- FIG. 2 schematically shows an open-end spinning machine 1 which has a large number of spinning stations 10 arranged next to one another, each with a spinning device 2 and a spooling device arranged above it to form spools S P.
- a maintenance device 3 For the maintenance of the individual spinning stations 10 during normal spinning, e.g. B. for. Correction of a broken thread or to replace a full bobbin S P with an empty tube H L , a maintenance device 3 is provided which patrols up and down along the spinning stations 10 assigned to it and thereby carries out the required maintenance on the spinning stations 10 concerned.
- the maintenance device 3 has a control device 30 which is connected to a control center 4 by means of a control line 300. This is located in one of the two end frames 11 of the open-end spinning machine 1 and has, inter alia, a switching device 40 with a first switching element 400 for switching on and a further switching element 401 for decommissioning the open-end spinning machine 1.
- this control center 4 has two triggering devices 41 and 42 assigned to trigger a first or a second group of auxiliary work K I / P I or K II / P II (FIG. 1), which will be discussed below.
- the open-end spinning machine 1 is in normal spinning mode A.
- the open-end spinning machine 1 is stopped by actuating the switching device 40 (step B).
- the operator wants to carry out the planned maintenance work, he actuates the triggering device 41 or 42 depending on the desired group of auxiliary work K I / P I or K II / P II (step G).
- the control center 4 activates the maintenance device 3 via the control line 300 and the control device 30 (step I), which now triggers auxiliary work C which is carried out in preparation for the maintenance work D to be subsequently carried out by the operator.
- the operator can carry out the manual maintenance (step D) at any time. If he has finished the manual maintenance (step D), the auxiliary work E to complete the manual maintenance work (step D) can be carried out by actuating the trigger device 41 or 42 (step M) are triggered.
- step F After completing the auxiliary work E to complete the manual maintenance the open-end spinning machine 1 can at any time Spinning will resume (step F). To this end the switching element 401 is actuated (step R), whereby the open-end spinning machine 1 starts up again and with the help of moving again placed maintenance device 3 in succession at the spinning stations 10 carries out a piecing process (step S) until after all the spinning stations 10 assigned to the maintenance device 3 are normal again Spinning conditions prevail (step T).
- auxiliary work C or E various operations can be carried out as part of the auxiliary work C or E before or after manual maintenance (step D) of the open-end spinning machine 1.
- step D manual maintenance
- the program H I is used to prepare for a batch change
- the program H II is used to clean one or more of the elements or units of the spinning devices 2. This will be explained in more detail later.
- the maintenance device 3 for carrying out the auxiliary work C is initially brought into one of its end positions after the initiation by actuation of the trigger device 41 (step G) and after the selection of the desired program H I and H II (step J ), from where she starts her journey along the spinning stations 10 and carries out the same auxiliary work K I or K II at each spinning station 10 in accordance with the selected program H I or H II . If the maintenance device 3 has carried out the auxiliary work K I or K II at all of the spinning stations 10 to be operated by it, the maintenance device 3 is moved back to its starting position (step L) and stopped there (step M).
- the operator can start the manual maintenance work (step D). If it has finished this, it can trigger the execution of auxiliary work E as completion of the maintenance work. For this purpose, it actuates the triggering device 41 or 42 (step N), which is reported to the control device 30 of the maintenance device 3 (step O), which then performs the auxiliary work P I or P II at the spinning stations 10 assigned to the maintenance device 3 in accordance with the previously selected program H I or H II performs. When these are completed at all spinning stations 10 assigned to the maintenance device 3, the maintenance device 3 is stopped (step Q).
- each spinning device 2 has a spinning element which, depending on the type of open-end spinning machine 1, can be designed as a spinning rotor 5 (as shown), a friction spinning element, an electrostatically operating spinning element or the like.
- the spinning element designed as a spinning rotor 5 is located in a housing 50 which is connected to a vacuum source and which can be covered by a cover 51.
