The specimen was heated to 1,250°C for 5 minutes by direct charge of an electric current at a fixation distance of 110 mm, and cooled to 1,100°C at a cooling rate of 10°C/sec. After 10 seconds of keeping at 1,100°C, tensile test was carried out at a strain rate of 10 -3 /sec. In the tensile test, the area reduction at the site of breakage was determined and the hot workability was evaluated based thereon.
  • the steels Nos. 30 and 31 are composite free cutting steels, and the steel No. 32 is a resulfurized free cutting steel. These are steels (materials corresponding to JIS SUM23L or SUM23) are so far regarded as highest in machinability. As is evident from Table 3 and Table 4 as well as Fig. 2, the steels of the invention are definitely superior in suppressing the tool wear even when compared with the steels Nos. 30 and 31. Furthermore, no crack were observed at all in the steels Nos.

    gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass er in Masseprozent aus 0,05 bis 0,19 % C, 0,4 bis 2,0 % Mn, 0,21 bis 1,0 % S, 0,03 bis 0,30 % Ti, nicht mehr als 1,0 % Si, 0,001 bis 0,3 % P, nicht mehr als 0,2 % Al, 0,0010 bis 0,050 % O (Sauerstoff) und 0,0001 bis 0,0200 % N, und wahlweise einem Element oder mehreren Elementen ausgewählt aus 0,001 bis 0,01 % Se, 0,001 bis 0,01 % Te, 0,005 bis 0,3 % Bi, 0,0050 bis 0,3 % Sn, 0,0005 bis 0,01 % Ca, 0,0005 bis 0,01 % Mg, 0,0005 bis 0,01 % Seltene Erden-Elemente, 0,01 bis 1,0 % Cu, 0,01 bis 2,0 % Ni, 0,01 bis 2,5 % Cr, 0,01 bis 1,0 % Mo, 0,005 bis 0,5 % V und 0,005 bis 0,1 % Nb besteht, wobei es sich bei dem Rest um Fe und Verunreinigungen handelt und bei dem die Gehalte von Ti und S die nachstehende Beziehung (1) erfüllen und das Atomverhältnis zwischen Mn und S die nachstehende Beziehung (2) erfüllt und der ferner MnS mit Ti-Sulfid und/oder Ti-Carbosulfid enthält, wobei es sich bei dem Ti-Sulfid und/oder Ti-Carbosulfid um von dem MnS getrennte Phasen handelt und das MnS in einem Sulfidpartikel nicht weniger als 50 % der Fläche einnimmt: Ti (Masse-%) / S (Masse-%) < 1 Mn / S ≥ 1
  2. Stahl gemäß Anspruch 1,
    gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass er in Masseprozent aus 0,05 bis 0,19 % C, 0,4 bis 2,0 % Mn, 0,21 bis 1,0 % S, 0,03 bis 0,30 % Ti, nicht mehr als 1,0 % Si, 0,001 bis 0,3 % P, nicht mehr als 0,2 % Al, 0,0010 bis 0,050 % O (Sauerstoff) und 0,0001 bis 0,0200 % N besteht, wobei es sich bei dem Rest um Fe und Verunreinigungen handelt.
  3. Stahl gemäß Anspruch 1,
    gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass er in Masseprozent aus 0,05 bis 0,19 % C, 0,4 bis 2,0 % Mn, 0,21 bis 1,0 % S, 0,03 bis 0,30 % Ti, nicht mehr als 1,0 % Si, 0,001 bis 0,3 % P, nicht mehr als 0,2 % Al, 0,0010 bis 0,050 % O (Sauerstoff) und 0,0001 bis 0,0200 % N und zu Lasten von Eisen aus einem Element oder mehreren Elementen ausgewählt aus 0,001 bis 0,01 % Se, 0,001 bis 0,01 % Te, 0,005 bis 0,3 % Bi, 0,005 bis 0,3 % Sn, 0,0005 bis 0,01 % Ca, 0,0005 bis 0,01 % Mg und 0,0005 bis 0,01 % Seltene Erden-Elemente besteht, wobei es sich bei dem Rest um Fe und Verunreinigungen handelt.
  4. Stahl gemäß Anspruch 1,
    gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass er in Masseprozent aus 0,05 bis 0,19 % C, 0,4 bis 2,0 % Mn, 0,21 bis 1,0 % S, 0,03 bis 0,30 % Ti, nicht mehr als 1,0 % Si, 0,001 bis 0,3 % P, nicht mehr als 0,2 % Al, 0,0010 bis 0,050 % O (Sauerstoff) und 0,0001 bis 0,0200 % N und zu Lasten von Eisen aus einem Element oder mehreren Elementen ausgewählt aus 0,01 bis 1,0 % Cu, 0,01 bis 2,0 % Ni, 0,01 bis 2,5 % Cr, 0,01 bis 1,0 % Mo, 0,005 bis 0,5 % V und 0,005 bis 0,1 % Nb besteht, wobei es sich bei dem Rest um Fe und Verunreinigungen handelt.
  5. Stahl gemäß Anspruch 1,
    gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass er in Masseprozent aus 0,05 bis 0,19 % C, 0,4 bis 2,0 % Mn, 0,21 bis 1,0 % S, 0,03 bis 0,30 % Ti, nicht mehr als 1,0 % Si, 0,001 bis 0,3 % P, nicht mehr als 0,2 % Al, 0,0010 bis 0,050 % O (Sauerstoff) und 0,0001 bis 0,0200 % N und zu Lasten von Eisen aus einem Element oder mehreren Elementen ausgewählt aus 0,001 bis 0,01 % Se, 0,001 bis 0,01 % Te, 0,005 bis 0,3 % Bi, 0,005 bis 0,3 % Sn, 0,0005 bis 0,01 % Ca, 0,0005 bis 0,01 % Mg und 0,0005 bis 0,01 % Seltene Erden-Elemente und zu Lasten von Eisen aus einem Element oder mehreren Elementen ausgewählt aus 0,01 bis 1,0 % Cu, 0,01 bis 2,0 % Ni, 0,01 bis 2,5 % Cr, 0,01 bis 1,0 % Mo, 0,005 bis 0,5 % V und 0,005 bis 0,1 % Nb besteht, wobei es sich bei dem Rest um Fe und Verunreinigungen handelt.
  6. Stahl gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, wobei der Si-Gehalt weniger als 0,1 Masse-% beträgt.
  7. Maschinenteil umfassend einen Stahl gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6.
