Definitions
- the present invention relates to an epilation device and a method for use of the device, especially for plucking hair from human skin.
- the device consists essentially of a hand-held housing for Inclusion of a motor for driving a device provided in the device, in particular rotatable, clamping device with clamping elements for grasping and plucking the Hair, as well as a means of reducing pain sensation during the Plucking hair, the agent containing at least one electrode.
- Such a device is known from DE 44 08 809 C1, the disclosure content hereby expressly included in the present application.
- this device has in particular two electrodes that are used to pluck the hair at the same time the clamping device can be brought into contact with the skin.
- the device is a generator assigned to stimulation current, in particular a pulse generator or the like, the outputs of the generator being connected to the electrodes.
- a general problem with epilation devices is, on the one hand, their effectiveness when plucking the hair and increasing the pain sensation of the To reduce the user when removing the hair.
- the above the device mentioned accordingly undergoes nerve stimulation by the action of Stimulation current, especially current impulses, to the skin to pass through irritation or stimulation of the underlying nerve structures pain relief or even pain relief while using the device for To pluck the hair.
- Stimulation current especially current impulses
- the electrodes are in contact with the clamping device together with the device Skin, which over the electrodes by means of a pulse generator or the like treating skin with current pulses.
- These current pulses provide for the fact that the body's own pain relief systems exist in the human organism be activated electrically and consequently the forwarding of by the Plucking the hair generates pain impulses that are masked or blocked.
- the intensity of the stimulation current must be set individually so that the user there is a slight tingling sensation in the area between the electrodes or the like felt on the skin, but without triggering muscle contractions can be.
- the object of the present invention is an epilation device and a method, in particular for plucking hair from human skin, further to develop that pain sensation while using the device further is reduced, for example by further masking the plucking pain and that the epilation site on the skin is constantly visible to the user and not through the device itself is covered. Furthermore, the intensity of the superimposed or masking pain evenly and regardless of the angle of attack of the device to the skin surface.
- one of the above Epilation device by the means of reducing pain sensation before the Plucking the hair on the skin creates an electrical spark.
- the nerve stimulation by the spark discharge so positively influenced that, as practical tests have shown, measurable reduction in the sensation of pain when plucking the hair is achieved.
- the user finds the plucking process more pleasant than one Device without the proposed spark discharge.
- the current epilation site is also open the skin is visible to the user at all times and the intensity of the masking of the Plucking pain can be changed individually by the user, so that for the respective individual pain sensation a pleasant intensity is adjustable.
- the Intensity of pain masking does not depend on the angle of attack of the device and thus advantageously ensured at all times during the epilation, since the spark discharge of the required distance between the electrode and the epilating skin surface is dependent.
- the means for reducing the Pain sensation is a voltage source, especially for electrical voltages greater than 0.8 KV, and at least one electrode that can be connected to this voltage source, wherein the electrode is at least temporarily spaced from the skin, so that in the air gap between the skin and the electrode of the spark can be generated.
- the epilation device provided with a means which has at least two electrodes and a high voltage source, contains in particular for voltages between 0.8 and 3.0 KV.
- the at least two electrodes can be connected to the high voltage source and at least a first electrode can be brought into contact with the skin at least temporarily and at least one second electrode is at least temporarily spaced from the skin on so that in the air gap between the skin to be epilated and the first and / or second electrode of the spark can be generated.
- the electrodes are connected to a high voltage source can be connected, the emission of the sparks is advantageously independent of skin resistance and therefore works without skin contact.
- a preferred one Voltage range is between 1.0 and 2.5 KV.
- the at least one first Electrode can be brought into contact with the skin at least temporarily, and at least a second electrode is at least temporarily spaced from the skin there are thus advantageously several possible variations in the design of the first and second electrodes:
- the at least one first electrode in such a way that that it is continuously in contact with the skin to be epilated and that the at least one second electrode can be brought into contact with the skin discontinuously, for example that the second electrode can be moved towards and away from the skin is. This takes place in the air gap between the second electrode and the skin the spark discharge takes place.
- both the first and the second the second electrode is movably attached to the epilation device so that both Electrodes are moved towards and away from the skin at the same time or with a time delay.
- the time offset is such that, for example, the first electrode is in contact stands with the surface of the skin and at the same time the second electrode is at a distance from Has skin so that in the air gap between the second electrode and the skin a spark discharge takes place.
- a third alternative embodiment consists, for example, of two on the epilation device quasi fixed electrodes.
- the at least one first electrode quasi continuously in contact with the skin and the at least one second electrode continuously arranged at a predetermined distance from the skin; doing so, however the at least one second electrode is electronically controlled, so that in the corresponding An electric point of time before plucking the hair on the skin Spark can be generated between the second electrode and the skin.
- At least one electrode is included connected to the clamping device and this electrode in particular as a clamping element, Brush, contact ring, contact disc or the like is formed.
- This electrode can advantageously be produced in a discontinuous contact with the skin, since the electrode turns towards and away from the skin when the clamping device rotates moved away again.
- An electrode that is continuously in contact with the skin is advantageous as a contact shoe, contact clip, sliding contact, suction contact, Contact pad or plate or the like is formed and on the outside of the Device housing arranged.
- the at least one electrode in particular a clamping element, is advantageously assigned a separate contact pin for connection to the high voltage source, which is essentially parallel to the axis of rotation of the rotary cylinder Clamping device runs.
- a separate contact pin for connection to the high voltage source, which is essentially parallel to the axis of rotation of the rotary cylinder Clamping device runs.
- two or more electrodes are in particular clamping elements next to each other on the rotating cylinder and in a row arranged parallel to the axis of rotation.
- clamping elements designed as electrodes on a cylinder provided and all clamping elements of a row in contact with the at the same time epilating skin.
- the clamping elements of a row are offset at an angle arranged to the clamping elements of an adjacent row, so that to a certain Only two clamping elements in a row in contact with the skin at the time come and the clamping elements of the next row reach one to the previous one Row offset contact point on the skin.
- the contact pin has one end Electrode, in particular a clamping element and / or other end with a slip ring or the like can be contacted, the slip ring or the like in turn with the high voltage source is connectable.
- the rotary cylinder has an electrically conductive one Shaft on, which is stored in sockets in the device housing and / or on the one hand, the at least one electrode, in particular an electrical clamping element conductive with the shaft and / or on the other hand at least one socket electrically conductive is connectable to the high voltage source.
- At least one group of electrodes in particular clamping elements provided with the same electrical potential, however, at least two groups of clamping elements with different ones are preferred electrical potential provided; is between the two groups of Electrodes provided an electrically neutral area, in particular an insulator there is no electrical flashover between the two sets of electrodes comes with different electrical potential.
- the thickness of the insulator, or the Distance between the two groups of electrodes depends on the maximum selectable voltage value selected. So you can easily within the clamping device necessary for epilation, in particular the rotary cylinder, both groups of electrodes with different electrical potential are arranged without providing additional components on the device.
- the at least two groups of electrodes advantageously contain, in particular Clamping elements with different potential preferably have the same number of clamping elements, each group having a substantially annular area on the outer surface of the clamping cylinder and when a DC voltage is applied the outer surface preferably has a positive area and an area has negative potential. This is a simple way of making reliable contact guaranteed of the two different potentials on the skin to be epilated.
- clamping elements are preferably provided as strip-shaped lamellae and Adjacent clamping elements can be arranged diametrically in a rotating cylinder be arranged so angularly offset from one another so that when a clamping element of is moved away from the skin, the adjacent subsequent element is just in contact with the skin. This ensures in a simple manner that a constantly Clamping element rests on the skin.
- the clamping elements of the second group can be arranged with the same distribution on the rotary cylinder as that Clamping elements of the first group.
- a regulating or control device is in particular an electrical or electronic circuit is provided, which the Power supply controls, especially that of the second electrode, if the first and second electrodes are in permanent contact with the skin. Reduced further the control device after touching the second electrode with the skin electricity.
- a regulation is proposed which allows first and second electrodes, both electrodes quasi firmly on the Epilation device are arranged, i.e. that the first electrodes as clamping elements a rotary cylinder are formed, the distance between them in the circumferential direction is chosen so small that there is always a clamping element during use in contact with skin.
- this control device ensured that only a very small, no longer noticeable current from the Electrode flows into the skin as soon as the positive and negative poles come in at the same time Are in contact with the skin.
- the process in particular a process step to reduce pain sensation during plucking hair with an electrically operated epilation device has at least one electrode.
- the invention is immediately before Plucking the hair on the skin creates an electrical spark.
- the invention makes nerve stimulation by exposure to stimulation current, in particular due to spark discharge on the skin.
- this Irritation or stimulation of the nerve structures pain relief through masking the plucking pain while using the device to pluck the Hair reached.
- At least one is connected Electrode with a voltage source, especially larger for electrical voltages 0.8 KV and spaced the electrode at least temporarily from the skin such that creates the spark in the air gap between the skin and the electrode.
- the method advantageously leads to tingling or tingling the skin, which noticeably masks the pain of epilation. It is particularly useful it to realize the spark discharge in that in an epilation device the above mentioned type the spark discharge depending on the cyclic plucking of the Hair is controlled, especially in the local and / or each plucking process a spark is sent ahead in time.
- one of the above Epilation device and a method by the agent for reducing pain sensation creates an electrical spark on the skin before plucking the hair, which causes additional pain. This corresponds to the pain in Plucking the hair in terms of its pain characteristics. But he prefers a lower pain intensity than the pain when plucking the hair.

However, the clamping elements can also be any other Have arrangement on the outer surface of the rotary cylinder 14.
- a group of Clamping elements 16 are first electrodes 18, for example with positive ones electrical potential, and a group of clamping elements 16 as second electrodes 20, for example with negative potential, trained and connected to the high voltage source connected.
- Both clamping elements of the first group 18 and the second can Group 20 can be designed as electrodes so that when each individual approaches Clamping element 16 to the skin to be epilated can generate a spark.
- alternative can also have a different number of clamping elements 16 of the first Group 18 and the second group 20 can be designed as electrodes. This is one Influencing the number of spark discharges per revolution of the rotary cylinder 14 as well as influencing the local and temporal spacing of the spark discharges reachable to each other. Preference is given to a DC voltage High voltage all clamping elements 16 of the first group 18 and only every second Clamping element 16 of the second group 20 connected to the voltage source.
- a handle 4 (Fig. 2) can also be equipped with a plucking head 22 which has a clamping device 24 with clamping elements 26. All clamping elements 26 have, for example, of the cylinder 24 as the second electrodes 28 to the same electrical potential.
