the sharpener body 20 is open. This opening is used for ejection for peeled chips of the pin jacket 4 and the mine 3 and is hereinafter referred to as Spanausschlitz 33 is.
  • a stepped stepped blade holder 34 is further introduced, in which the paring knife 21 rests.
  • a cutting edge 35 of the peeling blade 21 formed along its longitudinal edge protrudes so far into the chip ejection slot 33 that, when the pin 2 is rotated in the pin guide channel 26, it peels off part of the casing and lead material to form the pen tip 6.
  • a tool holder 37 is inserted into the sharpener body 20 in which the contour tool 23 is fastened.
  • the contour tool 23 is in this case pressed into the tool holder 37 after production of the sharpener body 20.
  • the contour tool 23 is already encapsulated with the material of the sharpener body 20 during the production of the sharpener body 20.
  • the contour tool 23 is here designed as a narrow paring knife approximately in the manner of a turning tool (or: turning iron).
  • the contour tool 23 projects radially further into the pointed cone 28 than the cutting edge 35 of the peeling blade 21.
  • the shoulder 9 is thus inserted into the pin tip 6 with the aid of the contour tool 23.
  • the contour tool 23 is arranged at the transition between the mine section 7 and the jacket section 8, so that the shoulder 9 is introduced into the pin tip 6 in precisely this area.
  • the sharpener body 20 is designed to be open toward the underside 36, so that this region forms a further chip ejection opening 38, which serves as an outlet opening for the chips peeled off with the aid of the contour tool 23.
  • Fig. 2 illustrates further that the cut by the contour tool 23 paragraph 9 has a stepped contour, with a near-peak wall portion 41 of this contour is approximately parallel to the axis 42 of the pin 2, while an adjoining top off wall portion 43 extends predominantly radially to the axis 42, but on the outside is chamfered.
  • the shoulder 9 protrudes sufficiently towards the axle 42 that the contour tool 23 removes the pin surface in the near-to-wall area 41 up to the lead material.
  • the near-peak wall portion 41 of the thus formed paragraph 9 is thus through the lead material educated.
  • the pin surface is formed at least predominantly from the jacket material.
  • the contour tool 23 has a machining edge formed as a main cutting edge 44, which faces the insertion opening 25 of the pin guide channel 26.
  • the main cutting edge 44 closes with the axis 45 of the pin guide channel 26 - as in Fig. 2 indicated by an axis-parallel line 45 '- an angle ⁇ of 90 ° ⁇ 2 °.
  • the main cutting edge 44 is therefore oriented substantially radially to the axis 45.
  • the contour tool 23 has at its inner edge to the main cutting edge 44 approximately at right angles arranged secondary cutting edge 46, which serves to cut off a chip removed by the main cutting edge 44 laterally.
  • the secondary cutting edge 46 is not aligned exactly parallel to the axis, but is slightly exposed to the apex 40 to the outside, so that they do not scrap over the entire length of the mine 3.
  • the sharpener 1 is shown in a second embodiment. This essentially corresponds to the first embodiment.
  • the contour tool 23 is arranged in the radial direction on the same side as the paring knife 21.
