Abstract

Selon l'invention, dans un extincteur comportant un récipient, contenant un agent d'extinction, et un logement, destiné à une cartouche de gaz propulseur, ainsi qu'un mécanisme d'actionnement, un élément de sécurité (48) en forme de coin est placé entre l'organe d'actionnement (46) et la tige (22) d'une soupape commandant la libération de l'agent d'extinction soumis à l'action du gaz propulseur, de sorte que, lors du retrait de l'élément de sécurité, la cartouche de gaz propulseur (18) soit ouverte automatiquement au moyen d'un poinçon (24) monté sur la tige de soupape. De cette façon, il est garanti qu'avant le premier actionnement de l'extincteur, le récipient contenant l'agent d'extinction soit soumis à l'action du gaz propulseur provenant de la cartouche de gaz propulseur (18).
