Definitions

  • the invention relates to a belt system with a 3-point belt, with a first shoulder belt diagonally crossing the breast of the vehicle occupant and a lap belt holding the pelvis of the vehicle occupant, and a 2-point belt with a second shoulder belt crossing the first shoulder belt, the upper end of which with a Belt retractor is connected and the lower end can be fastened in a belt buckle.
  • Such a belt system is known for example from EP 820 909 A2.
  • This system provides two independent straps with two shoulder straps crossing each other. Both straps are 3-point straps that can be put on independently and are equivalent. It is also proposed there to activate the immobilizer or a warning device when the belt is not fastened so that the driver does not start without the belt fastened.
  • the invention is based on the object with a belt system of the type mentioned, the risk of improper handling and thus keeping the risk arising from incorrect investing as low as possible.
  • the invention avoids that the user only puts on the 2-point belt and believes himself in avoidable safety, without being protected by the much more important 3-point belt.
  • the 3-point belt can be put on in a particularly simple manner by a sensor or switch in the belt buckle, by means of which it is determined whether the buckle tongue is locked in the buckle.
  • the actuator prefferably be electrically operable, so that the signal from the sensor can be used particularly easily to block the belt retractor.
  • This can e.g. be an electromagnet consisting of a conductive core and a spool and a blocking lever, which blocks a control disk of a known vehicle-sensitive and / or webbing-sensitive blocking system via a toothing and thus causes the belt spool to be blocked in the retractor frame.
  • Such systems are particularly advantageous if the retractor is arranged in the seat back and different backrest positions should not have a negative impact on the locking behavior of the retractor.
  • Fig. 1 Belt system with 3-point and 2-point belt Fig.2a / b: Belt retractor with electrical actuator
  • the 3-point belt consists of the first shoulder belt 11 and the lap belt 20, which are fastened to the vehicle and / or the seat structure in the upper and lower fastening points 4 and 5, respectively, and via a belt tongue (not shown) in the second lower fastening point 6 merged and attached to the vehicle again.
  • the upper attachment point 4 is usually arranged on the B-pillar of the vehicle. When the belt is in position, the upper body is restrained by the shoulder belt 11 and the pelvis by the lap belt 20, which is intended to prevent the so-called sub-marining. The upper body can be held back even better by using an additional 2-point belt 2.
  • the 2-point belt 2 extends in the applied state from the side of the seat facing the vehicle inside diagonally to the lower fastening point 5 and thereby crosses the first shoulder belt 11 of the 3-point belt system.
  • the belt system described results in optimum symmetrical restraint for the vehicle occupant, the forces acting on the occupants being considerably reduced compared to the use of a conventional simple 3-point belt.
  • the tensioners 9 and 10 are also assigned to the attachment points.
  • the reel 13 can be seen in the released state and in the Fig.2b in the blocked state.
  • the retractor 13 has a belt reel 15 with a ratchet wheel 14 that has a toothing 16 on its outside.
  • an actuator 17 can be seen that engages in the toothing 16 via a blocking lever 18 and thus blocks the ratchet wheel.
  • a blocking element (not shown in the prior art) is in turn actuated by which the belt spool 15 is ultimately fixed in the roller frame.
  • the actuator 17 consists of an electrically conductive core and a coil surrounding it. Is by the coil of the actuator 17 Electrically, this causes induction to move the core and above it to swing out or swing in the blocking lever 18.
  • the signal for actuating the actuator 17 is generated by a sensor and / or switch assigned to the 3-point belt system, by means of which it is detected whether the 3-point belt is fastened or not.
  • This can be, for example, a Hall sensor which detects the plug state of the same in the belt buckle, a system assigned to the retractor, for sensing the pull-out of the belt or the like.
  • the retractor of the 2-point belt is only released when the 3-point belt is put on, so that the occupant can not put on the 2-point belt without first having the seat belt, in good faith 3-point harness.
