Definitions
- the invention relates to a sealing element for an eaves, which as a flat band and at least is so wide that it covers the gap between a roof and a gutter can.
- EP 0203670 A2 discloses a sealing element that rests on an eaves roof batten is nailed.
- a eaves comb is positioned above the element. This is from the Roof tiles pressed down to. Deter birds, vermin, etc.
- a plastic corrugated sheet installed, which opens far into the gutter and also from there the roof seals on the eaves.
- Another sealing element is proposed in DE 296 11 015 U1 as an eaves sealing membrane, which is molded in one piece from elastic material.
- the eaves strip is here preformed at a fixed angle and so dips into the gutter.
- a zinc sheet is usually used as a sealing element on the roof, usually on one Side is folded.
- a rigid angle is formed in plastic elements.
- the element is attached as a strip to the rafters or the eaves plank and the angled one Part of the element is led into the gutter.
- This solution is not optimal, because at Different roof pitches arise assembly problems because of the rigidly specified Angular position.
- the angle can also change with temperature changes in this area change.
- such rigidly predetermined angles Necessary, since it acts as a stop when positioning the sealing elements before their final attachment can serve.
- roofing membrane fastened to the rafters over the entire roof (below the roof tiles) and laid up to about 10 to 20 cm before the end of the roof. It is usually on the Eaves-side end fastened to the eaves sheet with adhesive strips or nailed there. there detachments and leaks can occur.
- Eaves air intake elements are known from DE 196 27 750 A1 and from DE 35 01 773 A1, the one in the area of the bend in the gutter in the longitudinal direction of the element have running, meandering pleating. This pleating does help that To simplify bending of the element into the gutter, but it forms a disadvantage an obstacle to water drainage.
- DE 85 27 862 U1 shows a eaves and a support and spacing element for one Eaves, the eaves sealing element described here a rigid and positional Has kink and is smooth.
- the object of the present invention to provide an eaves seal, which Overcomes the above disadvantages of the prior art.
- the eaves sealing element easy to lay and position and suitable for all roof pitches and good be sealing.
- the element is very easy to lay and can be used by everyone possible installation situations are optimally adapted.
- Such special bending zones are like this can be designed so that they prevent the occurrence of leaks, e.g. occur can, if rigid elements are re-bent to adapt to the installation situation have to.
- the element is at least in the region of its gutter protruding end so flexible that it can be done manually or by gravity can be bent into the gutter.
- a predetermined Angling the end projecting into the gutter is dispensed with, so that the eaves sealing element can be used universally, with all possible roof pitches. Because of its flexibility, it will either by gravity alone bend freely hanging end into the gutter or there may be such a bend in the Laying can be done by hand.
- the flexibility required thereby created that the eaves sealing element at least in the area of its in the gutter protruding end is formed as a very thin band, in particular with a thickness of 100 ⁇ m to 1 mm, preferably 150 ⁇ m to 600 ⁇ m.
- the eaves sealing element has at least in the area have at least one bending zone of its end projecting into the gutter.
- the bending zone will either be thinner than the surrounding material or through a corresponding shape, for example by a flat design, a bending ability produce.
- at least one eaves sealing element according to the invention The pleating zones can have pleats running in sections in the longitudinal direction especially formed by flat-worked pleating sections. Such Processing into a flat section is particularly possible if the eaves sealing element is provided as a metal band.
- the metal strip is initially completely pleated and the bending zones then create by flattening longitudinal pleating sections.
- the eaves sealing element can also have additional flat-worked sections have in the region of its roof-side end, which the arrangement of with the sealing element easier to connect components.
- additional flat-worked sections have in the region of its roof-side end, which the arrangement of with the sealing element easier to connect components.
- an eaves ventilation element is attached or a sarking membrane is attached become.
- the eaves sealing element according to the invention has a metal band, this can made of aluminum, copper or lead or another flexible and preferably plastic deformable metal material.
- a metal band this can made of aluminum, copper or lead or another flexible and preferably plastic deformable metal material.
- the metal layer ensures the plasticity when bending into the gutter, while the plastic layers make the sealing element weatherproof.
- the metal layer can, to make it more flexible, be provided with recesses, for example with punched holes, which then through the Plastic layers are covered.
- the eaves sealing element to manufacture from a plastic material. Such production is carried out by spraying or Extrude, and here, too, the bending zones can basically be done by flat pleating sections be formed. In general, all of the mold designs presented above can also realized by an eaves sealing element made of a plastic material become.
- the bending zone according to the invention can also have at least one film hinge. Also it is possible in the area of the gutter-side section on the underside of the eaves sealing element Attach adhesive beads to adhere the element at this point Fasten.
- the sealing material preferably has a width of approximately 250 to 300 mm and can be rolled up, For example, be provided as a roll of about 5 to 10 m in length. It is also also possible to provide the element unrolled in lengths of 1 m.
- the eaves sealing element according to the present Invention have a pleated band, preferably a metal band, in which the bending zones by means of flat sections, in particular flat, attached between pleating sections worked pleating sections are formed.
- a pleated band preferably a metal band
- Such bending zones can now be very different Take on tasks.
- the eaves sealing element has, for example, at least one Bending zone at such a distance from the gutter-side longitudinal edge of the band is arranged and has such a width that the longitudinal edge area over that on the roof edge bending zone coming to lie extends in an arc into the gutter.
- the bending zone can have a distance of 15 to 70 mm from the gutter-side longitudinal edge and have a width of 2 to 70 mm.
- the eaves ventilation element has at least a bending zone that is at such a distance from the gutter-side longitudinal edge of the band is arranged and has such a width that the remaining pleated Longitudinal area bent to fix behind a roof-side inner hook of the gutter can be.
- the eaves sealing element according to the invention can thus be made according to this Position the embodiment firmly on the gutter and ensure an optimal seal with a very simple mounting method on site. The fact that the invention Bending behind the gutter hook takes place, no water splashes into the space between The eaves sealing element and the contact edge penetrate.
- this Eaves ventilation element on at least one bending zone which is at a distance from the gutter side Longitudinal edge of the tape is arranged so that the remaining pleated longitudinal edge area developed to form a water protection edge to the top of the tape at the back, in particular can be bent back to the top.
- the bending zone can be one Have a distance of 15 to 40 mm from the long edge of the gutter and a width of Have 2 to 30 mm.
- the eaves sealing element is made from several interconnected longitudinal elements in the area of their side edges are attached to each other, both side edges being bent back in a U-shape in this area and are mutually engaged in the resulting recording.
- This can be used in particular achieve clawing of two consecutive longitudinal elements in the case of pleated elements, which ensures a good sealing and very firm connection. This connection is also easy to manufacture.
- the engagement area can preferably the longitudinal elements for strengthening the connection to be deformed flat.
- the eaves area shown in Figure 1 has a rafter 17 on which the eaves plank 13 finally rests. Over the rafters 17 and the inner section of the eaves plank 13 runs the underlayment 16, which is also held by the crossbar 15, among other things.
- the eaves sealing element according to the invention is derived without leakage into the gutter 1 provided.
- the attachment and design of the eaves sealing element according to the invention can best be seen from an overview of FIGS. 1 and 2. First, however, the eaves sealing element 1 itself is to be explained in more detail with reference to FIGS. 3 to 6 are explained.
- the sealing element 1 is a metal strip, which in FIG the top view can be seen. It has a width (from left to right in FIG. 3) of approximately 250 up to 300 mm and a thickness of 150 ⁇ m to 600 ⁇ m.
- the sealing element 1 has a flat end on its right side shown in FIG. 3 Area 2, which is followed by a pleated area 8. This is followed by a flat one Area 3, then a pleated strip 7, a flat strip 4a, a pleated strip 7a again flat strip 4b and finally a pleated strip 7b on the left.
- the kind of Pleating in the pleated strip is, in this embodiment, as can be seen in FIG. 6, wavy; but it can also be meandering or zigzag-shaped.
- a side view in the direction of the arrow X in Figure 3 is shown in Figure 5, where again the different pleated and flat sections are clearly recognizable.
- the pleating of individual sections serves two different purposes in particular.
- Figure 4 shows one of the View X in Figure 3 corresponding view for a metal strip (element 1) that is continuous is pleated.
- the band shown in Figure 4 thus corresponds to that shown in Figure 3 without the flat areas 2, 3, 4a and 4b.
- the eaves sealing element 1 is now on as shown in Figures 1 and 2 the eaves misplaced.
- the rear flat section 2 is finally on the roof side roof-side attachment extension of the gutter 10 or between these gutters on the Eaves board 13 placed.
- the underlay 16 is now over the flat section 1 pulled up to the pleated section 8. Then the attachment takes place by gluing or Nailing instead.
- the water can now directly from the roofing membrane 16 to the eaves sealing element flow and is discharged in a straight line through the pleated area 8.
- This flattened section Section 3 is provided so that at this point an eaves ventilation element 20 can be placed, which has a comb 18, which from the roof tiles 9 is pushed down.
- the section of the eaves sealing element according to the invention adjoining the flat area 3 on the left now alternately consists of pleated and pressed sections.
- the area 3 is followed first by a pleated section 7, then a flattened section Section 4a, then a pleated section 7a, a flattened section 4b and finally a pleated section 7b.
- Pleated in this sequence and flattened strips creates a flexible construction that is very simple in the desired one Arc shape can be bent into the gutter. While the remaining pleated Sections 7, 7a and 7b provide sufficient rigidity, the flattened serve Sections 4a and 4b as bending zones, which make it possible for the laying craftsman a suitable bend in the gutter for all possible roof pitches put.
- the eaves sealing element according to the invention can therefore be very universal and regardless of the roof pitch.
- the bending can be done manually and plastically, but it is also possible, for example, that choose the material thickness and the width of the bending zones in advance so that the Gravity forms a suitable arch shape when laying, so that the water from the Unterspannbahn 16 forth safely and without leakage into the gutter.
- the width of the flattened section 4a between the pleated sections 7 and 7a can also be chosen so that the sealing element 1 on its underside in Area 4a over the roof-side inner hook 19 of the gutter 11, so that here at the same time a clear positioning of the element 1 towards the gutter 10 is made possible.
- the metal strip is pretensioned due to its Flexibility is not available, this is only on the eaves plank and with the eaves ventilation element fixed, which in turn for a suitable ventilation of the entire building physics system ensures that the underlying thermal insulation by condensing water can't get wet.
- the number of flat bending zones 4a, 4b can vary depending on the necessary ones Events are determined; for example, it is an adaptation to the size of the gutter conceivable.
- the sealing tape has multiple layers, e.g. three layers with a middle metal layer and two outer plastic layers is formed, the plastic layers are weatherproof and should have a thickness of approx. 0.5 to 0.8 mm. To the flexibility and plasticity too ensure, it is possible, for example, the central metal layer with openings to provide.
- FIGS. 7 and 8 show a further embodiment of an eaves sealing element according to the invention. From its gutter edge KR it consists of a short one pleated remaining area 27, an area 23 with flat deformed pleating, one again pleated area 28, an area of flat deformed pleating 22 and a further pleated edge section 21 on the roof-side edge KD of the element.
- the areas 23 and 22 each form the bending zones.
- Figures 9, 10 and 11 The processing and the assembly state of the element shown in Figures 7 and 8 are shown in Figures 9, 10 and 11.
- Figure 9 is indicated on the right side as the roof-side longitudinal edge section 21 is bent upward over the bending zone 22, so that the sealing strip shown in Figure 10 is formed.
- the strip 21 is up to the Surface of section 28 bent back.
- the element prepared in this way is then on the roof assembled and there as already described above the eaves ventilation element 20 and one Nail 24 attached.
- the nail can be hammered in before folding and bending of the longitudinal edge section 21 is carried out.
- the eaves sealing element now projects over its bending zone 23 with the still pleated longitudinal edge area 27 into the gutter to drain water into it.
- the longitudinal edge section 21 bent back onto the upper side forms a excellent working water protection edge for splash water, which is caused by wind reaches the middle part of the eaves sealing element and is driven upwards.
- This water is caught in the U-shaped curvature in the area of the bending zone 22 and the bent-over longitudinal edge section 21 and can therefore in no way further up penetrate into the roof substructure.
- the roofing membrane 16 runs from the roof to the top projecting section of the longitudinal edge region 21 and is fastened there.
- the eaves sealing element shown in Figures 12 to 14 has a gutter side relatively narrow bending zone 33, which is also a slightly larger distance from the gutter side Edge.
- a gutter side relatively narrow bending zone 33 which is also a slightly larger distance from the gutter side Edge.
- the eaves sealing element On the roof side, the eaves sealing element is designed and fastened in the same way as this was described with reference to Figure 11, except that the sarking membrane 16 now over the longitudinal edge section 31 and under the eaves ventilation element 20 pulled through and thus attached.
- the underlayer 16 thus receives through the Elevation at section 31 has a steeper course and can therefore be driven by wind Keep spray water away better. Even in the case where 16 May form cracks above the eaves sealing element is because of the bent back Section 31 also includes the previously discussed water barrier, the one Preventing the water from running upwards.
- FIGS. 15 to 17 there is a combination of Versions as previously described.
- This embodiment has on the gutter side a wide and close-to-edge bending zone 43, with the advantages as already with regard to The embodiment of Figures 9 to 11 have been shown while in the roof section the underlay 16 has been attached in the same way as with reference to FIG. 14 has been described.
- FIG. 18 and 19 Another advantageous embodiment of an eaves sealing element according to the invention is shown in Figures 18 and 19.
- the sealing element a relatively close and wide bending zone 53 and a pleated remaining longitudinal edge section 57.
- the last-mentioned section 57 has a width that so is adapted that it is bent behind the gutter inner hook 19 when laying can, as shown in the final state in Figure 19.
- This is now a very good fixation of the sealing element in the area of the gutter. Water coming from the roof can directly into the gutter via the inner hook 19 surrounded by sections 53 and 57 flow in, an excellent tightness is achieved because with this design prevents any water between the upper surface of the inner hook 19 and the eaves sealing element enters.
- FIGS. 20 and 21 show yet another embodiment of an inventive one Eaves sealing element shown.
- the bending zones are 63, 62 shaped as very narrow flat pleating areas to show that too such configurations are possible within the scope of the invention and depending on the installation situation are advantageously usable.
- FIG. 22 shows a perspective illustration of the two longitudinal elements 70 and 80 which each have sectionally deformed bending zones 73 and 83. On theirs with KS designated side edges, the longitudinal element 70 and 80 have no flat deformed bending zones more on.
- the side edge regions 79 and 89 are each bent back in a U-shape upwards or downwards.
- the two longitudinal elements 70 and 80 are bent back with these areas brought into engagement with each other like a hook, so that a situation arises as it is cut in Figure 23 is shown. Due to the interlocking and wavy evenly running Pleating areas of sections 79 and 89 create a tight hook that also is still watertight. For example, you can hit it flat with a hammer and thus be further sealed and fixed.
- the invention thus offers an advantageous eaves sealing technology in numerous design variants on.
