Definitions
- the invention relates to a system for keeping food cool the specified in the preamble of claim 1 Art.
- Such a system is e.g. Commonly known in fish retail.
- the fishmonger puts a tub on the counter, fill them with crushed ice and embed them in the top Crush ice the fish for sale.
- Such Cooling systems have the disadvantage that that in the crushed ice embedded refrigerated goods, for sales psychological reasons of course there is free space at the top, corresponding surface heating is exposed. In this case, the Surface heating can be prevented by an additional Refrigeration system is provided that the room above the crushed ice pan cools, that would be apparatus and energy seen however an elaborate solution.
- the refrigerated goods contained in containers are placed in such crushed ice trays located, usually from a refrigerator or refrigerator or the like. Foods like leaf salads, those in the containers with which they are in the crushed ice would be used, surrounded by a lot of air namely, do not let it cool down in the crushed ice.
- Such Crush ice cream pans are only suitable for such foods that are already cooled, actually keep them cool. If the Heat applied from above by an additional cooling unit or an additional cooling room above the crushed ice pan is prevented, then such foods of course also keep cool, but with a high one Energy expenditure.
- the claim 1 in the preamble is a system for keeping food cool shown in which an air flow through a Evaporative cooler cooled and then into individual cooling air flows is divided.
- the cooling air flows are on the one hand a tub filled with food - and behind it Tub over and on the other hand under and under the tub Guided by the side of the tub. Then they meet Cooling air flows again and form a return air flow that removes from the tub back to the evaporative cooler becomes.
- the refrigerated goods are protected from heating and others Protected against environmental influences such as bacteria and the like, however the cooling method is correspondingly energy-intensive.
- a cooling container is known from DE 40 06 272 A1, in which dry ice is used to cool the air flow.
- the coolant tank has a separate refrigerant chamber for receiving of dry ice, from which evaporated carbon dioxide in two Refrigerant circuits on the side wall of a food filled inner container is passed. At his The bottom is the inner container through an inserted shelf isolated from the refrigerant chamber. The use too of dry ice is energy-intensive.
- the object of the invention is a system in the preamble of claim 1 specified type so that the Tub content in a simpler way and with less Energy expenditure before environmental influences such as temperature increase, Bacteria and the like can be protected.
- the enthalpy of the crushed ice exploited to circulate under the tub - And cooling air flow directed over the tub and thus the food embedded in the surface of the crushed ice to cool or keep cool.
- the flow of cooling air through an air flow system of any kind is circulated at cooled the passage under the tub and takes on the way out Heat from the food to be kept above the tub on.
- no refrigeration unit is therefore required, about the surface heating of the crushed ice and the inside to prevent embedded foods.
- the great enthalpy of the crushed ice is used to cool the air flow, and this cooled airflow is used to feed the food keep cool and cool the crushed ice on the surface.
- Airflow system also quieter than a refrigeration unit, because there is no compressor to create an air circuit is required.
- the system according to the invention continues to operate with the best possible efficiency because the cold that the Crush ice pan usually simply releases to the environment, which ultimately leads to the melting of the crushed ice in the Plant according to the invention is used to the air flow cool that circulates around the tub and over the tub is circulated away.
- the system according to the invention comes without a cold source such as evaporative coolers or dry ice to cool the airflow. Because only that in the tub Existing ice is used to cool the cooling air flow is, the system according to the invention is also obvious much more economical than that from US 52 82 367 known system and the cooling container known from DE 40 06 272 A1.
- Claim 2 can be easily using the Air duct an air flow can be generated without the tub in a housing needs to be arranged.
- the air duct can be easily Achieve way by placing the tub in a single housing is arranged.
- the tub By holder on the tub and by counter holder in the design according to claim 8, the tub can be advantageous Tilt towards the viewer as needed. With this type of attachment, the tub can also be can be easily removed from the housing or inserted into the housing.
- the sieve bottom that condensation and cold fall all over the bottom of the tub can.
- the cold and the thawing water cool the flowing past Air in an efficient manner.
- the tub is in easily formed as a frame in which the Advantageously insert sieve bottom. So is an extreme easy insertion and removal of the sieve bottom possible.
- the condensate collection device under the tub the flowing past Cool cooling air through the water surface and with Enrich air humidity. By moistening the airflow lead more easily. Through contact with the There is an additional cooling of the water surface Airflow, so that the efficiency of the system continues can increase. The humidified cooling air continues to prevent drying of the refrigerated goods.
- FIG. 1 shows one in its entirety with the reference number 10 designated system for keeping food cool.
- a Open housing 12 is a tub 14 inclined from above used.
- the tub 14 serves to hold ice (not shown) for keeping food cool.
- ice can be lumpy ice, so-called crushed ice, of which in the following is assumed, or dry ice or the like. act.
- the tub 14 is a total of 16 designated airflow system that essentially from an air intake hood 18, an air deflection hood 20 and one Air duct 22 exists.
- the air intake hood contains an electric fan 19.
- the air intake hood 18 has an air inlet 24 facing the top of the tub 14 is.
- the fan 19 sucks air out through the air inlet 24 the area above the tub 14 and directs the air into the Air duct 22 between the tub 14 and the housing 12 downwards.
- the air flows at the bottom of the tub (in Fig. 1 left) upwards, enters the air deflection hood 20, leaves this via an air outlet 26 and is again through the air intake hood 18 sucked in, in order to circulate around the tub 14 redirected and in particular over the top of the Tub contents to be led away immediately.
- the housing 12 which is open at the top, is rectangular in cross section.
- the Tub 14 is cuboid.
- the fact that the tub 14 as in Fig. 1 shown, from the air inlet 24 to the air outlet 26 out is arranged inclined downward in the housing 12 results training in the area between the tub and the housing Air duct with several constrictions and extensions of the Cross-section.
- the air intake hood 18 and the air deflection hood 20 are designed to be pluggable in the illustrated embodiment.
- the air duct 22 contains in the area between the Trough 14 and the right wall of the housing 12 in FIG Filter 40, preferably in the form of an activated carbon filter or a zeolite filter.
- the trough 14 is designed as a sieve trough. It consists of one Frame 34, in which a sieve tray 37 is inserted, the lower edge of the frame rests on shoulders 35. Shoulders 35 delimit an opening that is essentially the entire Occupies the area of the bottom of the tub 14.
- the sieve bottom 32 consists in the illustrated embodiment from a perforated grille Made of stainless steel, which is corrugated in cross section is carried out (see. Fig. 4) to the passing air to present as large a surface as possible.
- a perforated grille Made of stainless steel, which is corrugated in cross section is carried out (see. Fig. 4) to the passing air to present as large a surface as possible.
- the tub rests on four counterholders 30, which protrude inwards from the inside of the housing 12, as shown in Fig. 1.
- the clear width of the opening the housing 12 is only slightly larger than the inside Width of the tub 14 in the direction parallel to the holders 28, so that in the tub 12 inserted into the air duct only upstream and downstream of the tub and below the tub extends, but not on the sides of the tub.
- the Pan 14 the airflow also on their sides between the holders 28 are passed. In this case, a appropriate sealing of the air duct may be required.
- a condensate collecting device 36 is arranged under the tub 14. It is in the illustrated embodiment simply around the lower part of the housing 12, in which condensation that collects when it is in the tub 14 contained crushed ice melts.
- the defrost water collection device 36 has a device 38, by means of which a maximum Water level 37 of the defrost water is adjustable.
- the maximum Water level 37 is preferably at a distance from the lowest Part (in Fig. 1, the lower left edge of the tub 14) held.
- the device 38 here is a float valve, e.g. of the type Ballfix. This maintains the maximum water level 37 at that shown Height and leaves excess condensation for this purpose expire automatically.
- the tub 14 is filled with crushed ice, and into the top of the tub's crushed ice filling foods to be kept cool (not shown) embedded in such a way that they are surrounded on all sides by crushed ice, but after exposed at the top.
- the tub 14 as shown in the Housing 12 is arranged on the counter holder 30, it is for Customer side inclined (in Fig. 1 left), so that the tub content can be easily viewed.
- the fan 19 is switched on, preferably with low voltage e.g. 12 volts off a transformer 42 is operated. This guides you Circulate airflow in the manner already described above the wall around.
- the housing 12 is made preferably from cold-insulated walls, e.g. made of laminating material.
- the system is suitable for turning warming counters to cold keeping counters retrofitting or refrigerated counters that were previously only available Crusheis are operated, additionally with a cooling air flow system to provide an air curtain over the top of the tub contents.
