Abstract

Bei einer Verbrennungskraftmaschine wird das eine Ende einer Einlaß- bzw. Auslaßnockenwelle (5,6) an einem vom Zylinderkopfgrundkörper (1) getrennten Lagerblock (32) gelagert, wobei dieser Block (32) so im Zylinderkopf (1) montiert ist, daß er im Querschnitt gesehen ein Zylinderkopfbefestigungsorgan (9) überlappt. Dies ermöglicht, den Motor mit geringerer Gesamtlänge kleiner zu bauen. Zudem läßt sich ein Überhang einer verstellbaren Ventilzeitsteuervorrichtung (10,20) um die Überlappung des Befestigungsorgans (9) verringern.
