- the Contact socket for a tab with a in cross-section rectangular pin with a predetermined width and thickness.
- the Contact socket comprises a contact element which forms a longitudinal axis.
- the Contact element has two resilient contact tongues extending along the longitudinal axis approach each other and each have a contact zone intended for this purpose are to contact the connector pin clamped between them.
- the contact zones lie opposite each other.
- the contact socket further comprises a support element, which is tubular and limited by walls that the contact element enclose. In the support member, the resilient contact tongues are accommodated. The contact tongues are acted upon by supporting tongues.
- the support element has on two opposite walls in each case a locking tongue, the between the resilient contact tongues and their contact zones, as long as the Flat plug is not inserted, hold biased at a distance from each other, which is less than the thickness of the inserted plug pin.
- the locking tongues should also lead the tab during insertion. They are after bent inside to the contact point area and are with the associated walls connected to the insertion of the contact terminals near ends.
- EP 0 352 871 B1 is a contact socket for a tab with a in Cross-section rectangular pin, called in the description box spring explained.
- the contact socket comprises a contact element which has a base section has, from which two resilient contact tongues extending from the first end extend along the longitudinal axis and approach each other.
- the tongues form contact zones at their free ends.
- the tongues strive, starting from the contact zones, apart.
- the contact element and in particular the resilient contact tongues are of a so-called over-spring (support element) enclosed, wherein the over-spring has over-spring arms, which on the reeds rest and additionally support them.
- the invention is therefore based on the object to provide a contact socket, in which it is also ensured that the contact tongues with a high biasing force keep a pin between them during operation, so that a cheap electrical connection is made, but is also suitable, To dampen vibrations that occur during operation on the pins.
- the locking tongues are resilient, that the free distance between the two locking tongues before insertion of a connector pin is less than the width of the connector pin and in that the locking tongues contact the plug pin in the inserted state along the longitudinal axis in a contact region which is further offset from a first end of the support element than the contact zones of the contact tongues.
- An advantage of this design is that the pin, in the contact socket is recorded, both on the contact tongues as well as on the locking tongues is resiliently applied, so that a secure holder is given.
- the resilient contact tongues are associated with the contact element. This is due to the hollow rectangular shape of the base section rigidly designed, with the additional support over the contact element enclosing support element takes place. It is because of this design too possible, the contact element and the support element made of different materials to design. It is advantageous, for example, if the support element consists of a is made of stainless steel and, for example, formed from a sheet so that a box shape is created, whereby the locking tabs also cause that the predetermined position is maintained and no rotational displacement occur can.
- the contact element may be made of a material having a has good electrical conductivity.
- Such a structure is particularly important because it is extremely small Sockets, which are intended for example for connector pins in which the rectangular cross section has a width in the range of 1 mm and a thickness in the Range of 0.6 mm.
- a further embodiment provides that the support element is the connection to the Conducted while the contact element only two interconnected Having contact tongues which are received in the support member.
- the means for electrically conductive connection of a conductor are shown formed integrally with the support member Crimplaschen.
- the contact tongues subsequent to the contact zone in the direction of the insertion opening diverge the contact socket again.
- the Contact tongues end in front of an insertion opening of the support element and that the Support element by inwardly on the free ends of the reeds to evert Wall sections of the two contact tongues covering walls guide surfaces form for a plug pin to be inserted. This prevents accidentally the pin can get under the reeds.
- a contact socket according to the invention is under contact element 1, 101 respectively the To understand element that includes the contact tongues 3, 103.
- the support element 16, 116 is always the element that receives the contact element 1, 101.
- the Crimplaschen thus, either the contact element, as in the embodiment is provided according to Figures 1 to 6, or the support member, as it is at the embodiment of Figure 7 is provided to be assigned.
- Both embodiments of the contact socket serve with a flat plug to be connected, which has a pin 5, as shown in Figure 8 is and has a width B and a thickness D.
- the width B is for example 1.2 mm, while the thickness D is 0.63 mm.
