Definitions
- the present invention relates to a telecommunication method and a receiving system for performing this method.
- the invention relates in particular to a telecommunications process that is carried out in Broadcast channel can be used.
- the most common broadcast systems are purely monodirectional and therefore have no return channel with which the receiver could send response messages to the sender. For example, that is Case in most radio and TV broadcast systems. If the recipient, for example the radio listener or the television viewer, on a program or want to respond to an advertisement, he must therefore respond to another Access telecommunications system, for example on his phone. If For example, if a product is advertised on television, the interested customer immediately the address or phone number of the Note down product suppliers and call them later manually. The customer has to then identify themselves with the product supplier and the product that interested him, indicate by phone. This process is extremely cumbersome and prone to errors. Because of this, most are Broadcast systems are only suitable to a limited extent for the recipient Move spontaneous purchases during or immediately after an advertisement. In addition, it is difficult to design TV or radio programs in which immediate feedback from the recipient is needed.
- Broadcast channels that have a return channel on which. digital data between a server and several receivers for example are now also sent through a push channel on the Internet known. Depending on the choice and interest of the user, these can be digital Data is then stored and / or filtered in the user's receiving system become. For example, a complete information program can be sent to User, who then e.g. decides only the information to display or save regarding sporting goods or politics. With these Systems can receive a program passively and only then respond, for example, if they have more information about a topic or if you want to order a product.
- Patent application EP 426 542 A1 describes a method for the Distance selling via a television network and a device for execution described the procedure. According to that described in EP 426 542 A1 Teaching television receivers are equipped with chip card readers, and from information received by a broadcaster, the product identifications are contained in a chip card inserted into the chip card reader processed, received information and on the chip card stored user authentication data are processed together, and the result of this processing is based on a command input from the TV viewer shown on the television screen. To a product The television viewer can request according to the in EP 426 542 A1 teaching described delays the result mentioned, for example by means of Mail or telephone, or directly, for example via a cable network, to the Transmitters communicate.
- the Receiver messages not only to the sender, but also to others Partners, for example to suppliers of advertised products, automatically compose and submit.
- FIG 1 shows schematically the system components for the Execution of the inventive method can be used.
- a marketing online studio is shown at 1. Be here individual order numbers 52 prepared, with JAVA applets 50 (JAVA: trademarks of SUN Microsystems Inc.) packed and one or several transmission blocks allocated. These messages will be discussed in more detail later with reference to FIG. 2 explained.
- the media programs are prepared and broadcast in broadcasting studio 2 Split broadcast blocks.
- a transmission block can, for example, an advertisement, a piece of music, a radio play, a commercial, a film, one Website, etc.
- a transmission block can, for example, come as a broadcast studio Radio studio, a TV studio or an internet provider in question.
- the transmitted transmission blocks 4 are shown in FIG. 6 with the allocated ones Messages 5 linked and transmitted through broadcast channel 7.

- the transmission blocks 4, for example advertising messages, and the corresponding messages 5 also by a conventional Mobile communication network 8 are sent, as with the arrow 15 indicated.
- the broadcast media program is transmitted through a receiving system 9 received according to the invention.
- the receiving system 9 can, for example a mobile telecommunications device with an integrated radio receiver his.
- the user can use this system in a very conventional way Mobile network 8, for example a GSM network, make calls, or it as use classic FM receivers, for example, with radio programs headphones 95.
- the receiving system takes place or a television receiver in addition to the radio receiver Watch television programs on the display 90 of the mobile device.
- Mobile devices that are provided with a sufficient screen for Examples of video phone applications are well known and are becoming offered commercially; the professional can easily put a TV tuner in one integrate such a mobile visiophone device, so with this system too can be seen.
- the cellular functions and the radio or TV functions can be operated individually or in combination.
- the radio or TV receiver can be operated like a classic single device become.
- the radio FM or the TV receiver is operative and the mobile radio component in stand-by or in communication mode.
- a special button 92 allows the user to receive a interesting message, the execution of applet 5 and that on FIG. 3 Activate the screen display shown.
- the receiving system 9 can also consist of a radio and / or TV receiver with additional integrated in the housing Cellular communication components exist. It is also possible that Cellular components in a remote control for a television or for to integrate another broadcast receiver. Furthermore, that Receiving system also from a computer, for example a PC or a Palmtop, with integrated radio, TV and / or internet receiver means as well with communication means for a mobile network 8 exist. How later explains, but the method according to the invention can also be used with a conventional mobile radio device 9, e.g. with a GSM terminal.
- the receiving system 9 also preferably contains known ones Means to SMS (Short Message System) and / or USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) send and receive short messages, as well as known filter means to recognize special short messages and temporarily, preferably according to the SICAP procedure, which is under is described in another patent EP 0689 368 B1.
- Encryption and Signing means are also preferably available to receive To decrypt short messages and to send short messages encrypt and sign.
- an encryption method can for example, the TTP method can be used, or also Decryption means that work according to a point-to-point procedure.
- the receiving system 9 can send a short message with a Transmit order number to a server 13 through the cellular network 8.
- the server 13 links the received order number to User identification data from a subscriber database 11.
- This User identification information contains at least the full address of the subscriber.
- the user identification data preferably contain also the language of the user, his bank details or his Credit card companies, subscribed services, etc.
- the subscriber database 11 is preferably the database of the operator of the Telecommunications network 8 for subscriber management. Their content is in So the principle is extremely reliable. It can also be a temporary address for the Participant included.
- the subscriber database contains the User identification data only from users who use the system of Have subscribed to invention.
- the receiving system 9 contains user identification means, preferably smart card reading means to the user of the receiving system to identify with an identification card.
- smart card readers are among other things, common in GSM mobile devices with SIM cards (Subscriber Identification Module) are provided.
- SIM cards Subscriber Identification Module
- Other identification cards to Example cards that are known under the term OpenCard can, however can also be used depending on the receiving system.
- the server 13 then links at least some of those in the User entered short message contained information with the User identification to identify the incompletely submitted of the user to complete.
- the server 13 is with a product / information supplier database 10 connected.
- the in Data linked to server 13 are stored in this database Logistics center 12 of the corresponding supplier, who the ordered products or information then delivers to the user 16.
- a data warehouse server 14 analyzes the data from the user 9 received messages and therefore creates user profiles that are a marketing allow at the point-to-point level. The users can then log on User profile or a group of profiles offered on their Load identification card 94 so that it can also be used for broadcasting can be addressed.
- the user can also order and assign a profile himself leave, for example with a special order message or online with a calculator.
- FIG. 2 shows the structure of message 5.
- Order number 52 itself is packed together with the corresponding JAVA code 50.
- This Java applet is from the Java-compatible SIM card 94 in the mobile device 9 received, which consequently performs an interactive process with the user.
- the Java code 50 is only between the transmitter 1 and the mobile device transmitted so that this interactive process between the Java-compatible SIM card 9 and the user, but not between the mobile device 9 and the server 13.
- the applets can of course also be in another object-oriented computer language.
- Message 5 also includes one recorded in studio 1 User profile 510, with which the data of interest to the user in the SIM card 94 can be filtered. If the invention for example for the Securities trading is used, for example, the user profile Segment of securities in an automatic trading system correspond. The data processing means in the SIM card 9 can then automatically prepare a short message for the server 13 if purchase or Sell signals arise. The user then has the choice to carry out a corresponding process.
- the user profile can be stored in the data warehouse 14 by the user be created by yourself or by combination. With a personal User profile makes it possible for a user to target the products that he’s really interested in.
- the user can send a short message, for example Request a list of profiles and detail segments from the 12th on his Screen 90 is displayed.
- a user profile can also be used online can be ordered on a PC or with a computer.

- the JAVA applet allows selection of Transaction options (order or information), the desired one Quantity (M) and the payment method (Z) with a menu, the selected one Option is always explained in plain text in text area 902 of the screen.
- the user selects a transaction code that is not only When it comes to information, an interactive process preferably follows so that the Authenticity of the user can be ensured.
- This process can be direct on the card 94, for example by means of TTP (Trusted Third Party) or PTP (Point to Point) resources on the map, or interactive in one security server shown.
- TTP Trusted Third Party
- PTP Point to Point
- the process runs analogously.
- the receiving system can also be networked with the Internet and represent web pages. This enables the system to directly access the corresponding web page can be set.
- the method according to the invention can also be used with normal ones Mobile devices that do not contain an additional broadcast channel receiver, are used, as already indicated by arrow 15 in FIG. 1.
- the receiving system has receiving means to pass through a broadcast channel broadcast media program and to receive program-accompanying data and via playback means to to reproduce the received media program to the user. So that can Receiving system messages transmitted as program accompanying data 5 and receive applets 50 (step 20).
- the received messages 5 are then evaluated, whereby this evaluation already takes place when the mobile radio part of the reception system switched off or in stand-by mode. If a message with a Order number 52 received (labeled with the identifier 525), that is User profile evaluated (test 21). If the order number received the process does not match a customer profile (step 23); otherwise this code is processed further. If the mobile device is switched on (test 24), the applet 50 is executed directly and the transmitted information according to Figure 3 shown directly on the display 90 (step 25). The user can then, for example, order products or as described above Request information (step 29).
- the mobile device is switched off, the received one is Message 5 or only applet 50 in a buffer, not shown, on the SIM card 94 or stored in the receiving system 9 (step 26). Only when that Mobile device is switched on later (step 27), the applet 50 is executed and the information displayed (step 28) to allow the user products order or request information (step 29).
