Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pistol consisting of a base housing and a sliding carriage guided thereon, which consists in cross section of two side walls and therebetween a top wall, in the interior of which runner front run a run and behind a firing pin and an impact spring included insert is attached.
  • US Pat. No. 6,263,607 discloses such a pistol.
  • the impact energy required for triggering the shot is applied to the firing pin by a striker spring housed inside the carriage in pistons with firing pin firing.
  • the space in the design of firing pin and striker spring is correspondingly narrow.
  • both parts are concentric, either surrounds the spring the bolt, or the spring is received in a rear quiver like extended bolt, and the whole assembly is inserted from behind into a long longitudinal bore in the insert.
  • the available length of the assembly in particular the striker limited the spring force and thus the impact. This can lead to ignition problems. This problem will come to the fore in the future due to the more and more legally prescribed low-emission primers, which need a higher impact energy.
  • the insert is easy to work (no more deep drilling!) And has plenty of room for firing pin and striker inside, which are simply inserted from above into the cavity before installing the insert.
  • the insert has the shape of a trough, the rear wall can be connected impact resistant with the carriage, which benefits the life.
  • the guide surfaces can be simple surfaces, which allows a clean management with low production costs.
  • the recess on the top of the firing pin for receiving the striker needs, also thanks to the good leadership in the insert, not be concentric with the top of the firing pin.
  • the front and rear walls delimiting the recess can be very far apart so that more space is available for the striker in the longitudinal direction.
  • the spring can thus not only be stronger, it is also less obstructed in their movement.
  • the cross section of the firing pin and thus also of the free space, can be designed very freely within the scope of the invention. In extreme cases, it is so wide that the space laterally only from the Longitudinal walls of the insert is limited.
  • the recess is an upwardly open longitudinal groove. In both cases, despite its mostly eccentric position, the spring is surrounded on all sides by surfaces, but with sufficient clearance. Both the longitudinal wall of the insert and the groove is easy and cheap machined with high accuracy, such as by milling.
  • the guide surfaces in the insert and the mating surfaces of the firing pin form the three sides of a rectangle.
  • the whole firing pin is a cuboid body in its basic form, and therefore easily machined.
  • the shutter bolt is secured against rotation and its mass, and thus the potential impact energy can be increased
  • the rear wall of the box-shaped insert piece forms the abutment for the rear end of the striker spring and abuts the rear end of the carriage.
  • the former does not require a separate abutment and no screwing for the assembly. The latter increases the impact resistance and thus the service life.
  • the insert is connected at two points by means of horizontal pins or the like with the carriage, which pins pierce the carriage in its entire width.
  • the pin can pierce the rear wall of the insert at the rear connection point.
  • the rear sight can be integrally formed with her.
  • the rear sight can be arranged very deeply with respect to the barrel axis, which facilitates sighting and helps to achieve better hit results.
  • the production costs and the number of parts are further reduced.
  • Fig. 1 the base housing 1 is only indicated.
  • a carriage 2 is guided displaceably in a known manner.
  • Fig.3 is approximately U-shaped and consists of two side walls 3,4 and in between a top wall 5.
  • the top wall 5 of the carriage 2 has approximately in the middle of its length an opening 6 and terminates at the rear end surface. 7
  • an insert 8 is attached inside the rear part of the carriage 2. It is trough-shaped and has two side walls 9,10, a bottom 11 with a slot 12, an end wall 13 front and rear an abutment 14 forming the rear wall. In the interior of the insert 8 so a high space 15 is formed, the guide surfaces 16,17 and 18 which (see Figure 3 and even better in Figure 4) in cross section are the three sides of a rectangle.
  • the insert 8 is firmly connected by means of shear pins 29,30 with the carriage 2.
  • the two shear pins 29, 30 at a great distance from each other serve to secure the insert 8 in the carriage 2. This Attachment and the concerns of the rear wall 14 on the end face 7 of the carriage 2 result in a bounce-proof and durable connection.
  • a firing pin 20 is slidably disposed in the longitudinal direction. He is an approximately cuboid body, the front of the actual striker pin 22 and the rear has a down through the slot 12 by projecting flag 21, which cooperates with a trigger device, not shown.
  • the firing pin 20 has mating surfaces 26, 27, 28, which together with the guide surfaces 16, 17, 18 of the insert 8 form a precise longitudinal guide. Furthermore, the firing pin 20 has in its front part a rearwardly open shoulder 23, of from the back to the rear end of the firing pin 20, a clearance 24 is formed. This free space 24 is bounded laterally here by the side walls 9, 10 of the insert piece 8, below by the body of the firing pin 20 and at the top by the cover wall 5 of the carriage 2. He reaches back to the abutment 14.
  • a striker 33 is housed.
  • the front end 34 is supported on the shoulder 23 and the rear end 35 on the abutment 14 from. It can be seen how much space is available in the construction according to the invention for the accommodation of a generously dimensioned striker spring 33.
  • the variant of FIG. 4 differs from that of FIG. 3 in that the insert 108 has a larger cavity 115 for receiving a moderate firing pin 20. This firing pin meets the entire height of the insert 8 approximately to the top wall 105.
  • the space for the striker 33 is here a groove 130 which is milled into the firing pin.
  • Both variants use simple and easy-to-manufacture parts. The assembly is simple: striker and striker spring are inserted into the insert, then the insert is inserted from below into the carriage and secured by the shear pins.
  • the rear wall 14 of the insert 8 is thickened in the longitudinal direction and the top wall 5 of the carriage 2 shortened accordingly. Integrally formed with the upper part of the insert 8 is a rear sight. As shown in FIG. 6, it rises just above the silhouette of the carriage, so it is very close to the barrel axis. In the variant of FIG. 7, a dovetail groove 50 for insertion of a dashed line 51 (indicated by dashed lines) is provided at the same location of the insert 8.
