Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a retractable tap for beverage cans, especially for beer-containing cans of a volume of z. B. 5 I.
  • a liquid container with a retractable drain valve is known, which in the filled state of the can is fastened to an opening made near the bottom thereof, the can being ventilated for tapping and the cock designed as a sleeve being pulled out. After a certain length of the sleeve is on the outside, it opens a tap opening so that the drink flows.

  • the handle used to pull out the sleeve is necessarily close to the can wall so that it is difficult to operate.
  • This drain tap has a drain opening designed as a tubular extension, so that obviously a complicated procedure is necessary for the assembly of the tap.
  • the liquid is already at the outlet opening during transport of the container, which places high demands on the tightness of the device. Furthermore, the liquid escapes even when the outlet opening is only partially opened.
  • DE-AS 1077554 describes a liquid container with a tubular, displaceably mounted housing part, in which a tappet valve is arranged.
  • a further disadvantage in this context is that the device has no cover to the interior of the container and since the valve can be actuated in any position of the tubular housing part, an unintentional actuation of the valve with the housing part pulled out leads to immediate liquid leakage even before the first use. If the valve is inadvertently actuated when the housing part is pushed in, it fills with liquid. The liquid escapes when it is pulled out.
  • the tap itself is not ready for operation immediately after it has been driven out, but requires a further operating step.
  • the dispensing means are designed in such a way that after the rotational movement to expel the device, a further rotational movement is necessary for dispensing liquid, the outlet opening of the dispensing means to coincide with the outlet opening of the valve body must be brought. An inadvertent actuation of the dispensing means during the rotary movement of the valve body results in an immediate leak of liquid.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to create a retractable tap for beverage cans, in particular pressure vessels, which is easy to assemble, has improved handling, prevents unintentional leakage of liquid and, moreover, enables the beverage can to be almost completely emptied.
