Definitions

  • a very important quality feature of a seam is that the two flat structures to be connected are connected via the seam in such a way that a smooth seam is ensured and seam gaping and fraying are avoided. This is the only way to meet the functional and aesthetic requirements of a seam. • a very significant impairment of the wearing properties, especially in swimwear, underwear, corsets, etc., is the fact that the softness is worn directly on the body clothing is lost when using conventional sewing thread.
  • the reason for the seam puckering is that the sewing thread is stretched too much when passing through the guides and through the thread lever of the sewing machine. After the sewing process, the sewing thread is shortened to its original length (memory effect). This then causes unwanted seam puckering in the seam, since the thread can only recede in the seam by pulling together the flexible flat structures.
  • the regression takes place successively depending on the stability of the flexible fabric, i.e. the materials to be sewn. • This treatment prevents unwanted opening of the sewing thread during sewing. This ensures that bulk yarn can be used universally as a needle and tab thread.

Abstract
