Definitions

  • the invention relates to a sewing thread according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • From the DE-A-1 265 109 is a sewing thread made of twisted endless synthetic threads known, on which a dried dispersion is applied in a complex work process.
  • the purpose of the preparation is not the concentration of the circumference of the thread, but it is a sufficient thread-to-thread adhesion - in a degree as is the case with threads of natural fibers are achieved, a shift of the thread and an unwanted To prevent falling of the outer thread layers on the sewing thread body.
  • a problem of the conventional sewing yarns is that, due to the demands placed on them, they require a construction which has a certain hardness after sewing and in the seam.
  • a very important quality feature of a seam is that the two to be joined fabrics are connected via the seam so that a smooth seam is ensured, the desired softness is achieved and a seam gap and fraying are avoided. Only in this way can the functional and aesthetic requirements of a seam be met.
  • Another important quality feature of a seam is that it does not affect the wearing properties or is perceived as very disturbing. Especially in swimwear, underwear, bodices and the like, the disadvantage is that the softness of these garments worn directly on the body is lost when conventional sewing threads are used.
  • DE-A-1 265 109 a way in which a twisted synthetic continuous yarn is stabilized and fixed by heat treatment in a laborious process, passed through a bath with a dispersion and then dried and wound up and dried.
  • the sewing thread is after this process completely, so to speak continuously and without interruption, surrounded by a thin coating.
  • the method according to DE-A-1 265 109 is applicable to a twisted synthetic filament, but not to a bulky sewing thread.
  • the regression takes place successively, depending on the stability of the flexible sheet, i. the materials to be sewn.
  • the regression of the thread can be done within an hour, but if necessary, even after a few days, depending on the structure and composition. In certain cases, the regression takes place even after one or more washing or cleaning operations. This depends on the individual case, within which times and by what process the stabilizing agent contained in the fabric can be solved or converted by the laundry or cleaning.
  • the seam curl occurs whenever the recovery force of the suture is greater than the stability of the material connected by the suture over the suture.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a sewing thread, which is so bescbaffen that the desired seam strength is achieved by the elongation during sewing, but the restoring forces ("memory effect") can not occur, which otherwise act within a period of time.
  • the sewing thread preferably made of synthetic material in a soft structure, but also with low twisting twist and bulky, voluminous structure is guided in such a dispersion that he with.
  • the dispersion is coated preparative.
  • it is more or less impregnated with the dispersion in such a way that fine pores and spaces are filled with it or the filaments are mutually connected to one another.
  • the yarn applied to the sewing yarn or dried in it is dried, as a result of which the sewing yarn receives its stabilization.
  • the stabilizing effect When sewing on machines, the stabilizing effect, if necessary, also prevents untwisting of the individual threads of a cotton sewing thread.
  • a water-dispersible powder based on a terpolymer of ethylene, vinyl laurate and vinyl chloride has proven to be particularly favorable.
  • a water-dispersible powder of a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer having good saponification resistance can be used.
  • this resin is softer, elastic a little stickier. Deformability and abrasion resistance are improved.
  • Both dispersion powders also have a color-stabilizing property.
  • the mentioned dispersions can also be mixed together.
  • an antiblocking agent can be added to these mixtures, for example a copolymer dispersion of acrylic ester having a minimum film-forming temperature of more than 100 degrees Celsius and precipitated silica or fumed silica.
  • the respective mixtures can be adapted to the physical properties of the sewing thread.
  • a treated in the manner described above sewing thread shows not only the mechanical stabilization and a color stabilization. In itself non-washable colors are stabilized by the treatment described above, so that a washing out of the colors is practically impossible.
  • a particular advantage of the above-mentioned dispersion powder is that they can be washed out again even at low washing temperatures, so that the bulking yarn is in its initial state again after the sewing process and a subsequent washing process.
