Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for operating a dishwasher with at least one washing container, a circulating pump for conveying washing liquid to at least one spray device for acting on items to be cleaned stored in the washing container, a drain pump for pumping washing liquid out of the dishwasher and with at least one of the Sub-program steps Pre-cleaning, cleaning, rinsing and drying, a wash program that can be put together.
  • Dishwashers generally have at least one washing container and spray devices arranged therein, the spray devices being fed with the washing liquid conveyed by a circulating pump in order to apply washing liquid to the wash ware stored in the washing container.
  • wash programs can usually be selected via a program control device, which can be assembled, for example, from the sub-program steps of pre-cleaning, cleaning, rinsing and drying.
  • the wash ware to be cleaned can also include heavily soiled pots, pans or cookware made of stainless steel, enamel, Jena glass or iron, the surfaces of which are often covered with burnt-in food residues.
  • the burnt-in food residues usually consist of partially burned starch, fat, protein or fiber residues or residues of food cooked in the pots and pans.
  • Another common type of soiling is limescale or layers of lime adhering to the surfaces of the wash ware.
  • the known methods for operating dishwashers have the disadvantage that heavy soiling of the type mentioned above is not removed from the items to be washed, or is removed only inadequately.
  • a dishwasher with a tub and a drain pump for pumping wash liquor into a spray arm is known.
  • a dirt collector is provided to separate dirt from the soapy water. The dirt is separated from the wash liquor under the action of a centrifugal force and a sample of the wash liquor with a high dirt content is passed through a dirt separation channel, the upper end wall of which is formed by a filter screen. While water re-enters the lower tub area through the filter screen, the dirt remains in the separation channel and settles in a collection area. If a pressure in the collection area exceeds a predetermined limit value, which indicates an added filter screen, a drain pump is energized to clean the screen. The drain pump sucks up lye with a high proportion of dirt from the collection area and pumps it to a drain.
  • the present invention is therefore based on the object of providing a method with which it is possible to operate a dishwasher in such a way that even heavy soiling, for example in pots, pans and cookware, is removed from the dishes.
  • Another object of the present invention is to design the washing program sequence of a dishwasher in such a way that, even when there is a large amount of washing residue at the end of the washing program, the removed food residues are removed from the dishwasher.
  • a method for operating a dishwasher with at least one washing container, a circulating pump for conveying washing liquid to at least one spray device for acting on items to be cleaned stored in the washing container, a drain pump for pumping washing liquid out of the dishwasher and with one rinsing program which can be put together at least from the sub-program steps pre-cleaning, cleaning, rinsing and drying, the lye pump being activated at least temporarily during a sub-program step.
  • the method according to the invention makes it possible, in particular during the cleaning phases of the washing program, to remove the washing residues from the washing liquid at an early stage and to remove them from the dishwasher.
  • the washing liquor is relieved of washing residues, particularly in the case of heavily soiled items, which improves the cleaning performance of the dishwasher.
  • the method according to the invention has the effect that, even when the items to be washed are heavily soiled, the removed food residues are removed from the dishwasher at the end of the washing program.
  • Another advantage of the present invention is that due to the avoidance of impairments in the circuit of the washing liquid caused by washing residues and the reduction in the total running time of the washing program, the energy required for the operation of the dishwasher is reduced.
  • intermediate pumping is carried out by at least temporarily activating the drain pump during a sub-program step, the washing residues collected in the pump pot at the bottom of the washing container being conveyed out of the dishwasher. This will make the Reduces the amount of washing residues contained in the dishwasher and in the washing liquid and also reduces the absorption of cleaning agents from the washing liquid.
  • detergent or rinse aid is added to the rinsing liquid at times or continuously during a sub-program step, in particular after the intermediate pump operation of the drain pump.
  • the temporary or continuous addition of detergent or rinse aid ensures that even after performing an intermediate pumping operation, in which the washing liquid is partly conveyed out of the dishwasher via the drain pump, there is a sufficient concentration of cleaning or Rinse aid is present in the rinsing liquid.
  • a similar effect can be achieved if the detergent and / or the rinse aid is preferably added to the rinsing liquid in the form of a slowly dissolving tablet or a so-called tab, so that the detergent or rinse aid is continuously added to the rinsing liquid during a sub-program step.
  • the slow and continuous supply of detergent or rinse aid ensures that the concentration of detergent or rinse aid in the rinsing liquid is built up again in the further rinsing process after the pumping-off of the intermediate pumping.
  • simultaneous operation of the circulation pump and the drain pump is carried out at least temporarily during a sub-program step.
  • the spray devices are fed with rinsing liquid on the one hand and the rinsing residues already detached from the items to be washed are collected at the bottom of the rinsing container.
  • the drain pump By operating the drain pump, the washing residues are removed from the dishwasher together with some of the washing liquid.
  • a type of flushing operation is carried out during a sub-program step, in which the washing residues are collected in the pump pot at the bottom of the washing container and are then conveyed out of the dishwasher in the intermediate pump mode by the drain pump.
  • a number of spray devices are provided in the rinsing container and are operated at least temporarily or alternately during a sub-program step.
  • An upper spray device for an upper crockery basket and a lower spray device for an upper crockery basket are provided.
  • the lower spray device is operated in order to collect the washing residues by means of targeted jetting liquid jets in the pump bowl.
  • fresh water is supplied to the rinsing liquid circuit at least temporarily during a sub-program step by opening a filling valve.
  • the opening of the filling valve for the supply of fresh water can also take place at least temporarily during the operation of the circulation pump. This can prevent, for example, that the amount of rinsing liquid becomes too small in the course of the relevant sub-program step, in particular after an intermediate pump operation of the drain pump.
  • a particularly good washing result can be achieved if an essentially complete washing liquid change is carried out after each sub-program step with the use of washing liquid. This can be accomplished, for example, by draining the washing liquid essentially completely from the dishwasher via the drain pump at the end of a sub-program step and supplying fresh water at the beginning of a subsequent sub-program step with the use of washing liquid.
  • a comminution device for comminuting rinsing residues is activated at least temporarily during operation of the drain pump. After the flushing residues have accumulated in the pump bowl in the flushing operation, as described above, the food residues are comminuted there with the aid of the comminution device and pumped out of the dishwasher via the drain pump. This means that even larger rinsing residues can be crushed and transported out of the dishwasher via the drain pump and the waste water pipe.
  • a dishwasher that is able to carry out the method according to the invention is equipped with at least two spray devices equipped, which can be fed simultaneously or alternately with flushing liquid from the circulation pump. It is also advantageous if the dishwasher has a comminution device for comminuting washing residues, which can be activated at least temporarily during a sub-program step.
  • Figure 1 a diagram showing the operation of the circulation pump and the intermediate pumping operation of the drain pump in a method for operating a dishwasher;
  • Figure 2 a schematic representation of part of the in Figure 1 shown method for operating a dishwasher.
  • Figure 1 shows a diagram to illustrate the operation of the circulation pump and the intermediate pumping operation of the drain pump in a method for operating a dishwasher according to a first preferred embodiment.
  • the time t is plotted on the X-axis and the temperature of the rinsing liquid in ° C on the Y-axis.
  • the diagram of Figure 1 also contains a curve U, which represents the time course of the activity of the circulation pump in the course of the washing program in a preferred embodiment.
  • the execution of the intermediate pumping operation Z can also be seen from this curve U.
  • the washing program of this embodiment comprises three sub-program steps, such as pre-cleaning, cleaning and rinsing / drying, wherein the individual sub-program steps can be divided into several subsections.
  • the sub-program step pre-cleaning is subdivided into three sub-sections V 1 , V 2 , V 3 and the sub-program step rinsing / drying into two sub-sections K 1 and K, the sub-program step cleaning comprising only one section R 1 .
  • the first subsection V 1 of the sub-program step pre-cleaning begins with the admission of fresh water into the pusher dishwasher, with the fresh water being immediately mixed with cleaning agent in order to produce a detergent solution.
  • the rinsing liquid is first heated to a temperature of about 50 ° C. in the course of the first subsection V 1 and heated to a temperature of up to 70 ° C. in the further course of the washing program.
  • the circulation pump is in operation during the entire subsection V 1 in order to supply the spraying devices in the washing container of the dishwasher with pressurized washing liquid.
  • the remaining subsections V 2 , V 3 , R 1 , K 1 , K 2 have a very similar course to the first subsection V 1 and only differ in their duration.
  • One or more intermediate pumping operations can be carried out during each subsection V 1 , V 2 , V 3 , R 1 , K 1 , K 2 .
  • the intermediate pumping operation can take place at any time in the subsection of the sub-program step and during the operation U of the circulation pump.
  • the drain pump is activated at least temporarily in order to convey the washing residues accumulated in the pump bowl at the bottom of the washing container from the dishwasher in order to achieve the effects described above.
  • FIG. 2 is a schematic representation of a subsection V 1 , V 2 , V3 , R 1 , K 1 or K 2 of the in Figure 1 illustrated method for operating a dishwasher.
  • a subsection V 1 , V 2 , V 3 , R 1 , K 1 or K 2 of a partial program step is subdivided into the three operating modes, wash mode, intermediate pump mode and empty pump mode.
  • wash mode the washing residues removed from the wash ware are collected in the pump bowl at the bottom of the washing container
  • the intermediate pumping mode the washing residues are removed from the pump bowl by temporarily activating the drain pump from the dishwasher
  • empty pumping mode the washing liquid is essentially completely pumped out of the dishwasher.
  • the operation of the circulation pump, the drain pump, the spraying devices and the shredding device is each characterized by a crossbar in the relevant line of a matrix, which consists of the vertical lines to subdivide the sub-sections flushing mode, intermediate pumping mode and empty pumping mode and the horizontal lines to show the operation of each Circulation pump, the drain pump of the separate spray devices and the comminution device is formed.
  • a bar in the line of the circulation pump indicates the operation of the circulation pump and the length of the bar corresponds to the duration of the operation of the circulation pump and thus the circulation operation during the relevant subsections of flushing mode, intermediate pumping mode and empty pumping mode.
  • a bar in the line of the drain pump indicates the operation of the drain pump and the length of the bar corresponds to the duration of operation of the circulation pump and thus the pumping operation during the relevant subsections of intermediate pumping mode and empty pumping mode.
  • a bar in the row of separate spray devices indicates the operation of the spray devices and the length of the bar corresponds to the duration of operation of the separate spray devices and thus the loading of the wash ware with rinsing liquid during the relevant sub-pumping section.
  • a bar in the line of the shredding device indicates the operation of the shredding device and the length of the bar corresponds to the duration of operation of the shredding device and thus the shredding of flushing residues during the relevant sub-sections intermediate pumping mode and empty pumping mode.
  • the circulation pump is essentially in continuous operation during the sub-sections of the flushing mode, intermediate pumping mode and empty pumping mode.
  • the circulation pump and the drain pump are activated at least temporarily at the same time.
  • rinsing residues are conveyed out of the dishwasher together with some of the rinsing liquid via the drain pump during the circulating operation, which has the advantages described above.
  • the separate spray devices are separated from one another and operated alternately in order to support the collection of the flushing residues in the pump pot at the bottom of the flushing tank.
  • the comminution device is activated at least temporarily during operation of the drain pump in order to comminute the washing residues accumulated in the pump bowl at the bottom of the washing container and thus to be able to better transport them out of the dishwasher.
  • the suds pump is ultimately in operation, in order to convey the washing liquid preferably completely out of the dishwasher at the end of the relevant sub-program step or subsection. The cleaning performance of the dishwasher is improved by the essentially complete exchange of the washing liquor between the sub-program steps or between the subsections of the sub-program steps.
