Definitions

  • the invention relates to a consumable rotary disk for machining material surfaces with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • a fan end grinding wheel or elastic flap disc is on the market under the name MAGNUM COOL TOP .
  • MAGNUM COOL TOP is on the market under the name MAGNUM COOL TOP .
  • the annular zone provided with the support surface of the grinding lamellae is solidly made of plastic and continues radially inward following the annular support surface in a radially narrow relative first annular cross-sectional zone, which faces away from the support face of the body in the circumferential direction distributed cup-shaped recesses is provided so that between the recesses equidistant radially extending webs relatively large wall thickness, ie a wall thickness of about 2 mm, remain.
  • the recesses have a mean extension of about 5 mm in the circumferential direction.
  • the first rib profile formed thereby is closed at the end face of the main body provided with the bearing surface and open at the other end face.
  • a hub disc without rib profile Radially inside is a hub disc without rib profile, which faces away from the end face of the main body with the rest of the end face is radially aligned and is set cup-shaped on the provided with the support face of the body while reducing the axial wall thickness.
  • the hub has a central round opening.
  • the invention is specifically concerned with base bodies of injection molded material.
  • other sprayable material may be considered, for example, metal.
  • the invention is based on such consumable rotary disks, in which the base body is shaped differently than in a spraying process, such as while forming the base body of a metal sheet or of a non-injectable glass fiber reinforced plastic.
  • the material processing covering subject to abrasion is consumable, but also the basic body, which is expediently permanently connected to the material processing coating via a binder, in particular an adhesive.
  • the binding agent used may also be the binder of a material processing coating in which abrasive articles bonded in a binder are used.
  • the provided on the front end face of the main body material processing covering completely covers the uninterrupted on this side face; the ribs extend on the rear end side of the base body continuously without intermediate reinforcing in the circumferential direction from the outer edge of the base body into connection to a hub forming the central base.
  • This prior art rotary disk with recyclable body is designed specifically for the special case as a honing tool, in which a soft fiber structure of the material processing pad can detachably hook with a support surface.
  • the invention is primarily concerned with the application of the rotary disk as a grinding tool.
  • Modern such grinding tools should be operable with a maximum working speed of 80 m / s, which corresponds to a minimum breaking speed of 150 m / s.
  • the cost of the material of the body is high in comparison with that of the material processing coating and surpasses this even in rare cases.
  • This share of costs is extremely critical in the case of a mass-produced article, which is the consumable rotary disk according to the invention, for reasons of competition. Added to this is the effort involved in environmentally friendly recycling.
  • the invention is concerned with the conventional construction, in which the respective material-processing coating on an annular support surface is applied externally by a binder, for example an adhesive, generally durably.
  • the support surface may be unbroken, ie closed, in particular in the context of the invention.
  • the invention also includes the possibility of perforated, perforated or perforated, or otherwise provided with recesses, form for the purpose that a binder, such as adhesive, better adheres to the outside mounted on the support surface material treatment coating.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object to substantially reduce the mass of the body in such a conventional structure of a consumable rotary disk, thereby significantly improve the pricing opportunity of mass-produced consumable rotary disk and at the same time substantially reduce the accumulation of recyclable material, and all in a design that allows to meet the requirements of maximum working speed of up to 80 m / s and minimum breaking speed of up to 150 m / s in comparable, and even in individual cases, better.
  • the requirements of a Fielerstirnschleifmaschine with one-sided or even on both sides (claim 18) frontal covering with overlapping grinding lamellae is met.
  • a second rib profile is additionally created on the rear side of the support surface.
  • Both rib profiles are designed to be open between the ribs and can thus be designed with substantial material savings and associated reduction of manufacturing and recycling costs so that they can at least as well as massive body to meet the force requirements of a high-performance rotary disc of the total consumable type. Due to the design options in the design of the profiles while the expert many adaptations to the stresses depending on the nature of the application are given.
  • the hub is a simple central hole in a flat annular disc, which forms the central part of the body. If the hub is retracted into the first rib profile, in addition to a better stiffening in the central region of the rotation disk, a better possibility of mounting the rotation disk on the drive shaft, since the hub is formed axially expanded.
  • the first annular cross-sectional zone between the hub and the support surface for the material processing coating is stepped, while on the other end side forming the hub flat annular disk steplessly merges into the radially adjacent region and the first rib profile open to this end face and closed to the former end face is arranged alone in this stage.
  • a cranked in the radial direction Forming the rotary disc provided in which in the radial direction, the first rib profile is included.
  • the first rib profile between two broad concentric annular ribs is formed in the region of said step, that spoke-shaped in the annular gap between these two ribs extend relatively wide radial webs.
  • the ribs of the first and / or the second rib profile according to the invention instead of such an arrangement with concentric ribs and radially extending stiffening ribs otherwise somehow straight, curved or mixed straight and curved run or the ribs of the first and / or. or second rib profile directly, offset or mixed directly and offset. It is sufficient if the plurality, preferably all, of the ribs of the first and / or the second rib profile are formed as narrow webs.
  • the radially extending and / or extending in the circumferential direction ribs can be interrupted like a truss or assembled in a truss-like manner.
  • first and second rib profile are an annular rib in common.
  • the first rib profile has only one further radially inwardly annular rib, which may then preferably serve as a boundary of a central opening of the hub in the sense discussed above. This does not exclude that in the case of the first rib profile also at least one further annular rib is included in the rib profile.
  • the first and the second rib profile in the sense mentioned is an annular rib common, it is also sufficient if the second rib profile according to the invention has only two further radially outwardly annular ribs.
  • the one rib supports the support surface for the material processing cover in a radially central region and the other two ribs including the rib common to the first rib follow the radially inner and the radially outer boundary of the support surface.
  • first rib profile and the second rib profile open on the end face of the base body which faces away from the support surface for the material processing covering.
  • This allows a one-piece injection molding of the body.
  • an at least partial cover of this back open rib profile is provided.
  • This cover may in turn be an injection molded part, but need not be. It is preferred that the cover over the whole Extent of the open rib profile extends and this closes.
  • This cover can be chosen so that it supplements the body so that it appears from the outside as a massive three-dimensionally extended disk-shaped body.
  • This cover itself can be film-thin, for example if it has the sole purpose of serving as a label or label carrier.
  • This foil-like thickness of the rear cover also generally suffices generally for the wall thickness of the basic body provided with the two rib profiles. So you can also make the present at the provided with the support surface for the material processing cover front cover of the first and / or second rib profile film thin. In this case, however, this wall thickness can also be chosen to be different in different wall areas and / or in comparison of the front with the rear end side. As a measure of the wall thickness can be appropriate to choose the static required wall thickness of the radially extending webs of the rib profile and / or extending in the circumferential direction webs.
  • these webs and the two end-side covers may be formed substantially the same or even the same.
  • the cover of the respective rib profile on the side facing away from the support end face of the rotary disc need not be flat, which may be sufficient in case of a pure label carrier function, but expediently complements at least a radial portion of the first rib profile and / or at least one radial portion of the second rib profile with corresponding supplementary profiles.
  • the cover provided as a supplement to the main body may also have other functions besides the support function for a label.
  • One function may be that of a rear protective cover of the other open main body of the rotary disk.
  • the back cover as a support for another material treatment covering, which may be the same, the same or different in relation to the previously discussed material processing cover arranged on the face of the actual main body of the rotation disk.
