Definitions
- the invention relates to a multi-layer body armor armor for body armor garments and a body armor garment with a corresponding one multi-layer body armor-armor element (in the following mostly short Armor element called).
- the invention relates to a multi-layer armor element with a puncture and impact protection layer, a bombardment protective layer and one in the intended use of the body armor element facing away from the body Outside, wherein the puncture and impact protection position when intended Wear closer to the outside than the bulletproof layer.
- Such armor elements are known, e.g. from DE 44 13 969 A1. They serve in particular for the production of so-called puncture, impact and bulletproof vests and other body armor garments.
- position all types of structures, such as tissue, Knitted fabrics, chains and the like understood in armor and body armor garments fulfill a specific function.
- a situation can be so also consist of a variety of thin layers or films.
- stab and impact protection layers in the following mostly short stab protection layers called
- stab and impact protection layers usually made of relatively stiff, often metallic materials such be that the impact or sting energy is distributed over a large area and a Schlag- or puncture weapon rebounding at a corresponding stab protection position
- tissue or knitted fabric made of highly tear-resistant practically inelastic organic synthetic fibers, in particular aramid fibers enforced, in which a projectile can superficially penetrate, but the projectile how to catch a net and not let it penetrate.
- sting protection layers can already penetrate from relatively small-caliber projectiles while using very sharp objects, e.g. Ice picking possible is to pierce bullet-proof layers.
- the threat of stabbing has increased since both mentally confused As well as fanatized assassins often resort to stabbing weapons, on the one hand easily too on the other hand, are much easier to conceal than firearms Need for body armor armor elements that provide both protection against attacks with punching and stabbing weapons, as well as protection against attacks with firearms.
- the armor element known from DE 44 13 969 A1 offers this Protection by combining a sting protection layer with it immediately adjacent Fire-protection layer.
- the anti-bombardment layer reinforces the stab resistance layer, that non-perpendicular impacting bullets at the stab protection layer while maintaining a lot of their kinetic energy are deflected and as ricochets deadly. Can cause injury. So it can be e.g. be one of one Person making a using appropriate armor elements Wearing a protective vest, an attacker thrown to the ground shoots at the person from below, the projectile meets the vest and from the vest unhappy in the Head of the person wearing the protective vest is directed.
- the invention is based on the object, an armor element and a body armor garment made using appropriate armor elements not just a puncture and puncture protection with combined with a bullet proof, but also the risk of rebounding a bullet on an armor element largely avoids.
- Fig. 1 is purely schematically a section through a designated in its entirety by 10 Body protection garment shown in the known manner with an armor element is provided.
- Such armor elements may e.g. at or be sewn or sewn into a body armor garment or provided therefor Receiving pockets are inserted.
- the armor element has in the embodiment shown a bombardment protective layer 12 and a puncture and impact protection layer 14, between which a buffer layer 16 is arranged.
- the bombardment protective layer 12 is z. B. aramid fibers, which is the advantage has that at relatively low weight a very safe protection against the Shooting with handguns in the sense of the technical guideline mentioned above is possible.
- the puncture and impact protection layer 14 is preferably made of light metal or a Light metal alloy, in particular an aluminum alloy, which has been surface-treated can be.
- a Light metal alloy in particular an aluminum alloy, which has been surface-treated can be.
- puncture and impact protection sheet have from cold-hardened aluminum alloys particularly well proven.
- the buffer layer 16 Between the stab protection layer 14 and the bombardment protection layer 12 is a buffer layer 16 arranged.
- the buffer layer 16, the thickness of which in a preferred embodiment 7.5 mm, is elastic at least in dimensions and preferably also in dimensions compressible and prevents so that the bombardment layer 12 and the puncture and Impact protection layer interact in an undesirable manner and one under one. certain Angle impinging projectile rebounds at the sting protection layer.
- the buffer layer and processing forms thereof are suitable for the buffer layer and processing forms thereof, e.g. Plastic fibers in the form of tissues or knitted. Also by means of open or closed-cell plastic foams the desired effect can be achieved.
- honeycomb structures made of suitable Materials. Such materials need not be compressible, it's enough if their structure, in particular cell structure, locally limited sufficiently easily by a projectile can be destroyed.
- the buffer layer can in particular also itself be multi-layered and e.g. a knitted layer and a foamed layer include. It is ultimately important that the buffer layer in the case of a direct concerns of Sting protection layer and bombardment protective layer occurring unwanted stiffening of Sting protection position, which can cause a rebound of a projectile, prevented.
- the buffer layer sting protection layer 14 and bombardment layer 12 in the Arrangement according to the invention now also advantageous when intercepting a projectile cooperate, if the armor element as intended, that is so is worn, that the bombardment layer 12 is closer to the body of the wearer as the puncture protection situation: then an impinging projectile must first the Stab penetration layer 14 or at least penetrate into it before it on the Shelling protective layer 12 hits.
- an impinging projectile must first the Stab penetration layer 14 or at least penetrate into it before it on the Shelling protective layer 12 hits.
- penetrating or penetrating into the sting protection layer loses the projectile but already part of its kinetic energy and Deformed so that it can be easily caught by the bombardment protective layer.
- the bombardment protective layer Thinner can be selected as in armor elements without stab protection, which has an advantageous effect on the total weight.
- stab stab layer 14 and the act Shock-protective layer 12 also advantageous when intercepting a blow or stitch together, because the bombardment layer 12 cushions the stab and impact protection layer 14, so that the armor element or one with one or more such Armor element (s) Provided garment pleasant wearing owns and on the usual in pure stitch and impact protection elements bodyside Padding can be dispensed with.
- the bombardment protective layer i. d. R. also anti-puncture properties and thus allows a thinner stitch and Impact protection layer when used alone for a 100 Joule stitch and Impact protection would be required.
- the body protection garment 10 be coated at least on one side with an outer fabric 18, on the one hand covers the protective layers, so that the garment unaufmatiger too wear, and on the other hand also offers the possibility of connecting means such as e.g. Eyelets or hook-and-loop fasteners can also be attached later.
- the outer fabric can also have the function that garment to form at all, so its individual parts in a certain form together.
- a cushioning spacer layer 20 is arranged this increases the wearing comfort, because when wearing one with one or more Armor element (s) provided garment inevitably that the wearer touches the protected body parts themselves.
- the outer fabric is 18 better on the armor element.
- the body armor garment has at least two body armor armor elements on, so can the buffer layers in the armor elements also be designed so that one at an angle of at least up to 60 ° to the normal projectile penetrating the outside into a body armor element a handgun in the same or an adjacent body armor armor element stuck.
