Definitions

  • the invention relates to a container for accommodating objects, such as tools, small parts or the like. There is often the need for such containers, eg. B. for transport purposes, to stack and connect to each other in a stacked state.
  • This packaging container contains four side walls, a bottom, a cover and an interior adapted to the shape of the tools.
  • the side walls and the bottom are made of a dimensionally stable material, and the outer surfaces of the side walls are provided with locking means for engaging fasteners for connection to each one of an overlying second packaging container.
  • the side walls, the front walls and the floor consist of a one-piece component.
  • each container is made in one piece from plastic and has a bottom, two longitudinal walls and a side wall. In the area of the upper edges of the walls tabs are formed, with which a connection can be made to each overlying container.
  • a box having two longitudinal walls and two side walls.
  • the boxes are open at the top. Between the side walls several slats are arranged, which form a floor. The longitudinal walls and the floor are not connected.
  • the boxes can be stacked on top of each other and attached to each other with the help of wire hangers. (US 2,155,688).
  • a container which consists of two plastic side walls and one consisting of a one-piece carton blank sheath.
  • the side walls have on their upper side projections which can engage in corresponding recesses on the underside of the side walls of the next higher container (US 4211358).
  • projections are also formed on the upper side of the side walls, which can engage in corresponding recesses on the underside of the same side walls, thereby stacking two containers one above the other.
  • the invention is based on the object to provide a container which can be stacked with a simple structure, has a high strength and optionally even in a stacked state is still usable, thus allowing access to its contents.
  • the invention proposes a container with the features mentioned in claim 1. Further developments of the invention are the subject of dependent claims.
  • the container proposed by the invention thus contains two side walls, wherein the stack between containers to be arranged one above the other between the side walls is effective.
  • the body of the container, which is arranged between the side walls therefore need not absorb any load caused by the stacking. It is thereby possible to form the container for stacking very stable, without having to have a stability in all parts, which would be required only for the stacking, but not for the other purposes of the container.
  • the stacking device may be provided in a development that the stacking device has complementary formations on the top or bottom of the side walls. There are no additional facilities required that would have to be made as separate components.
  • foot-like projections and recesses are formed on the top of the side walls. Not only is a stacking option created, which effects alignment in the correct state, but also creates a secure support on the ground for the respective other container.
  • the foot-like projections may also be useful if the container is not stacked in an individual case, or for the lowest container.
  • the stacking device and / or the side walls are formed such that the corpora stacked containers have a distance from each other. Between the individual containers so, except where appropriate, the side walls, a vertical distance exists. It is ensured that even with tolerances in the production of no load on the side walls connecting parts of the container
  • the invention provides that the connecting device between the side walls is effective.
  • the connecting device also absorbs certain forces.
  • the displacement of this connecting device to the side walls supports the possibility of the body only with regard to its actual function, namely the accommodation of objects, form.
  • the connecting device has a single connecting element for two side walls arranged one above the other.
  • the connecting element can be locked with formations of at least one side wall. It may be in this training to projections, which can be easily made in the manufacture of the side wall with. As a result, additional manufacturing steps during manufacture are not required. It is conceivable to design the connecting device so that it is present as a separate element that is attached after the stacking of two containers.
  • the invention proposes that the connecting element is mounted on a side wall of the container, in particular pivotally. This is a way to attach the connecting element to the associated side wall captive.
  • the Connecting element does not interfere when a container is not stacked, it is provided according to the invention that the Connecting element can be attached to an associated side wall in a rest position.
  • the invention further provides that the container has handles attached to the side walls. These are handles that can be swiveled. Thus, it is possible to provide the handles with a rest position in which they protrude slightly over the side walls or not protrude, and from which they can be pivoted to the position in which one can carry the container.
  • the invention provides that the handles are in their rest position at least partially in recesses in the outside of the side walls. They are only slightly over in this way and therefore interfere only slightly.
  • the recesses may be formed so that a user can engage with the hand next to the handle in order to move the handle out, in particular to swing out.
  • the body is formed as a separate component, which is then subsequently connected to the side walls. In this way it is possible to produce, for example, the side walls and the body of a completely different material.
  • One way of making it is to make the body from aluminum, from a relatively thin aluminum sheet. This can then be pressed or screwed to the side walls in the edge region.
  • To reinforce the body made of sheet metal may have additional side parts, ie sheet metal parts which extend parallel to the existing plastic side walls. These can be made of thin sheet metal whose edges are bent vertically. These bent edges can then be connected to the rest of the body to which they are parallel. This creates a circumferential double-walled edge, which can be exploited for pressing the body with the plastic side walls.
  • the edge may include punched out, which are pressed outwards as a rag. They form barbs, which engage in corresponding grooves of the side walls in existing openings during pressing.
  • an elastic material may be present on the bottom of the groove. For example, in the groove a rubber thread can be inserted, which is dimensioned so that it generates a corresponding bias. He then presses the barbs in the holes provided.
  • the reinforced by additional side panels made of sheet metal body has the effect that it can be made very stable and torsion-free. This is also possible with relatively thin sheets, in particular when the side walls are connected to the plastic outer side walls.
  • the connection can also be done in other ways than described above, for example, by the fact that the edges of the body are bent inwards and thereby form a flange. Through this flange, a screw can be made with the existing plastic side walls.
  • This division of the various functions of a container namely in the torsion-resistant body and the plastic side walls, has great advantages. All functions that deal with stacking, transporting, touching and so on can be laid in the plastic side panels. There handles can be attached, rollers for transport, the alignment and facilities for stacking the containers, etc.
  • the container may be constructed in any way in which the container may be constructed.
  • the body has a bottom, a front wall, a rear wall and a lid that can be opened.
  • the bottom, the rear wall and the front wall may be made of a single piece of aluminum sheet, the lid then closing the remaining top.
  • the lid can be both a sliding lid and a hinged lid.
  • the container may be constructed in another way in which the container may be constructed.
  • the body has a bottom, a rear wall and a top, while the front can be opened, for example in the manner of a flap.
  • the body has drawers that can be moved, for example, in guides. Even then, the container can be used if it is not located in a stack at the top.
  • Figures 1 and 2 show, simplified, two superimposed containers according to the invention.
  • the two side walls 1 of both containers can be seen in an end view.
  • Both side walls are substantially planar, see Figure 2, and have a rectangular periphery with rounded corners.
  • foot-like projections 2 are formed, which can engage in corresponding recesses on the upper side 5 of the side wall 1. This will be explained later in detail.
  • the side walls have a handle 3, which is arranged in a recess.
  • the recess is shaped so that a user at the bottom of the handle 3 still has enough space to attack on the handle 3 and this to pivot the illustrated position upwards. This will also be explained below.
  • a connecting element 4 is arranged, which connects the two side walls, if they are stacked on each other.
  • the connecting element 4 has been transferred to a rest position in which it is not on the upper edge 5 of the upper side wall 1 before.
  • the connecting element 4 is therefore always held captive on the side wall and can be placed in case of need in a position in which it can ensure the connection.
  • a respective body 6 is present on the side walls, which has approximately cuboid shape.
  • the underside 7 of the body 6 has a clear distance from the upper side 8 of the respective body 6 arranged underneath.
  • the body 6 may be completed, for example, by means of a lid 9 from above.
  • Other types of training of containers are possible, for example, with drawers that can be pushed forward or backward out.
  • FIG 3 shows a representation similar to Figure 1 of a side wall of a container.
  • the handle is removed in this presentation.
  • the already mentioned in Figure 1 recess 11 includes a horizontally extending portion which is intended for receiving the actual handle 3.
  • the recess is pulled upwards and forms two compartments 12 which serve to support the grip 3.
  • four projections 13 are integrally formed in the recess 11, whose height measured perpendicular to the surface of the side wall 1 is slightly lower than the depth of the recess 11 measured in the same direction.
  • the projections 14 in the middle of the upper edge 5 correspond to projections 15 in the middle of the lower edge 10 of the side wall 1. Also at this point, the recess 11 has no edge, but goes directly into the lower edge 10 of the side wall 1.
  • Figure 4 now shows a cross section through the side wall 1 approximately along line IV-IV in Figure 1. This line is slightly offset, so that the section in the left half of Figure 3 is placed through the projections 13, while it is right in the figure 1 above the projections 13 passes.
  • the protrusions 15 on the underside of the side wall, which can also be seen in the section of FIG. 4, and the projections 14 on the upper side of the side wall 1 serve to fix the connecting element 4 either only on the side wall 1 or on the side wall 1 and the side wall 1 lying above it ,
  • the projections 13 serve to support the handle 3 in its swung-out position.
  • the side wall 1 has the same wall thickness everywhere, so that the depressions on the front side are compensated by corresponding depressions on the rear side, in FIG.
  • a narrow recess 16 circulates on the rear side of the side walls in the edge region, which can serve to receive bottom and side walls from a thin aluminum sheet, which is then pressed together with the side walls.
  • a bearing opening 17 is formed in the edges formed by the recess, wherein the two bearing openings 17 are aligned.
  • the two bearing openings 17 serve to receive a shaft which forms the axis of rotation for the handle 3.
  • a bearing opening is formed, which is not in the sectional plane of Figure 4 and therefore can not be seen.
  • Figure 5 shows an angled section along line V-V in Figure 3. In both end regions hooks 19 are seen, which serve the already mentioned fixing the bottom of aluminum sheet.
  • FIG. 6 now shows the handle 3 already mentioned in FIG. 1 from its underside, that is to say in FIG. 3 from the rear side of the plane of the drawing.
  • the handle 3 includes an elongate web 20 having a cylindrical cross-section. It can be optically divided by grooves 21. In the end region of the web 20 each have a leg 22 is formed, wherein both legs 22 lie in a plane. The legs form the connection between the side wall and the web 20.
  • FIG. 7 shows a perspective view of a connecting element 4, which has also already been mentioned in FIG.
  • the connecting element 4 has the shape of a flat trough in cuboid shape.
  • the inside, which is right rear in Figure 7, is divided by three partitions into four compartments.
  • the three partition walls 26 are shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, which represent cross sections through the arrangement of FIG.
  • the section of FIG. 8 is laid by the height of the circular openings 27 to be seen in FIG.
  • This opening 27 is continued as an opening 28 in the partitions 26.
  • the aligned openings 27, 28 form the bearing for a shaft, which engage in the end areas in the bearing openings 18, see Figure 4.
  • the connecting element 4 is fixed by a certain amount pivoted on the side wall 1.
  • the side walls 29 of the connecting element 4, which also have the bearing openings 27, include locking lugs 30, which serve to connect the connecting element 4 both in the rest position, at the top in Figure 1, as well as in the connecting position, in the middle in Figure 1, with side walls to lock the depression.
  • locking lugs 30 are also apparent from the section of Figure 9.
  • FIG. 10 shows, on an enlarged scale, a section through the mounting of the handle 3 in the pivoted-out position.
  • the handle 3 is mounted with the already mentioned shaft 31 in the bearing openings 17.
  • the top of both legs 22 bears against a surface 32 which bounds the recess 11 at this point.
  • the surface 32 is perpendicular to the front of the side walls 1.
  • the underside of the legs 22 is in their end portions 23 at the top of the four projections 13, which are shown in front view in Figure 3.
  • the bearing of the shaft 31 is thus greatly relieved by the fact that the webs abut both above and below on parts of the side wall.
  • the projections 13 reach the depressions 24 in the underside of the legs, so that the pivoting down of the handle 3 is not hindered.
  • the cross-section of the web 20 of the handle 3 is elliptical or oval. The distance of the web 20 from the front of the side wall 1 is still chosen so large that a user can reach through with his hand.

  • the metal profile includes a hook 87 which corresponds in shape to the projection 82. Behind these hooks 87, the pivot lever 58 can engage with its opening 62.
  • the second elliptical leg 88 serves to be supported on the upper edge of a side wall, so that upon closing of the connecting element, the plate 84 is pressed against the top of the side wall.
  • the leg 88 see Figure 30, is laterally offset from the arranged in the middle leg 87.
  • the distance between two legs 88 from each other corresponds approximately to the distance between two feet at the bottom of a container.
  • Figure 30 shows a longitudinal section through a hinged lid serving as a way of using the container.
  • the hinged lid 90 consists of a metal part, which is folded down along its edges and inside.
  • a second inner lid 91 is pivotally mounted, which can be opened when the hinged lid 90 is open inwards, ie away from the hinged lid 90.
  • the hinged lid 90 is open inwards, ie away from the hinged lid 90.
  • flat parts, papers or the like can be accommodated.
  • the container described herein can be clamped in any manner with other containers, but also with the plate 84 as just mentioned.
  • Several containers can be arranged one above the other and next to each other, wherein a connection can optionally take place via a table top 84. This allows the containers to be combined into workshop trolleys or workbenches.
  • the boxes can be placed on a frame provided with castors in the form of a frame.
  • the container may, for example, as mentioned in the appended claims, be constructed as a combination of a metallic body with plastic side walls.
  • the body can not only have a folding or sliding cover, but also have a hinged front wall or one or more drawers. Also combinations of hinged lid and drawers are possible.
  • a container has a lid or hinged front wall, these can be locked by means of sliders in the closed state, in addition to or alternatively to a closing device by means of a lock.
